General Service in Malang, August 25, 2013 (Sunday Morning)
Peace
and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew
28:20b 28:20
... and
lo, I am with you always, even
to the end of the age." Amen.
The
accompaniment of God is to the end of the age. It means He is with us
from now in the middle of difficult world so our life will be easy
and light. Moreover, He is also with us during the days of antichrist
who will reign for three years and a half, so we will be evacuated to
the wilderness. He is also with us until we are lifted up to the
glorious clouds on His second coming. At last, we will sit together
with Him on the throne of Heaven forever.
The
accompaniment of God is our main need and cannot be replaced by
anything else in this world.
Revelation
3:21 3:21
To
him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also
overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
Who
may get the accompaniment of God starting from now on until to sit
together with Him on His throne? They are those who overcome together
with Jesus.
The
requirements to overcome together with Jesus are as follows.
- Being
called, chosen, and faithful.
- Being
anointed by the Holy Spirit.
- Being
obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore.
Philippians
2:8-10 2:8
And
being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became
obedient to the
point of
death, even the death of the cross. 2:9
Therefore
God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is
above every name, 2:10
that
at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and
of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
Jesus
is obedient to the point of death on the cross so He receives the
name that has power to beat Satan the trinity. He is glorified to
the highest place and sits on the throne of Heaven.
Thus,
the requirement to overcome together with Jesus is being obedient
until the flesh does not sound anymore.
ad.
3. Being obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore.
As
an example in the Holy Bible, Abraham was obedient until sacrificing
Isaac, his only son.
Genesis
6:5-6 6:5
Then
the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was
great in the earth, and that
every intent of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually. 6:6
And
the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was
grieved in His heart.
But
the fact is the heart of human tends to be wicked and unclean, so
there are deeds making God grieved. Such deeds must make parents and
pastor (spiritual parents) grieved also. This kind of life is against
the kingdom of Heaven. One who has wicked heart will receive the
consequence.
Genesis
6:7-8 6:7
So
the Lord said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the
face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of
the air, for I am sorry that I have made them." 6:8
But
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.
In
the past, wicked heart dragged the judgment from God, that is the
great flood that destroyed all human belongings. But Noah found grace
in the eyes of the Lord.
2
Peter 3:10 3:10
But
the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the
heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt
with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will
be burned up.
Now,
in the last day, a wicked heart will drag the judgment of God from
the heaven.
Where
can we get an obedient heart? 1
Peter 3:20-22 3:20
who
formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited
in the days of Noah, while the
ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were
saved through water. 3:21
There
is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of
the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward
God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 3:22
who
has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and
authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
We
can get it through the true water baptism. We must be careful because
there is false water baptism. The true water baptism is as the ark of
Noah. There must be other advanced ships, but only the ark of Noah
that can save the people.
Romans
6:4 6:4
Therefore
we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as
Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so
we also should walk in newness of life.
The
true water baptism is one who has died to sin must be buried in water
together with Jesus and come out of water to raise in new life that
has new conscience, that is an obedient conscience. If our water
baptism is true, there is hope to sit on the throne of God.
In
the past, eight people got the grace so they might enter the ark of
Noah and were saved from the great flood. It means as follows.
- Only
few people who want to enter the true water baptism, but they will
get a heart that obeys the true teaching Word. The result is being
saved from the judgment of God and receiving the blessing from God.
It is until we are lifted up (orbited) and sit on the throne of
Heaven.
- These
eight people consist of four couples. It refers to the marriage that
receives the grace of God so they can enter the ark of Noah. The
marriage has one true water baptism, one true shepherding, one true
teaching Word, and one true ministry, so they will not be separated
forever.
A good conscience will not criticize the true
teaching Word. A good conscience will only be obedient.
The
daily practices of an obedient heart are as follows.
- Our
whole life is purified so we can live in holiness and have sincere
love of brethren. We love the others as ourselves.
1
Peter 1:22 1:22
Since
you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit
in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a
pure heart,
It
is the same as the second tablet of the two tablets of stone. The
manifestation of having the second tablet of the two tablets of
stone is started from within the household.
Ephesians
5:22-24 5:22
Wives,
submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 5:23
For
the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the
church; and He is the Savior of the body. 5:24
Therefore,
just as the church is subject to Christ, so let
the wives be
to their own husbands in everything.
The
true love of a wife is being obedient to her husband in everything.
This kind of wife will make the household as sweet as honey.
Ephesians
5:25 5:25
Husbands,
love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave
Himself for her,
The
true love of a husband is loving his wife as himself and not being
bitter toward her. Thus, he will be as strong as the lion of the
tribe of Judah.
Marriage is as a riddle. If we can guess
according to the Word, we will live in this world as in the heaven.
When the riddle of Samson is answered, the cloth of glory will be
given, up to the perfect marriage.
Ephesians
6:1 6:1
Children,
obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
The
true love of children is being obedient to their parents in
everything.
1
John 3:11,17-18 3:11
For
this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we
should love one another, 3:17
But
whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and
shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in
him? 3:18
My
little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed
and in truth.
