Luke 7:16
7:16 Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen up among us"; and, "God has visited His people."

Theme of fellowship in Nias is "God has visited His people."

2 Samuel 7:24
7:24 "For You have made Your people Israel Your very own peopleforever; and You, LORD, have become their God.

Actually the people of God are Israelites, the physical descendants of Abraham.

Romans 11:25-26
11:25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
11:26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

There are only two kinds of nation in the world, namely Israelites and Gentiles.
A part of the Israelites has been stiff-necked and rejected Jesus, so the chance and grace for Gentiles are opened to become the people of God. In such condition, all spiritual Israelites, namely the Israelites and the Gentiles can be visited by God.

In Luke, there are three times the visitation of God is written as follows:
  1. Luke 1:67-69
    Luke 1:68
1:68 "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people,
  2. Luke 7:11-17
    Luke 7:16b
7:16b "God has visited His people."
  3. Luke 19:41-44
    Luke 19:44
19:44 "and level you, and your children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your visitation."

Tonight we discuss the first visitation.
Luke 1:67-69
1:67. Now his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying:
1:68 "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For
He has visitedand redeemed His people,
1:69 And
has raised up a horn of salvationfor us In the house of His servant David,

God visits His people through raising up a horn of salvation, that is to say giving Jesus to save sinful people.

Why does Jesus have to come into the world to save His people?
It is because all things in the world such as intelligence, wealth, position, et cetera, cannot save sinful people. Even all men in the world such as prophets, apostles, et cetera, are sinful also so they cannot save the other sinful people.
Jesus is the only one man coming from heaven who has no sin so He is able to save the sinful people in the world. Jesus is the only one horn of salvation in the world.

Christmas is the time of God's being born in a man who is not sinful, namely Jesus, who has to die on the cross to redeem and save the sinful people.

Judges 15:16
15:16 Then Samson said: "With the jawbone of a donkey, Heaps upon heaps, With the jawbone of a donkey I have slain a thousand men!"

Exodus 13:13
13:13 "But every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. And all the firstborn of man among your sons you shall redeem.

If a donkey is not redeemed by the blood of a lamb, it is only born to die because the neck must be broken.
Meaning, the donkey, referring to the Gentiles, will have these matters if they are not redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God:
  • There will be no relationship with God; they cannot commit service and ministry to the Lord. In shorts, they become useless and meaningless.
  • Being born only to wait for eternal perdition.
Thus, the Gentiles have to receive Jesus as the horn of salvation, otherwise they are perished.

The process of receiving Jesus as the horn of salvationis as follows:
  1. Knowing assuredly = having faith or believing in Jesus as the Lord.
    Acts 2:36-40
2:36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredlythat God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
2:37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
2:38 Then Peter said to them, "
Repent, and let every one of you be baptizedin the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2:39 "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
2:40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation."

    John 3:16
3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

    Romans 10:17
10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

The true faith to Jesus comes from hearing the word of God, namely the Word in anointing of Holy Spirit. Clever man maybe cannot receive the Word but all men can receive the Word as long as there is the anointing of Holy Spirit.

The width of Tabernacle is fifty cubits, referring to the Pentecost or the anointing of Holy Spirit. We can pass through the Gate because of the anointing of Holy Spirit.

Our faith will become firmer if we like to hear the Word.

It is a miracle when we can believe in Jesus.

  2. [Acts 2:38] Repenting.
    Matthew 18:3
18:3 and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

It means stopping sinning to return to God.

    Revelation 21:8
21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

These eight sins lead men directly to go to hell. We have to repent tonight.
These eight sins are contrary to the eight men who were saved in Noah's ark.

  3. [Acts 2:38] Being baptized of water and Holy Spirit.
    John 3:5
3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

We were born by our mother as physical men in flesh and blood who were suitable to live in the world. Therefore, we have to experience the renewal of life through water and spirit resulting in heavenly life, namelylife in righteousness and we hold fast to the true teaching Word.

    Being unrighteous means being unsaved.

Living in the righteousness and holding fast to the true teaching Word, one becomes righteous man.

Be alert! Sins and false teaching always disturb the righteous. Do not give a little chance to them because they are as leaven destroying the righteousness. A little leaven leavens the whole righteousness and salvation.

    Galatians 5:9
5:9 A little leavenleavens the whole lump.
Let us have the visitation of God tonight through Jesus, the horn of salvation.

The results of receiving God's visitation through Jesus as the horn of salvation are as follows:
  1. The horn is the power of God's love and grace to save sinful people, or to make us righteous people.
    Psalm 37:25-26
37:25 25 I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.
37:26 He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.

The righteousness is our heritage to our descendants. The righteous will be blessed even to the descendants, and they will become blessings for other people.

  2. The horn is to defend and to attack. It is the power of God' love and grace to make us endurable and victorious.
    Romans 8:35-37
8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

The Church of the Lord is as sheep for the slaughter which is powerless. We need the horn of salvation to defend and prevail.

    Psalm 85:11-13
85:11 Mercy and truth have met together; Righteousness and peace have kissed.
85:12 Truth shall spring out of the earth, And righteousness shall look down from heaven.
    85:13 Yes,
the LORD will give what is good; And our land will yield its increase.

If we defend by the power of God's love and grace in faithfulness, without any disappointment and hopelessness, God will make all things good.

    Romans 8:37
8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

The Lord also will make us more than conquerors, meaning He gives us victory although we are powerless because His love and grace fight instead of us.

  3. The horn is God's love and grace to renew and change our life from carnal man to become as glorious as Jesus is.
    Zephaniah 3:17-18
3:17 The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing."
3:18 "I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, Who are among you, To whom its reproach is a burden.

    Mark 13:28
13:28."Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.

The renewal of life begins with being meek.
The example of the hardest man is the wicked men crucified beside Jesus. They despised Jesus but one of them could be meek finally.

    Luke 23:41-43
23:41 "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong."
23:42 Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."
23:43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

This wicked man is the image of a person who has failed totally, been wicked, unclean, and lived in curse and tears.
The Lord waits for our being meek. He will not lift us up if we are not meek yet.

Being meek means confessing all sins and failures. Afterward, we worship God, trust, and entrust ourselves fully in Him.

As a result, there is miracle to change curse to paradise. The paradise means the preservation of God, joy, and success. Finally, we are changed to be as glorious as Jesus is when He comes a second time, to welcome His second coming on glorious clouds. We enter into the marriage supper of the Lamb of God, up to the kingdom of peace a thousand years, and eternal Heavenly Kingdom, where there is no more tears.
God blesses you.
