(To coincide with Fasting Prayer session III)

Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:16-20 is about the commandment to preach the Gospel or to spread the light or shekinah glory. It means we are employed by God in a great revival according to the great commission as follows.

  1. [verse 18-19] The revival of Holy Spirit at the early rain.
    Matthew 28:19
28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

It is the revival in gospel word or the gospel of salvation, to bring the sinners to get the salvation through believing in Jesus and the water baptism.

  2. The revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
    Matthew 28:20
28:20 "teachingthem to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

It is the revival in the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ or the teaching Word to bring the people who have been saved to enter the building of Christ’s perfect body, be sanctified, and perfected to become the Bride of God who is ready to welcome Jesus’ second coming.

Preparing the revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain, we must live in holiness until flawlessness. Fasting prayer is one of the ways to live in holiness.

Matthew 6:17

6:17 But you, when you fast, anoint your headand wash your face,

The signs of the right fasting are as follows:
  1. Anoint your head”, it means our mind is being anointed by Holy Spirit.
  2. Wash your face”, it means our heart is being sanctified by the water of Teaching Word.
Thus, the right fasting is widely giving opportunity to God’s Word in the anointing of Holy Spirit for sanctifying our heart, mind, and whole life.

Matthew 15:19
15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts(1), murders(2), adulteries(3), fornications(4), thefts(5), false witness(6), blasphemies(7).

The heart and mind of men are being controlled by seven evil and unclean desires that make they cannot live in holiness, even make they go to the perfection in wickedness and uncleanness that is Babylon. The practices are as follows:

  1. Uncleanness sins, those aresins concerning eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage (sexual sins with all its kinds, incorrect marriage).

  2. Wickedness sins, those are being stingy (unable to give) and greedy (robbing the property of others and God that is tithe and special offerings).

Matthew 22:21

22:21 They said to Him, “Caesar’s.” And He said to them,“Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

In fasting, our heart is being purified from seven wicked and unclean desires; furthermore we can give to Caesar/government (we can obediently pay the tax, obey the regulation, etc) and God. There are three properties of God that cannot be charged against as follows:

  1. The tithe and special offerings.
  2. The house of God, that is ministry until the worship
  3. The Bride of God, that is the flawless and perfect life.

Malachi 3:8-10
3:8 “Will a man rob God?Yet you have robbed Me!But you say,‘In what way have we robbed You?’In tithes and offerings.
3:9
You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me,eventhis whole nation.
3:10
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,That there may be food in My house,And try Me now in this,”Says theLordof hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heavenand pour out for yousuchblessingthatthere willnotbe roomenoughto receive it.

The tithe and special offerings are the offering that glorifies and exalts God, also transfers us from curse condition in the world to ambience of joy and blessing of heaven.
The titheis confession that we have been blessed by God, the base is the truth.
The special offeringsare our gratitude that we have been blessed by God, the base is willingness.

2 Corinthians 9:9-10
9:9 As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad,He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”
9:10
Now mayHe who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you havesownand increase the fruits of your righteousness,

There are two things that must be concerned in every blessing that we receivedas follows:

  1. The bread for food, for daily need.
The purpose of eating is to be filled and healthy, not for satisfying our desire only.

  2. The seed to spread, which is the special offerings.
All blessings will run out, if it is completely made bread for food. On the contrary, if some seeds are for sowing, the blessing will not run out, but it will produce the fruits of truth.

The facts found in the practicing of special offerings are as follows:

    • The offerings for the building of the body of Christ.
      2 Corinthians 9:12

9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God,

That is giving and visiting among fellows who need physical and spiritual things. It starts from inside marriage and shepherding.
The ministry of the building of the body of Christ is the opportunity to sow the seed. Thus the blessing of God never runs out; even produces the fruit of truth.

    • The offerings that is the sacrifice of praise to God or the fruits of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
      Hebrews 13:15

13:15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit ofourlips, giving thanks to His name.

The practice is the true and right words, which become blessing for others, we always give thank and worship God.

      2 Corinthians 9:6-8

9:6. But thisI say:He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
      9:7
So let each onegiveas he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
      9:8
And Godisable to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in allthings, may have an abundance for every good work.

The term and condition for special offerings’ being fragrantin God’s court are as follows:

      1. Being offered with willingness and drivenby the Word of God in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
      2. Giving with joy, not with sadness.
      3. Giving with voluntariness, not by compulsion.

If our special offering is pleasant and fragrant in God’s court, He will pour out the mercy and grace that are bigger than anything in the world.

The functions of the mercy and grace of God are as follows
:

  1. Giving preservationin our physical and spiritual life abundantly.
    2 Corinthians 9:8
9:8 And Godisable to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in allthings, may have an abundance for every good work.

Preservation in physical life happens to make the things that do not exist yet to fulfill our needs.
In spiritual life, we have the abundance for every good work, which is good and right deeds and word. God is able to make everything good.

    Revelation 19:8

19:8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Until we get the fine linen, clean and bright to welcome Jesus’ second coming.

  2. Giving protection in miracle.
    Genesis 6:7-8

6:7 So theLordsaid, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”
    6:8.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of theLord.

It protects us in the world from anything that can destroy, which is the sins up to the peak of sins, the impossible tribulation, and God’s punishment.

  3. Preparing us to greet Jesus when He comes a second time.
    Revelation 22:20-21

22:20. He who testifies to these things says,“Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
    22:21
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christbewith you all.Amen.

It means to fix everything that are not settled/finished yet in physical or spiritual life. God cleans up all problems and repairs all the sins. We are being sanctified until flawless to greet Jesus’ second coming.

God blesses us.
