Bible Study Service in Malang, December 23, 2010 (Thursday Evening)
Matthew
25:31-34, 41 25:31.
"When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels
with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 25:32 "All
the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them
one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the
goats. 25:33 "And He will set the sheep on His right hand,
but the goats on the left. 25:34 "Then the King will say to
those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit
the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 25:41
"Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart
from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil
and his angels:
Verse
31-32 shows that Jesus will appear as King of kings and Great
Shepherd at the time of His second coming to divide sheep from the
goats.
We are responsible to our own selves, whether we become
sheep or goats, we cannot rely on other people. Therefore, we have to
have firm standing.
The sheep can enter into Heavenly Kingdom
provided for them but the goats will enter into everlasting fire of
hell.
The
base of separation between the sheep and the goats is heavenly
wisdom.
Ecclesiastes
10:2 10:2
A wise man's heart is at his right hand, But a fool's heart at
his left.
The
sheep are at the right hand of God because of having heavenly wisdom,
so they can enter into hevenly kingdom. The goats are at the left
hand of God because of not having heavenly wisdom, or being
spiritually foolish, so they enter into the hell.
The
facts found in the foolish goats are as follows:
Ecclesiastes
7:17 7:17
Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish: Why should you die before
your time?
The
foolish goats are wicked ones, namely
those who commit
deeds which are not in line to the truth of God's Word. Keeping
on committing things which have been known not in line to the Word of
God is a foolishness, and wickedness.
- Doing
fleshly deeds,
namely the deeds encouraged by the lust and emotion of flesh, which
are contrary to the truth of God's Word.
Galatians
5:19-21 5:19
Now the works of
the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication,
uncleanness, lewdness, 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred,
contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions,
dissensions, heresies, 5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness,
revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I
also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will
not inherit the kingdom of God.
Such
life will not inherit the eternal heavenly kingdom, but entering
into the eternal fire as the foolish goats.
We indeed the
men of blood and flesh who are weak,
but it
cannot become the reason
of committing fleshly deeds. The
Lord gives us solution as follows;
Romans
8:11-13 8:11
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in
you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your
mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. 8:12
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors--not to the flesh, to live
according to the flesh. 8:13 For if you live according to the
flesh you will die; but if by
the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will
live.
He
gives us Holy Spirit to put to death the fleshly deeds, so we can
live according to the truth of God's Word, that is to say life in
righteousness and holiness as Jesus is righteous and holy
until we can enter into the eternal heavenly kingdom to
receive eternal life.
Do
not argue about things that are not in line to the Word! Let us hope
that Holy Spirit kills our fleshly deeds.
The
eternal life begins with righteous and holy life until we become
perfect. The
ones who live in righteousness, holiness, up to the perfection, will
enter into the eternal heavenly kingdom to receive eternal life.
If
Holy Spirit is able to give us eternal life, He is able also to give
us our physical life, and beautiful future life. Jesus has been dead
and risen in glorious body that is beautiful.
- Committing
dead works,
namely deeds which have
no relationship with service and ministry, even hindering us to
serve and minster.
Hebrews
9:14 9:14
how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse
your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
We
have to be sanctified from the dead works to serve God.
I
Corinthians 15:58 15:58.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord,
knowing that your labor is
not in vain
in
the Lord.
The
service and ministry is the only one thing which is not vain from
now in the world until we are in heaven.
We
have a mistake that we study and work diligently - it is good and
we have to do it - but we often let ourselves and other people
such as our children, our wife, or our husband, unfaithful in
committing service and ministry to the Lord.
We
have to become more
diligent
in committing service and ministry.
Revelation
22:3-4 22:3
And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the
Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 22:4 They
shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.
The
only one activity we do in the throne of God is committing service
and ministry to the Lord. Committing service and ministry to the
Lord in this world is an exercise or adaptation for us to live in
the throne of God someday.
We often want to be in a place for
a long time in this world because we have paid the entrance fee, et
cetera but we do not want to be in the church for a long time
although we do not need to pay anything.
All
activities in the world which
are supposed to be positive, successful, active, or great,
but have no relationship with the service to the Lord even hinder us
to commit the service will be
vain
and
reach only the tomb to be perished together with the world.
Let
us check ourselves
whether we are sad when we cannot work more than when we cannot
serve the Lord. Furthermore, do we laugh when we cannot serve the
Lord?
In Exodus, the
vain works are as oppression.
It is the deceitful Satan who forces men work in oppression.
Exodus
1:11 1:11
Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their
burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and
Raamses.
Men,
including the sons of God, are slaved with oppression done by Satan
through vain works hindering them to commit service and ministry to
the Lord.
God's Word in Exodus prophesies about the
condition of the world in the last days which will make the sons of
God difficult to serve and minister God. We can see in these present
days, comparing with the previous ones.
Working
with oppression is vain (not
resulting anything), even resulting in suffering,
and leading
to Babel
which will be perished forever. In
oppression, the work may seem to be great but it is as saving in a
bag which has many holes, referring to vain work.