We
must also open the door of our heart to the others who are in need,
until we can feel that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
When we are allowed to see the others who are in need, let us
open the door of our heart. As a result, the door of Heaven will
also be opened. If we close the door of our heart and ignore the
others, it equals to closing the door of Heaven.
- Loving
God more than everything. It equals to the first tablet of the two
tablets of stone.
John
14:15 14:15
"If
you love Me, keep My commandments.
The
practice is being well shepherded, that is entering perseverance in
three main services as follows.
- Golden
Candlestick, that is perseverance in General Service.
- Table
of Showbread, that is perseverance in Bible Study Service and Holy
Communion.
- Golden
Altar of Incense, that is perseverance in Prayer Service.
In
the true shepherding, the pastor and sheep must be inside the pen.
The result is God's care and protection in the middle of this
difficult world as a wilderness. God also protects us from three
times of seven judgments. Until he protects us from the judgment in
the hell.
Being
obedient means our heart is filled with two tablets of stone. It is
our victory until we can sit together with Jesus in His throne. The
results of having two tablets of stone are as follows.
- Destroying
the gold calf.
Exodus
32:19-20 32:19
So
it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf and
the dancing. So Moses' anger became hot, and he cast the tablets
out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain. 32:20
Then
he took the calf which they had made, burned it
in the fire, and ground it
to powder; and he scattered it
on the water and made the children of Israel drink it.
The
gold calf means as follows.
- Being
stiff-necked or hardening the heart that must be destroyed by the
love of God. The practice is always arguing and opposing the Word.
It must be renewed so we are silent more. We do not doubt and
oppose the Word. We check ourselves and pray more to God.
- Corrupt
attitude, that is sins concerning eating-drinking and
marrying-being given in marriage. It also includes broken marriage
and mixed marriage. One also does false ministry that uses system
from this world.
Exodus
32:7 32:7
And
the Lord said to Moses, "Go, get down! For your people whom you
brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted
themselves.
Everything
must be corrected by the love of God, so we have righteous life,
marriage, and ministry.
- Being
spiritually lukewarm, not the noise of the shout of victory, nor
the noise of the cry of defeat.
Exodus
32:18 32:18
But
he said: "It
is
not the noise of the shout of victory,
Nor the noise of the cry
of defeat,
But
the sound of singing I hear."
The
two tablets of stone destroy the spiritual lukewarmness, so we are
always faithful and fervent in spirit in ministry.
- Facing
the teaching of Pharisees, that is the teaching that lets one who
has married in front of God marry the other one and be blessed in
front of God.
Matthew
22:34-39 22:34
But
when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they
gathered together. 22:35
Then
one of them, a lawyer, asked Him
a question,
testing Him, and saying, 22:36
"Teacher,
which is
the great commandment in the law?" 22:37
Jesus
said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 22:38
This
is the
first and great commandment. 22:39
And
the
second is
like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
Luke
10:25-29 10:25
And
behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, "Teacher,
what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" 10:26
He
said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of
it?" 10:27
So
he answered and said, " 'You shall love the Lord your God with
all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with
all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'" 10:28
And
He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will
live." 10:29
But
he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my
neighbor?"
The
two tablets of stone are to destroy self-truth, that is the truth
got by blaming the others.
Mark
12:28-34 12:28
Then
one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together,
perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is
the first commandment of all?" 12:29
Jesus
answered him, "The first of all the commandments is:
'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 12:30
And
you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your
soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is
the first commandment. 12:31
And
the second, like it,
is
this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no
other commandment greater than these." 12:32
So
the scribe said to Him, "Well said,
Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there
is no other but He. 12:33
And
to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all
the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as
oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and
sacrifices." 12:34
Now
when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, "You are
not far from the kingdom of God." But after that no one dared
question Him.
The
two tablets of stone are to face questions, problems, and tears. The
greatest question is when questioning the true teaching Word. It is
the time when tears drop more, and many problems are unsolved.
- Renewal
of the countenance.
Exodus
34:29 34:29
Now
it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two
tablets of the Testimony were
in Moses' hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses
did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with
Him.
Falling
countenance happens because of getting angry, envy, and hatred (as
Cain who was getting angry to Abel). It can be helped by the love of
God so one will have radiant countenance. Sad countenance caused
by marriage problem (as experienced by Hannah) can also be helped by
the love of God so one will have radiant countenance. Sad
countenance because of being discouraged and disappointed (as two
disciples on the road to Emmaus) can be radiated by the love of God
so one will have radiant countenance. Pale countenance because
of being afraid and worried, ashamed countenance, bad and unclean
countenance can be radiated by the sun of God's love so one will
have radiant countenance.
The woman who commits adultery is
luckily brought to Jesus so she receives the sunshine of God's
love. She is pale, afraid, shy, worrying, sad, but luckily she is
brought to Jesus. This woman is as hard as stone, but God wants to
write and illuminate her with His love.
When Lazarus dies
for four days, Martha has sad countenance and she forbids God to
open the tomb. Martha doubts the true teaching Word and the love of
God. Martha becomes hard stone and experiences rottenness. But when
the tomb is opened, the sunshine radiates everything and the rotten
things become good. No matter how rotten our life is, the sunshine
of God's love is able to make everything good.
God
blesses us.
