Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:7-17 is about the seven warnings, exhortations, or rebukes for the Church on the last days to be as perfect as Jesus is.

We still learn the first one, that is the warning about the joy.

Revelation 22:7
22:7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

Why does God warn about the joy?

  1. So that we do not look for the joy in the world because there is no true joy in the world, but only the pseudo one which is created and offered by Satan or the joy which is not in line to the Word. Such joy will only cause men to commit sins up to the peak, so they are not joyful, but suffering and perishing.

  2. Because the pseudo joy in the world is brought into the service and ministry in the church by the servants of money or men until the church becomes the same as the world that is passing away.

[Revelation 22:7] Therefore, God invites us to give the true joy that is related to committing the Word.

Revelation 19:9
19:9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."

The peak is in the joy of the marriage supper of the lamb, the joy in paradise, and the one in the New Jerusalem.

How can God give the true joy?

  1. God invites us through preaching the Bride Tidings that is the continuation of the Good News.
    Matthew25:6
25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'

  2. Through the marriage supper of the Lamb.
It refers to the meeting or spiritual marriage between Jesus, who comes a second time in the glory as the King or Heavenly Bridegroom, and the perfect congregation as the bride on the glorious clouds.

Therefore, we must keep our physical marriage so that it will not be destroyed by Satan. Keep the righteousness, holiness, and unity of the marriage!

We must also try hard to be able to meet Jesus on the glorious clouds. The requirements are as follows:

  1. We must get the sanctification.
    1 John3:2-3
3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3:3 And everyone who has this hope in Him
purifies himself, just as He is pure.

It is until we become as holy as Jesus is; even we are as perfect as He is. By what can we be sanctified?

    John15:3
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

We are sanctified by the words of Jesus or the revelation of the Word through a verse that explains other verses in the Bible. It is the true teaching Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword.

    What must be sanctified?

    • Leviathan that controls the many waters = the woman of Babylon controlling the Gentiles.
      Isaiah27:1
27:1 In that day the LORD with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.

      Psalm74:13-14
74:13 You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters.
74:14 You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

      Revelation17:1-5, 15
17:1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
17:2 "with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication."
17:3 So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
17:4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
17:5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF
HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
17:15 Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.

It is the same as the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
      A harlot is not faithful.
It is sanctified, so we can live in holiness and faithfulness.

    • The sin of pride or arrogance.
      1 Chronicles21:1-2, 7, 16, 27
21:1 Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.
21:2 So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people, "Go, number Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring the number of them to me that I may know it."
21:7 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel.
21:16 Then David lifted his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD standing between earth and heaven, having in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Jerusalem. So David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.
21:27 So the LORD commanded the angel, and he returned his sword to its sheath.

It means being proud of something in the world more than God.
One who easily becomes proud will easily get disappointed or hopeless.

It is sanctified until we can only give thanks in any circumstances.

    • The sin of lying.
      Acts5:1-5, 8-9
5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.
5:2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet.
5:3 But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to
lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
5:4 "While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
5:5 Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.
5:8 And Peter answered her, "Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?" She said, "Yes, for so much."
5:9 Then Peter said to her, "How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out."

It is sanctified until we can be honest.

The sin of stealing is also sanctified until we can feel more blessed to give than to receive.

      Titus 2:7
2:7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,

It starts from the honesty about the doctrine.

      Hebrews13:4
13:4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

We must also be honest in the marriage. Do not keep the adultery!

      Hebrews13:5-6
13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
13:6 So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

It continues to the honesty about money, namely returning tithes and offerings that belong to God. We give to the work of God and other people who are in need.

As a result, God becomes the Head who is responsible for our physical and spiritual life until being perfect.

      Revelation14:5
14:5 And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.

  2. We must persevere in the service and ministry to God.
    Romans8:25
8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

It is the same as the perseverance in the sheepfold or the three main service to God.

    Acts2:42
2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

    • The perseverance in committing the General Service to get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God.

    • The perseverance in committing the Bible Study Service with Holy Communion to get the fellowship with the Son of God.

    • The perseverance in committing the Prayer Service to get the fellowship with Father God.

As a result, our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God and Satan cannot deceive or make us fall. We only do the righteous, holy, and good deeds to become blessings for others.

    Hebrews 10:35-37
10:35 Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward.
10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
10:37 "For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry.

As a result, all things which we need have been included in the perseverance in the shepherding pen. The Great Shepherd will give all things we need abundantly.

    Matthew 25:21
25:21 "His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'

We feel the heavenly joy from now on the world until entering the marriage supper of the Lamb.

  3. We must be strong and of good courage.
    Psalm27:14
27:14 Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!

Being strong and of good courage is useful for the following things:

    • Facing sins up to the peak.
    • Facing the false teachings and worship.
      Joshua1:6-7, 9, 18
1:6 "Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
      1:7 "Only
be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
1:9 "Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."
1:18 "Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death. Only
be strong and of good courage."

      Matthew24:4-5, 11, 24
24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.
24:5 "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will
      deceive many.
24:11 "Then many false prophets will rise up and
      deceive many.
24:24 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to
deceive, if possible, even the elect.

Being strong and of good courage is said four times for facing the four times of deception to the four corners of the earth.

      Revelation19:1, 3-4, 6
19:1 After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!
      19:3 Again they said, "
Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!"
19:4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen!
      Alleluia!"
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "
Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

There are four times of the voice "Alleluia". In being strong and of good courage, we must firmly reject the false teachings and worship and keep the true teachings and worship.

    • Facing the impossible temptations, we only believe and hope God until He helps us.

    • Waiting for Jesus' second coming.

The results of being strong and of good courage are as follows:

    • Being used in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain for the edification of Christ's body.

    • We get the renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus is.
      2 Corinthians4:16-17
4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

It is the same as being adorned by God.

      1 Peter3:3-5
3:3 Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel--
3:4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a
gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
3:5 For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being
      submissive to their own husbands,

[verse 4] The renewal of the inward man, namely being gentle. It means being able to receive the hard teaching Word which points at the hidden sins and being able to forgive and forget the sin of other people. Being quiet means keeping silent or doing the introspection in our life by the sharpness of the sword of the Word and not commenting negatively about the work of the Lord, marriage, and so on.

[verse 5] The renewal of the outward man, namely submission or obedience.

      Romans12:18-21
12:18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
12:19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.
12:20 Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head."
      12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

We live in love, namely only doing good things until repaying good for evil.

      1 Peter3:10-12
3:10 For "He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit.
3:11 Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.
      3:12 For
the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil."

God will pay attention to the one who is adorned. His eyes are upon our life. He pays attention to, cares for, and struggles for making all things good. The destroyed things can be made good. The failure is changed into success and beauty. Impossible things can be made possible until reaching the perfection.

God blesses you.
