Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 27 is about the seven sprinklings of blood Jesus experiences until He dies on the cross to save, sanctify, and perfect us.
Matthew 27 consists of seven passages that denote seven sufferings Jesus experiences. We are learning the seventh passage, namely Pilate sets a guard.

The sprinkling of blood is flesh suffering for us to experience the last sanctification, until we are perfect as God is.

Matthew 27:62-66
27:62 On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate,
27:
63 saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’
27:
64 Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.”
27:
65 Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make itas secure as you know how.”
27:
66 So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.

There are two things done by the chief priests and Pharisees as follows.

  1. Sealing the tomb of Jesus and setting the guard from Pilate.
According to human’s logic, it is impossible that Jesus will rise and the disciples can see Him rising and stepping out of the tomb. But in fact, Jesus rises and steps out of the tomb. The sprinkling of blood is the last sanctification to purify our mind that often makes things impossible. As a result, we can believe that there is nothing impossible for God.

  2. Saying that Jesus is a deceiver.
It means turning the fact, blaming the true teaching, blaming a right person, and supporting the wrong one. The sprinkling of blood sanctifies us until we do not want to receive false teaching.

False teaching is as leaven. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. A little false teaching destroys our spirituality, ministry, up to the body of Christ, so God’s servants will be left on Jesus’ second coming.

We have learned about the leaven of Herod and the Pharisees. This morning, we are learning about the leaven of Sadducees.

Matthew 16:6-7,12
16:6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.”
16:
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It isbecause we have taken no bread.”
16:12 Then they understood that He did not tell
themto beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Matthew 22:23-24,26-30
22:23 The same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him,
22:
24 saying: “Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother.
22:
26 Likewise the second also, and the third, even to the seventh.
22:
27 Last of all the woman died also.
22:
28 Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.”
22:
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
22:
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven.

The teaching of Sadducees teaches that there is no resurrection of the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:32
15:32 If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is itto me? If thedead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”

The teaching of Sadducees triggers God’s servants in doing three things as follows.

  1. Being wild, living as wild beast.
It means walking around just to look for flesh matters. It is as Esau who walks around to look for flesh matters. He gets what he wants but losing the birthright.

  2. Not experiencing renewal of life, keeping living in flesh character and doing sins up to the peak of sins.
  3. The marriage is filled with flesh desire.
Therefore, we must be watchful from the beginning of marriage (the courtship). After being married, we also must be watchful so it will not be filled by flesh desire that causes divorce, etc.

Matthew 22:33
22:33 And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.

The true teaching Word leads us to holy and perfect life and marriage when Jesus comes a second time.

Wrong marriage is illustrated as seven men with one woman.
True marriage is illustrated as seven women take hold on one man.

Isaiah 4:1
4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying,
“We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel;
Only let us be called by your name,
To take away our reproach.”

Seven women who take hold of one woman denote seven churches of Gentiles who lean on Jesus and put hope only in Him.

The process of reaching holy and perfect life and marriage is as follows.

  1. [Isaiah 4:1] There is no reproach, meaning being sanctified by the teaching Word.
    Isaiah 54:4-5
    54:4 “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed;
Neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame;
For you will forget the shame of your youth, And will not remember the reproach of your widowhood anymore.
54:5 For your Maker isyour husband,
The Lord of hosts isHis name;
And your Redeemer isthe Holy One of Israel;
He is called the God of the whole earth.

There are two reproaches that must be sanctified.

    • The reproach of youth.
      Jeremiah 22:21
22:21 I spoke to you in your prosperity,
Butyou said, ‘I will not hear.’
This has beenyour manner from your youth,
That you did not obey My voice.

The reproach of youth is not obeying the voice of the Shepherd and not being shepherded. It happens especially when everything is possessed and in good situation. If one is not being obedient and not shepherded, he will fall.

    • The reproach of widowhood.
Widow is life who breaks with her husband. She denotes life who breaks with God. The practices are getting bored or sleepy during the preaching of the Word, being dry spiritually and dry in worshiping God.

      1 Timothy 5:11-13
5:11 But refuse theyounger widows; for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,
      5:
12 having condemnation because they have cast off their first faith.
      5:
13 And besides they learn to beidle, wandering about from house to house, and not only idle but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

The reproach of widowhood is also being unfaithful in ministry. If one is unfaithful, he must be evil. He talks about gossips and wrong and evil words.

In the condition of being separated from God (as a widow), one will experience unsolved problems, especially problem about marriage and children.

    Ephesians 5:25-27
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
    5:
26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
    5:
27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Jesus as heavenly Bridegroom sanctifies us from the reproach of youth and widowhood until we are perfect as He is.

    Isaiah 54:10
54:10 For the mountains shall depart
And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you,
Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

If we are willing to be sanctified, we will receive the kindness of God to protect us from all distress and God’s judgments in the last day.

  2. Eating our own food and wearing our own apparel, meaning there is no worry about daily life needs and the future.
    Isaiah 4:1
4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying,
“We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel;
Only let us be called by your name,
To take away our reproach.”

    Luke 12:29-30
12:29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
    12:
30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.

The practices of having no worry are as follows.

    • Being faithful and responsible in the ministry.
      Luke 12:31
12:31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

    • Being shepherded.
      Luke 12:32
12:32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

No matter how great a sheep is, if it is not shepherded, wild beast will eat it. But no matter how small/ weak a sheep is, if it is shepherded, there will be the shepherd who protects it.

Within Tabernacle, it denotes the Holy Place, where there are three types of equipment as follows.

      1. Golden Candlestick, that is perseverance in General Service, where we have fellowship with God the Holy Spirit.
      2. Table of Showbread, that is perseverance in Bible Study Service with Holy Communion, where we have fellowship with the Son of God.
      3. Golden Altar of Incense, that is perseverance in Prayer Service, where we have fellowship with God the Father.

      1 Peter 2:25
2:25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

God the Trinity cares our body, spirit, and soul within the shepherding.

  3. The name of Jesus is attached to our life.
    Isaiah 4:1
4:1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying,
“We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel;
Only let us be called by your name,
To take away our reproach.”

    Philippians 2:8-11
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point ofdeath, even the death of the cross.
    2:
9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
    2:
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
    2:
11 and thatevery tongue should confess that Jesus Christ isLord, to the glory of God the Father.

If we want the name of Jesus to be attached in our life, we must become obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore.

    The results are as follows.

    • Victory power over Satan the trinity who is the source of sins and curses of sin, problems, sufferings, and tears. If we have the name of Jesus, we can live in righteousness and holiness, all problems will be solved, we live in peace and joy, and sufferings and tears will be erased.

    • Recovery power from being lame.
      Acts 3:1-2,6-8
3:1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
      3:
      2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
      3:
7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted himup, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
      3:
8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.

Being lame means being non active, having no firmness, and doubting the Word. This kind of life is outside the Beautiful gate, meaning his life is never beautiful.

This lame man is also always on his bed, meaning wrong marriage and preserving uncleanness.

But in the name of Jesus there is recovery power, so we can hold on the true teaching Word and experience recovery in our marriage.

    • New name as the result of renewal of life.
      Revelation 3:12
3:12 He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on himMy new name.

We must be renewed little by little until we are perfect as God and enter the New Jerusalem. Renewal of life is started from there is no more lie.

      Revelation 21:27
21:27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

God blesses us.
