Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:7-17 is about the seven warnings and rebukes or advice to the church on the last days to be as perfect as Jesus is.

  1. Verse 7 is the warning that is related to the joy.

  2. Verse 8-9 is the warning that is related to the honor and worship.

  3. Verse 10 is the warning that is related to not sealing the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand

Revelation 22:10
22:10. And he said to me, "Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

The time is at hand means as follows:

  1. Jesus' second coming is at hand.

  2. God's punishment over the world is at hand.

Genesis 6:5-8
6:5. Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6:6. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and
He was grieved in His heart.
6:7. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."
6:8. But
Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

In the beginning of the age, God punished the world with the floodwaters because every intent of the thoughts of man's heart was only evil continually, so he did the thing that made the heart of God grieved.

Noah had a good conscience. The results is as follows:

  1. He could receive the revelation of the Word and obeyed it.

  2. He received God's mercy.
His marriage was also in God's mercy, so he and his family were saved.

2 Peter 3:10
3:10. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

On the last days, the world will be punished with the fervent heat from heavens until both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up and destroyed in the hell.
.
That is why we must fight to have a good conscience.
The shepherd must have a good conscience, so he can receive the revelation of the Word.
The congregation must have a good conscience, so they can hear and obey the Word.

The revelation of the Word may not be sealed on the last days. Why?

Colossians 2:1-3
2:1. For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,
2:2. that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,
2:3. in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

If the secret of Word is not revealed, the congregation will be the same as the church of the Laodiceans, namely being in the spiritual lukewarmness.

Revelation 3:14-15
3:14. "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God:
3:15. "I know your works, that you are
neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.

The spiritual lukewarmness means being neither cold nor hot; being neither dead nor raised

Exodus 32:15-18
32:15. And Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablets of the Testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.
32:16. Now the tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God engraved on the tablets.
32:17. And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, "There is a noise of war in the camp."
32:18. But he said: "
It is not the noise of the shout of victory, Nor the noise of the cry of defeat, But the sound of singingI hear."

It is the same as the Israelites who were not victorious nor defeated.

Revelation 3:17
3:17. "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' --and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--

The cause of the spiritual lukewarmnessis as follows:

  1. Prioritizing the physical thing more than the spiritual one. It means hardening the heart.

  2. Worshiping the golden calf. It means hardening the heart.

Exodus 32:19,9
32:19. So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and the dancing. So Moses' anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.
32:9. And the LORD said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!

If the congregation harden their heart, they will not be able to receive the true teaching Word. The secret of the Word is sealed, so they experience the spiritual lukewarmness.

The facts of the spiritual lukewarmnessare as follows:

  1. Being neither cold nor hot.
Being not cold means not having peace but just envy, revenge, and hatred without a cause.
Being not hot means not ministering faithfully and fervently.

  2. Not being victorious nor defeated but the sound of singing. It refers to the happiness of the flesh.
It means ministering God, but without holiness and the true teaching Word. The important thing is that it looks great. Someday the songs shall be wailing.

    Amos 8:3

8:3. And the songs of the temple Shall be wailing in that day," Says the Lord GOD--"Many dead bodies everywhere, They shall be thrown out in silence."

  3. Being neither cold nor hot and not victorious nor defeated are the same as being neither dead nor raised. It means that one does not experience the renewal of life but keeps the sinful flesh and blood man.

    Ephesians 4:21-25
4:21. if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus:
4:22. that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
4:23. and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
4:24. and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

The renewal of life starts from there is no more lie.The meanings of the liar are as follows:

    • The word and deed are not true.
      1 John 2:4
2:4. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

A liar is not the member of the body of Christ. He has no relationship with righteousness.

    • Denying Jesus by word and deed.
      1 John 2:22
2:22. Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.

    • Titus 1:15-16
1:15. To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.
1:16. They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him,being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

He is disqualified for every good work. He cannot minister to God. He becomes unfaithful until he deliberately does not serve and minister to God.
It means becoming the same as the Antichrist who does not want to minister to God. There is no relationship with Holy Spirit.

    • Hating others. It means having no relationship with God's love.

      1 John 4:20
4:20. If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

He cannot walk with God, so he is dry spiritually. He is not fervent in the spiritual thing, so he does not experience satisfaction.

      Exodus 32:5-6
32:5. So when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, "Tomorrow is a feast to the LORD."
32:6. Then they rose early on the next day, offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

He dies spiritually. His ministry is just for the physical things, namely the fleshly prosperity and entertainment. He just commits sins up to the peak.
The example is Hophni and Phinehas.

    Proverbs 3:32
3:32. For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, But His secret counsel is with the upright.

    Psalm 25:14
25:14. The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.

The upright can receive the revelation of the Word, Holy Spirit, and God's love.

Being honest must be about God and in confessing the sin.

    John 4:9,15-18
4:9. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
4:15. The woman said to Him, "Sir, give me this water, that I may not
thirst, nor come here to draw."
4:16. Jesus said to her, "Go, call your husband, and come here."
4:17. The woman answered and said, "I have no husband." Jesus said to her, "You have well said, 'I have no husband,'
4:18. "for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly."

The Gentiles were separated from Jesus because of keeping bitterness--envy, hatred, and revenge--, and uncleanness--sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
Consequently, the Gentiles are always thirsty. They are not satisfied but suffering.

That is why we must confess our sin to God and others. Do not sin anymore after being forgiven!
As a result, we can walk with God and others.

    John 19:28-30
19:28. After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!"
19:29. Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with
sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
19:30. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

    John 4:7
4:7. A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink."

Confessing the sin is the same as giving Jesus a drink of sour wine mingled with gall on the cross.

    John 4:10
4:10. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water."

Jesus bears our sin on the cross, and He gives us the living water of Holy Spirit.

    Isaiah 44:3-4
    44:3. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spiriton your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;
44:4. They will spring up among the grass Like willows by the watercourses.'

As a result, Holy Spirit flows to those who are dry spiritually, unfaithful, and dissatisfied. Being unfaithful, one will be used by Babylon.

    Psalm 137:1-3
137:1. By the rivers of Babylon, There we sat down, yea, we wept When we remembered Zion.
137:2. We hung our harps Upon the willows in the midst of it.
137:3. For there those who carried us away captive asked of us a song, And those who plundered us requested mirth, Saying, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!"

Holy Spirit helps us to keep living in holiness, faithfulness, and fervency until the finish line.

    Acts 2:1-4
2:1. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
2:3. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of
fire, and one sat upon each of them.
2:4. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Holy Spirit is like the fire that changes us from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones.

For example, Peter who denied Jesus can become the witness of God; Thomas who did not believe in God can believe in Him; Mary Magdalene who was unclean can become holy.

    Exodus 14:14-15, 21
14:14. "The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."
14:15. And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
14:21. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a
strong east windall that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.

Holy Spirit is like the east wind to divide the Red Sea. It means that all of impossible problems are finished. God gives us the beautiful and successful future. We are used in the revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain.

God blesses us.