Hebrews
10:25-27 10:25
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner
of some, but exhorting
one another,
and so
much the more as you see the Day approaching. 10:26
For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the
truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 10:27 but a
certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which
will devour the adversaries.
The
highest level of advice (more
than the advice to study and work well, et cetera)
is the one to make us zealous in committing service and ministry to
the Lord.
A
sin which men,
even the servants and the sons of God, often
do not realize,
drawing near the time of Jesus' second coming, is
the sin of forsaking service and ministry to the Lord.
It
is rare that an evangelist still commits the service when he has no
duty in ministry.
The
stages of the sin of not committing service to the Lord are as
follows:
- Habitual
sin.
=Not
regretting, not being sad, not feeling guilty anymore
at the time of not committing service to the Lord, even enjoying
it.
On the other hand, one may
seem to be faithful in committing service and ministry to the Lord
but he feels nothing in it, even he is sleepy and bored of it so
there
is no life renewal.
Such
life never changes but keeps what is false, even does not regret
but enjoying the unrighteousness. For example, one keeps on lying,
or arguing something that is known as unrighteous matter, et
cetera.
If we are unclean but we commit the service and
ministry to the Lord earnestly, we will have a chance to be
renewed.
- Intentional
sin.
=
Not committing service and ministry to the Lord willfully.
Here
is the consequence: The
life who does not commit the service and ministry habitually or
intentionally will be judged in fire and brimstone or everlasting
fire as the goats at the right hand of God which are foolish and
wicked.
Matthew
25:41 25:41
"Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart
from Me, you cursed, into the
everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Actually
we do not need to enter into everlasting fire because it is prepared
for the devil and his angels.
The
way out God gives is as follows: Hebrews
9:14 9:14
how much more shall the
blood of Christ,
who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God,
cleanse
your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
The
power of Jesus' blood
can make us faithful and earnest in committing service and ministry
to God, not the power of money or other things.
In
Old Testament we can see that there was the blood of lamb on the
door of the Israelites' houses so they could be delivered from the
death of the firstborn, go out of Egypt, and serve the Lord.
God fought for Israelites so they could serve Him.
In
New Testament we can see the blood of Jesus on the door of our heart
so we can serve and minister Him.
I
Peter 2:9-10 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who
called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 2:10 who
once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not
obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Actually,
only the Israelites and their offsprings may serve the Lord, and the
Gentiles are only as common animals none may offer to the
Lord.
Thus, the Gentiles should not become priests and kings
but the
grace of God through Jesus' blood
enables them to serve and minister God.
It
is not our greatness if we can serve and minister God now, it is
only because of God's grace and mercy. Do not play the grace of
God, and do not be careless in serving and ministering God!
The
proof of serving and ministering God in His grace is as follows:
I
Corinthians 15:9-10 15:9
For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called
an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 15:10 But by
the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in
vain; but I
labored more abundantly
than they all, yet
not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
We
will serve
and minister God more zealously even we fight for it more than all
things in the world
if we really appreciate His grace.
The
result is as follows: I
Timothy 4:8 4:8
For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable
for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that
which is to come.
The
service is not about someday in Heaven but about this present
time.
There is double
life guarantee for sure, namely for our present life and eternal
life.
- Committing
the works of darkness,
namely the peak of sin in these last days, drawing near Jesus'
second coming.
Romans
13:12-14 13:12
The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let
us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of
light. 13:13
Let us walk properly, as in the day, not
in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife
and envy.
13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision
for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
The
world in these last days will return to the days of Noah and Lot,
like in Sodom and Gomorrah, that is to say in the peak of sin as
follows:
- The
sins concerning eating drinking
such as smoking, being drunk, and consuming narcotics.
- The
sins of marrying and giving in marriage
such as free sex without any righteous and legal matrimonial
ceremony, sexual affairs, mix-marriage, getting married after being
divorced, marrying and giving in marriage, homosexuality, and
lesbianism.
- The
sin of envy and strife.
All of envy and strife must be finished soon!
We have to
confess and forgive sin one another if the strife happens because
of sin. We have to return to holy bible with honesty to each
other if the strife happens because of teaching. God lets the
strife happen when each party keeps their own opinion in order to
prove which party is endurable in the true Teaching.
Be
alert with the sin of envy because of God's blessings! A
pastor may envy the congregation or vice versa. For example, the
brothers of Joseph envied Joseph because of his dream, referring to
the gift of the revelation of God's Word.
The strife and
envy are included in the peak of sin. We have to be careful of
this!
The
solution God gives us is as follows: To
counter the darkness, we have to
put on the Lord Jesus Christ as the armor of light.
The
Lord = Father God = the light of sun or God's love. Jesus =
the Son of God = the light of moon. Christ = Holy Spirit God =
the light of star.
Where
can we get the light of the sun, moon, and star?
