Bible Study Service in Malang, March 10, 2011 (Thursday Evening)
Matthew 26:1-5 26:1.
Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, that
He said to His disciples, 26:2 "You know that after two
days is the Passover, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be
crucified." 26:3 Then the chief priests, the scribes, and
the elders of the people assembled at the palace of the high priest,
who was called Caiaphas, 26:4 and plotted to take Jesus by
trickery and kill Him. 26:5 But
they said, "Not during the feast, lest there be an uproar among
the people."
The
whole
Matthew 26
refers to golden pot that had manna, namely perfect
life as glorious as Jesus is. How
great a human is in the world, s/he is only as fragile mortar pot
that is easily destroyed forever. Therefore, the mortar pot has to be
filled with the true teaching Word and Holy Communion (Passover) to
be changed to become golden pot.
Matthew
26:1-5 refers to Passover news.
Our
focus is verse 5 tonight.
Jesus was not killed in the Passover
feast, meaning the power
of the blood of Passover lamb is able to deliver us from
death.
Exodus
12:21-23 12:21.
Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them,
"Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your
families, and kill the Passover lamb. 12:22 "And you shall
take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and
strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the
basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until
morning. 12:23 "For the LORD will pass through to strike
the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the
two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the
destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.
In
Old Testament, the
blood of Passover lamb was stricken on the lintel and on the two
doorposts (three places) of the doors of Israelites' houses, so
they were delivered from death of first son.
In
New Testament,
Jesus' blood is stricken on our body, soul, and spirit (three
places), so we are delivered from sins binding our body, soul, and
spirit, or our whole life. We
are delivered from sins equals with we are delivered from death.
I
Corinthians 5:7-8, 11 5:7.
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since
you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was
sacrificed for us. 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with
old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with
the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. 5:11 But now I have
written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who
is sexually
immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or
an extortioner--not
even to eat with such a person.
The
blood of Jesus (Passover Lamb of God) is able to set us free from six
sins binding our body, soul, and spirit or six sins that have been
our blood and flesh and cause perdition or death. The
figure "6" refers to the flesh.
The
six sins can be divided into three groups as follows:
-
Sins conquering the
body, namely drunkard and sexually immoral.
Drunkard
means sins concerning eating-drinking, smoking, being drunk,
gambling, and consuming narcotics. Sexually immoral means sins
concerning marrying-giving in marriage or sexual sins with all its
kinds, and false marriage.
-
Sins conquering the
soul or becoming characters such as covetous, reviler,
extortioner.
Covetous
= disability to give. Reviler = saying right for the false and
false for the right, et cetera. Extortioner = living in lies, and
hatred or murdering. Be alert! The sin of lie and hatred binds
people who have great position.
Matthew
26:3-4 26:3
Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people
assembled at the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
26:4 and plotted to take Jesus by trickery
and kill
Him.
Proverbs
26:24-26 26:24.
He
who hates,
disguises it with his lips, And lays up deceit
within himself; 26:25 When he speaks kindly, do not believe
him, For there are seven abominations in his heart; 26:26
Though his hatred is covered by deceit, His
wickedness will be revealed
before the assembly.
Beginning
in marriage, shepherding, et cetera, all evils will be revealed if
there is hatred and lie, although the evils were covered with
smiling or greeting.
For example, Judas lived in lies and
hatred, until his evils were revealed, his entrails were gushed out
and he perished forever because there was no forgiveness
anymore. Judas became as destroyed mortar vessel.
-
Sin binding the spirit
is idolatry.
Idol
means all things hindering us to love God or to obey Him.
It
is better we do not study or work or get married than we perish if
the study or work or marriage makes us not love God anymore.
Let
us be serious!
If the spirit of human is bound by idol, it
can neither return to God nor to heaven but be perished in
hell.
Human
has spirit coming from God so the spirit always wants to return to
Him through the Word, service and ministry, and worship to
Him. Having
good spirit or good conscience, a man must be joyful in hearing the
Word, in committing service and ministry, and in worshiping
God.
