Bible Study Service in Malang, December 29, 2011 (Thursday Evening)

Matthew 26:47-56is about "Jesus' Arrest"and it still happened in Gethsemane.

Matthew 26:47-48
26:47. And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and elders of the people.
26:48 Now His betrayer had given them a sign, saying, "Whomever I kiss, He is the One; seize Him."

A great multitude with swords and clubs, coming from the chief priest and elders of the people and being led by Judas Iscariot, came to arrest Jesus.

At the last days, the Church of God will also experience Gethsemane (sufferings, persecution, difficulty, et cetera), that happens in the time before antichrist reigns over the world up to the time antichrist reigns over it for three years and half.

The ambience of Gethsemaneonly can be defeated by watching and praying.

There are two people who were contradictory against one another in Gethsemane, referring to the time we suffer without any sins as follows:
  1. [Matthew 26:39] Jesus who watched and prayed, so there was full tearing of flesh(the Veil was torn).
All His wills and lusts of flesh were torn so He could be obedient fully to the will of Father God or the true teaching word.

The whole life of Jesus is filled with the will of Father God or the true teaching Word so He becomes perfect spiritual man as golden pot that had manna. Such life is as follows:
    • Life that is endurable and able to face Gethsemane.
    • Eternal life.
(Matthew 26 refers to the golden pot that had manna in the Tabernacle teaching).

  2. [Matthew 26:47] Judas Iscariot who did neither watch nor pray, so there was no tearing of flesh.
Judas Iscariot kept these two things in his life:
    • The strong flesh will or lust, as he came with a great multitude with swords and clubs.

The term 'a great multitude' denotes to strength, and it is added with the swords and clubs. It refers to how strong our flesh is until we often resist the Word of God.

All evil and unclean lusts are in the flesh will or lust.

    • False teachingswhich are not in line with the bible, as the description of chief priests and the elders.

Thus, thewhole life of Judas was only filled with evil and unclean lusts as well as false teachings, so he became broken mortar pot and he perished.

    Be alert!
2011 is the year of separation, and when it is almost end, Satan tries to separate us the more.
The time we experienceGethsemaneis the important time that determines our life, whether we are filled with the will of Godto reach perfection as the golden pot or with the flesh lusts and false teachingto reach destruction and perdition as the broken mortar pot.

Matthew 26:47
26:47. And while He was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, with a great multitude with swords and clubs, came from the chief priests and elders of the people.

Be alert!
The separation actually happened among the disciples of Jesus, not with other people outside them.

I John 2:18-19
2:18. Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Antichrist goes out from us, namely those who are not serious.
Thus, THERE WILL BE A SEPARATION between the serious people and those who are not serious in the Lord!

The ones who are not serious are not only the people who do not serve and minister God faithfully but also they who do the service and ministry faithfully in church.

The practice is being not serious or unmindful of Jesus, the Rock.

Deuteronomy 32:18
32:18 Of the Rock who begot you, you are unmindful, And have forgotten the God who fathered you.

There are three Jesus' appearances as the Rock as follows:
  1. Psalm 19:14
19:14Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

    Psalm 62:1-2
62:1Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation.
62:2He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

Jesus as Redeemer/Savior, who saves sinful man.

The process of receiving salvation is as follows:
    • Believing in Jesus or having faith in Him through hearing the Word of God in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
Being sleepy and bored of hearing the Word, one begins to leave the Rock.
Loving hearing the Word, we are near to the gate of heaven. On the contrary, being sleepy and bored of hearing the Word, one is near to the gate of death.

    • Repenting or stopping sinning to return to God.
    • Being renewed by water and Spirit, so we have new life or heavenly life, namely life in righteousness, and we can hold fast to one true teaching Word.

It refers to the Court of Tabernacle.

    Psalm 62:1-2
62:1Truly my soul silentlywaits for God; From Him comes my salvation.
62:2He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

The result will be real as follows:
    • We can endure all things; we have firm faith that is not moved although we face temptations, sins, sorrows, et cetera.
Be alert of temptation which makes our flesh comfortable but not in line with the Word of God.

    • We have quietness, so all things become easy and light.
Our life will begin to be weary and heavy burden if there is something not righteous in our life or we begin to open our ears to false teachings.
Feeling so heavy in our life, let us check whether there is something false in our life or not!

Antichrist is unmindful of Jesus, the Redeemer.
The practice iskeeping unrighteous things or sins and false teachings.
Consequently, one falls and great is the destruction as a house built without any foundation, he perishes forever.

We must watch and pray to keep LIVING IN RIGHTEOUSNESS and HOLDING FAST TO ONE TRUE TEACHING WORD.

  2. Genesis 49:24
49:24 But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),

    Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd gives His soul to feed the sheep, so wolves cannot prey them, meaning they do not return to sin or go astray because of false teachings.

    Proverbs 12:26
12:26. The righteous should choose his friends carefully, For the way of the wicked leads them astray.

One who keeps his sins will neither be able to be shepherded nor to be a shepherd.
On the contrary, the righteous must be shepherded as it is written "The righteous should choose his friends carefully."

When the righteous meets other people who are righteous, they suit one another.
On the contrary, the wicked will not stand in the fellowship with the righteous (Psalm 1:5).

