General Service in Malang, October 28, 2018 (Sunday Morning)
Peace
and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation
chapter eight and nine refer to the two tablets of stone or the
perfect love.
Revelation
8:2
8:2
And I saw the
seven angels who
stand before God, and to them were given seven
trumpets.
The
seven angels are given seven trumpets, so each of them gets a
trumpet. The angel refers to the pastor. The trumpet
refers to the shepherding word, namely the true teaching word which
is hard and sharper than any two-edged sword. It is entrusted
by God
to a pastor to be preached to the congregation faithfully,
continually, sequentially,
and repetitively to become food for them. So, the congregation do not
fall in sins but grow to the spiritual maturity. The shepherding word
also becomes a command for the congregation, so they know the things
that they must or
must not do.
Revelation
8:1-5 8:1
When He
opened the seventh seal,
there
was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 8:2
And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were
given seven trumpets. 8:3
Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the
altar.
He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers
of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
8:4
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints,
ascended before God from the angel's hand. 8:5
Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar,
and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings,
lightnings, and an earthquake.
There
are two contradictory
conditions as follows:
-
[Revelation
8:1-4] The quietness, silence, or worship prayer.
The people who
hear and obey the voice of trumpet or the shepherding word will
experience the love of God, so they experience the silence and peace
which increase up
to the silence for about half an
hour in heaven forever.
-
[Revelation
8:5] The people
who reject the voice of trumpet, the shepherding word, or have
no
the love of God will experience the
shakings which increase and the seven condemnations
of the trumpet that make them perish forever in hell.
So,
our attitude to the voice of the trumpet or the shepherding word
determines our life whether we live in silence and peace up to
eternal life or we live in shakings, condemnation, destruction, or
doomsday forever.
Moreover, from now, we must hear and obey
the voice of the trumpet or the one of the shepherd.
Numbers
27:15-17 27:15
Then Moses spoke to the LORD, saying: 27:16
"Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set
a man over the congregation. 27:17
"who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead
them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the LORD may not
be like sheep which have no shepherd."
God
sets a shepherd to blow the trumpet loudly
to the congregation that will
determine their life.
The functions of the voice of the
trumpet or the shepherding word are as follows:
-
The
journey of Israel was led by the two trumpets from the mount of
Sinai to the border of Canaan. The two trumpets refer to the Old
Testament and the New Testament, Bible, or the true teaching
word.
Numbers
10:1-10 10:1
And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 10:2 "Make
two silver trumpets
for yourself; you shall make them of hammered work; you shall use
them for calling the congregation and for
directing the movement of the camps.
10:3 "When they blow both of them, all the congregation
shall gather
before you at the door of the tabernacle of meeting. 10:4 "But
if they blow only one, then the leaders, the heads of the divisions
of Israel, shall gather to you. 10:5 "When you sound the
advance, the camps that lie on the east side shall then begin their
journey. 10:6 "When you sound the advance the second time,
then the camps that lie on the south side shall begin their journey;
they shall sound the call for them to begin their journeys. 10:7
"And when the assembly is to be gathered together, you shall
blow, but not sound the advance. 10:8
"The sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and
these shall be to you as an ordinance forever throughout your
generations. 10:9 "When you go to war
in your land against the enemy who oppresses you, then you shall
sound an alarm with the trumpets, and you will be remembered before
the LORD your God, and you will be saved from your enemies. 10:10
"Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed
feasts, and at
the beginning of your months,
you shall blow the trumpets over your
burnt offerings and
over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be a
memorial for you before your God: I am the LORD your God."
The
functions are as follows:
-
To
call Israelites to gather.
-
To
call Israelites to move.
-
To
call Israelites to war.
-
To
celebrate the feasts.
-
The
sign of the beginning of the months.
-
To
burn the offerings.
Number
six refers to
the number of the flesh.
So, the voice of the trumpet is to
repress
and kill the flesh with all of its lusts, desires, ambition,
emotion, and characters, so
that we can
obey the voice of the trumpet until the flesh does not speak anymore
like Abraham.
The results are as follows:
-
We
are easily led to enter the shepherding pen or the Holy Place.
Ezekiel
20:37 20:37
"I will make you pass
under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the
covenant.
In
the shepherding pen, there are three instruments which refer to the
perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows:
-
The
Golden Candlestick refers to the perseverance in doing General
Service to get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the
anointing and gifts of Holy Spirit.
-
The
Table of Showbread refers to the perseverance in doing Bible Study
Service and Holy Communion to get the fellowship with the Son of
God in the true teaching word and sacrifice of Christ.
-
The
Golden Altar of Incense refers to the perseverance in doing Prayer
Service to get the fellowship with Father God in His love.
We
are
fond of and firm in the
shepherding pen.
In
the shepherding pen, the body, soul, and spirit attach to the
trinity of God, so we cannot be touched by the trinity of Satan. A
hair of us cannot be made
fall
because we are counted by God. [Ezekiel 20:37]. It means as
follows:
-
We
are preserved miraculously and abundantly although we are only
like a hair which is powerless and cannot do anything. So, we can
give thanks to God.
-
We
are protected and defended by God so that we are not scattered.
We are neither deceived by
the false teaching nor lost in sins up to the peak. We are in
peace.
All things are easy
and light until God owns us and we become His forever.
-
John
10:3,16
10:3
"To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice;
and he calls his own sheep by name and leads
them out. 10:16
"And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also
I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there
will be one flock and one shepherd.