We
have to
persevere always in the sheepfold or Holy Place,
referring to perseverance in committing three main services to the
Lord. We have to be shepherded in the true teaching Word.
- Golden
Candlestick
(http://www.gptkk.org/tabernacle_golden+candlestick.html)
=
perseverance in committing General Service
= fellowship with Holy
Spirit God
in His anointing = we receive the
light of star.
- Table
of Showbread
(http://www.gptkk.org/tabernacle_table+of+showbread.html)
= perseverance
in committing Bible Study Service and Holy Communion
= fellowship with the
Son of God
in the true teaching Word and His sacrifice = we receive the
light of moon.
- Golden
Altar of Incense
(http://www.gptkk.org/tabernacle_the+golden+altar+of+incense.html)
= perseverance
in committing Prayer Service
= fellowship with Father
God
in His love = we receive the
light of sun.
We
are shined continually through shepherding system. The more we
persevere, the more we have the light in our life. The
world is getting darker but we have to have more light
until we are shown as the perfect Bride of God.
Bring all
members of your family to be shepherded. We have to persevere
and have light much more so we will not be defeated by the world
which is getting darker. Our perseverance is indeed
tested.
Revelation
12:1 12:1.
Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun,
with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve
stars.
The
peak of shepherding is
when we are shown as
the light of the world,
namely the
perfect spotless Bride
without any darkness.
Facing the world in these last days as
Sodom and Gomorrah, there is no choice except entering into the
sheepfold. Let it begin in ourselves!
The
result will be real as follows: Psalm
61:4 61:4
I will abide
in Your tabernacle
forever; I will trust in the
shelter of Your wings.
Persevering
in the shepherding, we
have the shadow of God's wings.
Nothing to lose! Why do we have to have the shadow of God's
wings? It is because antichrist counters us with the wings of
abomination.
The
three kinds of the shadow of God's wings are as follows:
- Psalm
17:7-8
17:7
Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who
save those who trust in You From those who rise up against
them. 17:8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide
me under the shadow of Your wings,
We
are
hiden
in the shadow of God's wings
to face the world which has become like the desert as follows:
- Being
difficult to sow and reap because of the dryness.
- There
are many beasts.
We
are in the shadow of God's wings as follows:
- We
are
preserved and protected from all disasters,
theft, robberring, natural disasters, et cetera.
- We
are
preserved in the middle of difficulties or impossibilities
miraculously
by the mercy and goodness of God.
- Deuteronomy
32:11-12
32:11
As an eagle stirs up its nest, Hovers over its young, Spreading
out its wings, taking them up, Carrying
them on its wings, 32:12
So the LORD alone led him, And there
was no foreign god
with
him.
We
are
carried
on the wings of a great eagle
to face all tests, temptations, and sufferings without any sin,
and to pass through the storm and wave in the middle of the sea of
the world.
We are as young eagle dwelling on the high
mountain. There is a time to have food from the mother but
sometime the mother intentionally stirs up the nest to make the
young fly. If the young still cannot fly, the mother will carry on
the wings until someday the young can really fly by its own
wings.
Why
does God let the shakings come?
- To
make our faith tested as pure gold,
until someday we can walk on New Jeruslem, whose way is made of
gold.
Suppossing all things are good, all men can walk, even
they who are not in Jesus.
In the time of success we can
say "Jesus is great". How will it be when we are in
failure? The Lord permits the test to come to us, meaning we are
not truly in failure. Can we still say that Jesus is great and
believe in Him or are we doubtful?
The
greatest shaking that can destroy and perish our spiritual life
is doubt.
- To
make us grow spiritually (our
wings grows bigger).
- To
make us believe and surrender ourselves fully in the Lord (there
is no strange god).
I
hope we can be strong until Jesus comes a second time and we can
enter into New Jerusalem. Whatever shaking happens now, just
choose the Lord! Shadrach, Meshach, dan Abed-Nego kept on
believing in God and chosing Him no matter if they had the help
or not.
- Revelation
12:14
12:14
But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might
fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nour wings
meanished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence
of the serpent.
We
receive two
wings of a great eagle:
- To
flee us far away from antichrist,
we are flown to the wilderness, being far away from the presence
of the serpent.
- To
face Jesus' second coming,
we are lifted up to glorious clouds.
Be
alert! There are many wings which are weak drawing near the time
of Jesus' second coming, especially the youth, referring to the
bodily youth and those who have strength. Weak wings mean one
has fallen into sins and problems, doubt, and weariness.
The
Lord gives us solution to strengthen our wings, namely through
consuming Holy Communion. The Holy Communion or Christ's
sacrifice is as the carcass which are the food of the eagle. It is
able to give us new strength.
The
proof of receiving the new strength, or our wings become strong
again is as follows:
- Our
heart is peaceful and quiet.
- Our
hand is strong to return to minister the Lord, and be lifted up
to worship God.
Isaiah
40:29-31 40:29
He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He
increases strength. 40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be
weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 40:31 But those
who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount
up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They
shall walk and not faint.
God blesses you.