Animal does not have spirit so it needs not hear the
Word. In shorts, if a man does neither want nor like to hear the
Word nor serve and minister faithfully nor want to worship God, s/he
will become as animal or carnal man who is about blood and flesh
only. They will be perished forever as total destroyed vessel.
Do
not support such person otherwise you will regret! Advise our
neighbors!
Let
the power of the blood of Passover lamb or Jesus' blood delivers us
from the six sins binding our body, soul, and spirit.
If we
are delivered from the six sins binding our body, soul, and spirit,
we are also delivered from the death, and we
can live in sincerity and truth to have heavenly joy or feast
nothing may influence.
I
Corinthians 5:7-8 5:7.
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since
you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was
sacrificed for us. 5:8 Therefore let
us keep the feast,
not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness,
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity
and truth.
Not
having sincerity and truth means being dead. It is as Pharaoh and
Egyptians that they died although they were great and rich because of
being without sincerity and truth. On the contrary, Israelites
were slaves but having the blood of Passover lamb so they had feast
and were delivered from death.
The blood of Passover lamb was
stricken on the lintel and on the two doorposts of the house of
Israelites, meaning being stricken on our
body, soul, and spirit.
The
door of the house
also refers to the
door of human's heart
which is the source or the warehouse of sins, and full of wicked
lusts and unclean lusts causing perdition forever as total destroyed
mortar vessel.
The
door of our heart must be stricken with the blood of Jesus so we can
be sanctified from all wicked lusts and unclean lusts.
Mark
7:21-23 7:21"For
from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts,
adulteries, fornications, murders, 7:22 "thefts,
covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy,
pride, foolishness. 7:23 "All these evil things come from
within and defile a man."
How
great a man is in the world, the heart is the source of wicked lust
and unclean lust or the storage of sins, and it has to be stricken
with Jesus' blood.
Only
Jesus' blood
is able to sanctify our heart from wicked lusts and unclean
lusts!
The
blood points to the sacrifice or love of God. If
our heart is sanctified by Jesus' blood from all wicked lusts and
unclean lusts, it will be filled with God's LOVE, which is the
perfect love.
I
John 4:17-18 4:17.
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness
in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear,
because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made
perfect in love.
The
perfect love casts out fear. The
perfect love of God is as the shining sun which removes all darkness
(the source of fear) as follows:
-
Doubt about Jesus, the
true teaching Word.
-
Anxiety.
-
Fear.
The
doubt, anxiety, and fear cause the death.
Luke
21:25-26 21:25
"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the
stars; and on the earth distress
of nations, with perplexity, the
sea and the waves roaring; 21:26 "men's
hearts failing them from fear
and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth,
for the powers of heaven will be shaken.
The
fear will become a killer in the last days, so man dies bodily and
spiritually that the spirituality becomes withered until s/he dies
forever with the second death in hell.
Fear means being empty
of God's love.
I
John 4:17 4:17.
Love
has been perfected among us
in this: that we
may have boldness
in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
If
the love of God has shined or removed all doubt, anxiety, and fear,
we will be
able to
trust and entrust ourselves fully to God.
There
are three kinds of confidence or boldness as follows:
-
I John 4:17
4:17.
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness
in the day of judgment;
because as He is, so are we in this world.
Boldness
in the day of judgment.
Revelation
20:11-15 20:11.
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no
place for them. 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great,
standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was
opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged
according to their works, by the things which were written in the
books. 20:13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death
and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were
judged, each one according to his works. 20:14 Then Death and
Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast
into the lake of fire.
There
will be a white throne someday. It is a place to judge all people,
including the sons of God, priests, et cetera, who have not finished
the sins yet but kept them in their lifetime.
The
sin makes human fear because it gives judgment. One
who keeps
the sin,
including supports
other people who do the sin,
must live in fear. Beginning in the world up to the white throne to
be judged someday.
