Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 3:7-10

3:7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":
3:8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
3:9 "Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie––indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
3:10 "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.

Jesus appears as He who has the key of David for the church in Philadelphia to do three great things as follows.

  1. Opening the door that cannot be shut by anyone [Revelation 3:8].
  2. Giving victory over the synagogue of Satan [Revelation 3:9].
  3. Keeping us from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world [Revelation 3:10]

We are learning the second one.
Revelation 3:9
3:9 "Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie––indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

The synagogue of Satan refers to the liars. They say that they are Jews and are not.

1 John 2:4

2:4He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

The liar means someone who confesses that he knows Jesus, but disobeys the Word.
Disobedience attacks the great servants of God from age to age. The examples and consequences are as follows.

  1. The beginning or the age of Father God that is counted from Adam to Abraham for approximately two thousand years. The representative is Adam and Eve.
    Genesis 3:6
3:6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

Adam and Eve disobeyed the command of God because she heard the strange voice of the serpent. Adam heard the strange voice of his wife. Be careful in the matter of hearing because it will determine our life destiny.
Adam and Eve were the great servants of God who lived in Garden Eden. Nevertheless, they could be disobedient because of hearing wrong thing. Do not give opportunity only once to hear the strange voice.

The consequences of the disobedience are as follows.

    • Nakedness and fear.
      Genesis 3:9-10
3:9 Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"
3:10 So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself."

It begins from the fear of seeing God or hearing the true teaching Word. Consequently, there is no help, but anxiety, doubt, and worry.

    • Being driven out of Garden Eden.
      Genesis 3:23
3:23 therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.

It means losing the atmosphere of Garden Eden and entering the one of curse, fear, sorrow, up to perdition. Daring to hear strange voice or other teachings means that one dares to move from the atmosphere of Garden Eden to the one of curse.

  2. The middle age or the one of the Son of God that is counted from Abraham to Jesus’ first coming for approximately two thousand years. The representative is Saul.
He was a great person as the first chosen king for Israelites. Nevertheless, he was disobedient two times as follows.

    • In distress.
      1 Samuel 13:6, 9-13
13:6 When the men of Israel saw that they were in danger (for the people were distressed), then the people hid in caves, in thickets, in rocks, in holes, and in pits.
13:9 So Saul said, "Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me." And he offered the burnt offering.
13:10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.
13:11 And Samuel said, "What have you done?" And Saul said, "When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash,
13:12 "then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering."
13:13 And Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever.

He was disobedient because of following the mind of flesh or logic. Although it seems logical, but it is not in line with the Word.

    • When he was blessed.
      1 Samuel 15:13-15
15:13 Then Samuel went to Saul, and Saul said to him, "Blessed are you of the LORD! I have performed the commandment of the LORD."
15:14 But Samuel said, "What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?"
15:15 And Saul said, "They have brought them from the Amalekites; for the people spared the best of the sheep and the oxen, to sacrifice to the LORD your God; and the rest we have utterly destroyed."

He was disobedient because of following the intent of his heart or fleshly wills.

      1 Samuel 15:20-21

15:20 And Saul said to Samuel, "But I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and gone on the mission on which the LORD sent me, and brought back Agag king of Amalek; I have utterly destroyed the Amalekites.
15:21 "But the people took of the plunder, sheep and oxen, the best of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the LORD your God in Gilgal."

He heard the voice of the multitude rather than the one of God.

      1 Samuel 19:23-24

19:23 So he went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.
      19:24 And
he also stripped off his clothesand prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, "Is Saul also among the prophets?"

Consequently, he was naked and full of hatred, even hatred without any cause.

      1 Samuel 18:8-9

18:8 Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, "They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?"
      18:9 So
Saul eyed Davidfrom that day forward.

Moreover, there was hatred in the marriage or household.

      1 Samuel 20:30

20:30 Then Saul’s anger was aroused against Jonathan, and he said to him, "You son of a perverse, rebellious woman! Do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?

The hatred will increase continually to reach the servants of God to be the same as the antichrist. It may happen through slandering and vilifying others.

      1 Samuel 22:18-19

22:18 And the king said to Doeg, "You turn and kill the priests!" So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty–five men who wore a linen ephod.
      22:19 Also Nob,
the city of the priests, he struck with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and nursing infants, oxen and donkeys and sheep––with the edge of the sword.

Finally, Saul lost his kingdom, the office as king, and ministry, so he could neither return to paradise nor enter heavenly kingdom.

  3. The last age or the one of Holy Spirit God that is counted from Jesus’ first coming to the second one for approximately two thousand years. The representative is Peter.
Peter was a great servant of God because he could walk on water.

    John 21:3, 7
21:3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for
he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.

Nevertheless, he was disobedient. Consequently, he was naked and in total failure. He could not do anything. He was nothing.
The disobedience is the same as a branch that does not dwell in the True Vine anymore. It cannot produce fruit. The spirituality is dry and it will only be burnt forever.

    Matthew 7:21-23

7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
7:22 "Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
7:23 "And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Serving and ministering to God without the obedience to the true teaching Word, one is the same as the people who practice lawlessness that will be driven out to perish forever.

The Lord does not want that human He has created must perish. He helps us through these ways.

  1. Jesus must be obedient to the point of death of the cross to receive the name which is above every name and defeat the trinity of Satan.
    Philippians 2:8-10
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

  2. The Lord gives the Shepherding Word in the shepherding pen, namely the perseverance in doing three main services to God.
    John 21:17
21:17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.

The Shepherding Word is trusted by God to a pastor that he may deliver to the congregation faithfully, regularly, and repetitively. The repetitive Word sanctifies our body, soul, and spirit so that we do not hear strange voice. It is preached repetitively to give us opportunity to obey it.

    John 21:18-19
21:18 "Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
21:19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."

The obedience is the same as lifting up our two hands to God and He stretches out His hand to us.

    1 Peter 5:5-6

5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that
He may exalt you in due time,

The Lord is able to exalt us in due time. It means as follows.

    1. The Lord is able to use our life as the vessel of glory that lives by God’s mercy. He preserves us miraculously. His mercy is able to solve all problems. The impossible can be made possible.

    2. The Lord is able to exalt us  from failure to success and beauty in its time [Ecclesiastes 3:11].
    3. We are sanctified and changed little by little until we are as perfect as Jesus is when He comes a second time.

God blesses you.