We
are led to go out from the shepherding pen to the other shepherding
or to enter the revival of Holy Spirit at the later rain or the
revival of edifying the perfect body of Christ.
It begins
from marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding pen, until Israelites
and the Gentiles become one perfect body of Christ.
-
To
perform two forms as follows:
Revelation
1:10,12-13 1:10
I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and I
heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet. 1:12
Then I turned to see
the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I
saw seven golden lampstands. 1:13
and in the midst of the
seven lampstands One like the Son of Man,
clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest
with a golden band.
-
The
seven golden lampstands, the perfect church, the light of the
world, or the heavenly
bride.
The
voice of the trumpet that we hear and obey will sanctify and change
us from the fleshly man to the perfect spiritual one like Jesus
is.
What must be sanctified and changed? Colossians
3:5-9 3:5
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth:
fornication,
uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is
idolatry.
3:6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon
the sons of disobedience, 3:7 in which you yourselves once
walked when you lived in them. 3:8 But now you yourselves are
to put off all these: anger,
wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 3:9
Do not lie to one another, since you have put
off the old man with his deeds.
The
voice of the trumpet sanctifies us from the six sinful
deeds in our outward man
[Colossians 3:5] and six sins of the
inward
man [Colossians 3:8-9]. So, we can leave the old life with the
deeds. The proof is that there is no more lie.
What must be
renewed? Colossians
3:10-14 3:10
and have
put on the new man
who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who
created him. 3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew,
circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free,
but Christ is all and in all. 3:12 Therefore, as the elect of
God, holy and beloved, put
on tender mercies,
kindness,
humility, meekness, longsuffering. 3:13
bearing with one another, and forgiving
one another,
if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave
you, so you also must do. 3:14 But above all these things put
on love,
which is the bond of perfection.
- The
tender mercy, namely we do neither
judge the sinful man nor
agree
to sin, but we bring him to God through our
prayer
and invitation
to go to the church.
-
The
kindness, namely being generous
and liking to give
to the work of God and other people who are in need.
-
The
humility, namely the ability to confess sin. After being forgiven,
do not do it anymore.
-
The
meekness, namely the ability to receive the true teaching word
which is hard and sharper than any two-edged sword
as well as the rebuke and advice which are in line
with the true teaching word.
We
can accept other people in their weakness and superiority.
It begins
from the marriage.
-
The
longsuffering, namely being patient in suffering by giving thanks
and waiting the time of God by not looking for other way outside
the word. If we look for the way outside the word, we will be in
failure,
nakedness, shame, and perdition.
The
heavenly system begins
from nothing to something and small things to the big ones, but
the system of the world begins
from big things to the small ones
until falling like the tower of Babylon.
-
Forgiving
and forgetting sin
one
another.
-
The
Love.
The proof that we have
been
renewed by God is that we have the love of God.
For
example,
Peter had
denied God and lied
or he
did not have
the
love, but there were still three questions of Jesus to him, namely
the voice of the trumpet in the three main services.
John
21:15-17 21:15
So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,
"Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He
said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He
said to him, "Feed My lambs." 21:16
He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do
you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I
love You." He said to him, "Tend My sheep." 21:17
He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you
love Me?" Peter
was grieved because He said to him the third time,
"Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You
know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him,
"Feed My sheep.
Peter
was a great servant of God.
Nevertheless, outside
the system of shepherding, he still lied and
had no
sanctification, love, and renewal, but through the perseverance in
hearing the word which was preached in the three main services, he
could be sanctified and changed until there was no lie. He became
grieved, regretted, confessed
his sin,
and received the love of God, so he could love God more than
anything.
John
21:18-19 21:18
"Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you
girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old,
you will stretch
out your hands,
and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
21:19
This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And
when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."
The
proof is
that
Peter stretched his hands to God and obeyed the word of God until
the flesh did not speak anymore.
He
surrendered and cried out only to God.
-
Jesus
as the High Priest and the Great Shepherd who sits on the right
side of the
throne of Father God.
Revelation 1:13 1:13
and in
the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man,
clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest
with a golden band.
Jesus
as the High Priest watches
us from the high place. It means that He cares, struggles, and
stretches His merciful hand for all of us.
The results are
as follows:
-
Jesus
as the High Priest stretches
His faithful and just hand to forgive all
of our
sins.
1
John 1:9 1:9
If we confess our sins, He
is faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
-
Jesus
as the High Priest
stretches His faithful and merciful hand to help us in time of
need and finishes all of impossible problems.
Hebrews
2:17-18 2:17
Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that
He might be a merciful and faithful
High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for
the sins of the people. 2:18
For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to
aid those who are tempted.
Hebrews
4:16 4:16
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy and find
grace to help in time of need.
-
Jesus
as the High Priest
stretches His faithful hand and does His promise to preserve us
physically and spiritually for successful and beautiful future
life and
sanctify and perfect us until we
become as glorious
as Him to be worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious
clouds.
1
Thessalonians 5:23-25 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may
your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless
at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 5:24
He who calls you is faithful,
who also will do it.
5:25
Brethren, pray for us.
At
the last trumpet, the ones who were died on Christ will be raised
in the glorious body and those who still live will
be changed in the glorious body too.
Both of them will become one perfect body of Christ on the
glorious clouds.
1
Corinthians 15:51-52 15:51
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We
shall not all sleep,
but we shall all be changed. 15:52 in a moment, in the
twinkling of an eye, at
the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound, and the
dead will be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
God
blesses you.