For example, Adam and Eve in Garden Eden
were joyful with the paradise but they became afraid and shameful
because of sinning. One will live in fear if s/he sins, although
being blessed or having paradise ambience.
The
sin which is kept makes our name not be written in the Book of
Life.
Do
not support other people who sin! Let us advise each other!
The
perfect love covers sins, even all our sins, until we can be
blameless. It is as the sun shining to remove all darkness.
Let
us finish our sins now in the last days drawing near Jesus' second
coming. The
process is as follows:
-
Confessing sins to God
and men, so Jesus' blood or God's love forgives and covers our
sins. Afterward, do not do the sins again!
-
Forgiving the sins of
other people and forgetting them.
If the sins are
finished or reconciled, we will be joyful, quiet, and peaceful,
although we live in the middle of curses in the world. It will be
much more joy, quietness, and peace when we are being
blessed.
Quietness
or peace is the proof of our name's being written in the Book of
Life.
Finishing
the sins, there is no fear in facing all things, including the
judgment day, because the name has been written in the Book of Life
and s/he will enter the heavenly kingdom for sure.
-
I John 3:21-22
3:21
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence
toward God.
3:22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep
His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
Confidence
toward God or toward the throne of His grace.
Hebrews
4:14-16 4:14
Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through
the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize
with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet
without sin. 4:16 Let us therefore come
boldly to the throne of grace,
that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of
need.
The
result will be real as follows:
-
High Priest answers all
our prayers and gives us our daily need up to our future life.
-
High Priest gives us
extra strength and takes up or absorbs all our weaknesses so we are
not disappointed or desperate in facing anything.
We always keep
giving thanks to Him.
-
High Priest will help us
from all problems IN HIS TIME.
It is a test of patience and
perseverance when God has not helped us yet. He must help us IN
HIS TIME and He never fools us.
-
High Priest makes all
things beautiful in His time.
-
I John 2:28
2:28.
And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may
have confidence
and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
Confidence
before Him at His second coming (the throne of New
Jerusalem).
Zephaniah
3:17-18 3:17
The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will
rejoice over you with gladness, He
will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing." 3:18 "I will
gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, Who are among
you, To
whom its reproach is a burden.
The
love of God changes our life from carnal man to perfect blameless
spiritual man as Jesus is. We are changed from mortar pot to golden
pot that had the manna or the bride of God.
We
are changed little by little from the sin of lie and hatred. Keeping
lie and hatred, one cannot be renewed to reach perfection.
On
the contrary, throwing away the lie and hatred, including
bitterness, envy, revenge, and slander, one must become perfect as
Jesus is someday.
Formerly, Israelites were in joy with the
sign of blood so there was no death of the first son whereas
Egyptians were in great cry.
Someday, we will be together in
joy to welcome Jesus' second coming.
Revelation
19:6-7, 9 19:6
And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the
sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying,
"Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! 19:7 "Let
us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the
Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." 19:9
Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called
to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"And he said to me,
"These are the true sayings of God."
Let
us cry "Alleluia" or worship God much more so we do not
make many mistakes in our saying.
We are changed little by
little until we are changed to be perfect as Jesus is at the time of
His second coming. We can welcome His coming on glorious clouds and
enter into the kingdom of peace a thousand years, as it is written
in Revelation 20, and enter into New Jerusalem.
Exodus
11:6 11:6
'Then there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt,
such as was not like it before, nor shall be like it again.
Egypt
without the blood was in great cry because of the death of the first
son.
Revelation
19:17-18, 21 19:17
Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud
voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven,
"Come and gather together for the supper of the great God,
19:18 "that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of
captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and of those
who sit on them, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, both
small and great." 19:21 And the rest were killed with the
sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse.
And all the birds were filled with their flesh.
Keeping
the sins, there is no Jesus' blood and one will be in great cry up
to the hell forever.
God
blesses you.