The true shepherding is being as a branch that attains to the one True Vine.
Heed to these two things in shepherding:
    • The sheepfold= The Holy Place of Tabernacle, referring to perseverance in doing three main services to the Lord.
Golden Candlestick refers to perseverance in doing General Service.
Table of Showbread points to perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
Golden Altar of Incense refers to perseverance in doing Prayer Service.

    • Obedience to the voice of Shepherd or shepherding Word or the true teaching Word God has trusted to a pastor.

We experience sanctification to our body, soul, and spirit, as the synchronization with the Trinity of God and three main services to Him in the shepherding, intensively and continually.

As a result, we must bear sweet fruits.

Antichrist is unmindful in the sheepfold as follows:
    • Not persevering in the shepherding. It equals to keeping back his sword from blood, hindering the work of the sanctification of the Word sword.

      Jeremiah 48:10

48:10 Cursed is he who does the work of the LORD deceitfully, And cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.

    • Hearing many strange teachings so there is no obedience to the true shepherding Word.
Strange voice is strange teaching or gossip none may be responsible of the truth or flesh voice that is absolutely not in line with the truth of God's Word.

For example, Judas Iscariot heard strange voice from the chief priests and the elders of the people. Finally, he chose the strange voice and left the true one even opposed it.
Judas chose to hear the strange voice rather than Jesus' voice although He is his true pastor.

It has been a proof from the age of Eve that one will choose the false thing and leave the true one if s/he gives opportunity to hear strange voice. Finally, Eve was cursed in the ambience among thorns.

If we are sanctified in the sheepfold,we will receive ministry and gifts of Holy Spirit,so we can be employed in the revival of building the perfect body of Christ.

The ministry of building the body of Christ begins from marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, up to the international perfect body of Christ or the unity between the Israelites and Gentiles.

The right attitude isbeing faithful and fervent in Spirit doing our service and ministry, as well as being good and righteous.

Antichrist is unmindful, evil and lazy, and unprofitable, even he destroys the body of Christ.
The evil and lazy servant did not work the talent but kept it in the handkerchief.
What can cover the talent?Self-interests in our business, study, family, et cetera.
At last, he must only blame other people.

    Jeremiah 48:10a
48:10 Cursed is he who does the work of the LORD deceitfully,

Consequently, he is cursed and perishes forever.

We watch and pray that we can keep BEING SHEPHERDED with RIGHTEOUSNESS, BEING HOLY and FAITHFUL and FERVENT IN SPIRIT in building the spiritual house of God.

    Genesis 28:20-22
28:20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on,
28:21 "so that I come back to my father's house in peace, then the LORD shall be my God.
28:22 "And this stone which I have set as a pillar shall be God's house, and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You."

The proof of being in the building of Christ body is tithesas our profession that God has blessed us with clothes, food, and house as well as protected and accompanied usup to our descendants.

Servants of God do not live by the tithes they received but the ones they give back to God.

  3. Deuteronomy 32:4
32:4 He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

Jesus as Heavenly Bridegroom perfects His congregation to become His Bride.

In Tabernacle teaching, it refers to the Most Holy Place.

    Ephesians 5:25-27
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Jesus cleanses or sanctifies us through the water of water baptism and the rain of the true teaching Word.
We are sanctified and renewed until we are perfect.

Antichrist is unmindful of the sanctification and life renewal, so there is no change in life.

    II Timothy 3:1-5
3:1. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
    3:2 For men will be lovers of themselves(1), lovers of money(2), boasters(3), proud(4), blasphemers(5), disobedient to parents(6), unthankful(7), unholy(8),
    3:3 unloving(9), unforgiving(10), slanderers(11), without self-control(12), brutal(13), despisers of good(14),
    3:4 traitors(15), headstrong(16), haughty(17), lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God(18),
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

They do not have life renewal although having a form of godliness and taking position as apostles but they keep the eighteen characteristics of flesh, six in their body, six in their soul, and six in their spirit. In such condition, they become beasts.

The last characteristic of flesh is lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

    II Timothy 3:8
    3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;

Why did one resist the true thing and plead the false one? Because of the corrupt minds and disapproving concerning the faith.

On the contrary, Jesus was obedient to the will of God until he dies on the cross.

    Philippians 2:5-8
2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
2:6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
2:7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

There are seven minds and feelings of Jesus as follows:
    • Surrendering.
    • Being in the form of God, He did not consider it robbery to be equal with God.
    • Making Himself of no reputation.
    • Taking the form of a bondservant whereas actually He is a King.
    • Being found in the appearance as a man.
    • Humbling Himself.
    • Being obedient to the point of death.

Through the true teaching Word and Holy Communion, we can have the minds and feelings of Jesus so we can be OBEDIENT until our flesh does not sound anymore.

As a result, we receive the power of JESUS' name.

    Philippians 2:9-11
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
2:11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

    • There is victory power over the trinity of Satan.
We have victory over sin, so we can live in righteousness.
In addition, we can have victory over problem, all problems are settled, even the impossible one.

    • There is exalting power; God glorifies us.
We are lifted up from all failures and sufferings.
God glorifies us also means He employs our life.

    • There is renewal power, beginning from our mouth.
      Do not lie anymore!
Let us use our tongue to confess our sin, do not blame other people!
Moreover, let us use our tongue to bear witness and worship God.

We are renewed day by day until we do not stumble in word and our mouth only worships God, saying "Alleluia."
God blesses you.
