Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 9:1-12 is about the sound of the fifth trumpet or the fifth judgment of the Son of God over the people in the world.

Revelation 9:1
9:1. Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit.

The fifth trumpet is signified with a star that falls from heaven to the earth.

Isaiah 14:12
14:12 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [How] you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!

A star that falls from heaven to the earth refers to Lucifer who is cut down to the ground and becomes Satan.

Revelation 9:2-5
9:2. And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit.
9:3. Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
9:4. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads.
9:5. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.

Lucifer who is cut down to the ground and becomes Satan will be followed by evil and unclean spirits that are like locusts and scorpions to torment the people in the world for five months. Their torment is like the torment of a scorpion.
Men will seek death and will not find it, so they keep experiencing the condemnation of the fifth trumpet.

Why does Lucifer become Satan?
  1. Arrogance. He says: 'I will....' five times, until he will be like the Most High.
    Isaiah 14:13-14
    14:13. For you have said in your heart: '(1)I will ascend into heaven, (2)I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; (3)I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north;
    14:14.
(4)I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, (5)I will be like the Most High.'

    Philippians 2:8
2:8. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

Jesus humbles Himself and becomes obedient to the point of death on the cross with five major injuries.
Lucifer is arrogant, namely rejecting or resisting against the cross of God.

  2. Disobedience or resisting against the word of God.
The arrogance and disobedience are the character of Satan, but it also attacks the servant of God.
Matthew 16:21-23
16:21. From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
16:22. Then
Peter took Him asideand began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!"
16:23. But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

Peter took Jesus aside. It means that he puts aside or rejects the cross.
Peter becomes arrogant and disobedient.

That is why we must follow the example of the character of Jesus, namely being humble and obedient to the point of death on the cross, especially by eating and drinking the Holy Communion or Christ's sacrifice.
As a result, we can become humble and obedient to the sound of trumpet or the repeated true and hard teaching word.

If we want to hear the sound of trumpet from now on, we will not experience the condemnation of the fifth trumpet or the torment of scorpion, but we are purified continuously up to perfection like Jesus.
Experiencing the purification is the same as experiencing the spiritual growth up to full maturity like Jesus. We are ready to greet Jesus when He comes a second time on the glorious clouds.

The facts found in the spiritual maturity are as follows:
  1. We willingly suffer in the flesh to stop sinning and return to God. We willingly suffer to die to sins and live for righteousness.
    Hebrews 11:24-26
11:24. By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter,
11:25. choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin,
11:26. esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward.

We can die to sins and live for righteousness through the true water baptism.
The true water baptism is that one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life or heavenly one. It is the same as becoming the son of God or being set free from sins up to the peak. We do not want to sin although there are threats, advantage, and chance.

    Romans 6:18,13
6:18. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
6:13. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

We have been set free from sin and become the slaves or the armor of righteousness. We serve and minister to God faithfully and fervently although we have to suffer and sacrifice all things as well as being insulted or persecuted. Only one that may not be sacrificed, namely the true teaching word.

    Acts 20:24
20:24. "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

Paul the apostle does not count his life dear to himself for the work of God.

    John 21:18-19
21:18. "Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
21:19. This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."

When Peter the apostle was still young or not be mature in spirituality, he took Jesus aside.
But when he has been mature in spirituality, he willingly dies for God.

All ministries that are signified by the sacrifice, the sign of blood, or the cross will surely glorify or glamorize God.

    Isaiah 49:3-4
49:3. "And He said to me, 'You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.'
49:4. Then I said, 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the LORD, And my work with my God.'"

All things that we sacrifice for the work of God will not become in vain. Our reward and work are in the hands of God.
It means that there is certainty from God for our life now, the successful and beautiful future, up to the eternal life

  2. We can receive the solid food or the teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
    Hebrews 5:13-14
5:13. For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
5:14. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

The repeated true teaching word purifies our senses as follows:

    • The ear is purified to become the good one, namely just hearing and obeying the true teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
We do not give any chance to hear strange voice or false teaching that is not in line with the word.

    • The skin or feeling is purified to become the good one, namely we can love or prioritize God more than anything. We also love others as we love ourselves; even we can love our enemy. We do not discriminate others because of skin, social status, et cetera.

    • The eye or sight is purified to become the good one, namely we just look into the field of God and Himself. We just trust and hope God.
    • The mouth is purified to become the good one, namely producing the true, good, and holy words and become blessings for others.

If our senses are good, the result is as follows:

    • [Hebrews 5:14] We discern sharply both the true and the false things or the good and the evil ones.
It starts from distinguishing between the true teaching Word and the false one. It especially happens when we are deeply distressed like the disciples that assumed Jesus as ghost or the true thing becomes false.
It also happens when being blessed like Adam and Eve, who heard the voice of snake.

Furthermore, we can differentiate between the true ordination and the false one; the true marriage and the false one. It continues until we can differentiate everything that is right and wrong.

As a result, we can think, do, and speak what is true, holy, and good.
We do not sin anymore until we cannot sin. We are righteous, just as Jesus is righteous. We are holy, just as Jesus is holy.

    • We experience the creation power from nothing to something.
      Proverbs 20:12
20:12. The hearing ear and the seeing eye, The LORD has made them both.

      Mark 7:37
7:37. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."

The thing that has been destroyed or marred can be good until all things become good and beautiful in due time. The guarantee is Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

      Isaiah 52:13-14
52:13. Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.
      52:14. Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;

  3. We testify and worship God delightfully.
    John 9:20-22,37-38
    9:20. His parents answered them and said, "We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
9:21. "but by what means he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself."

9:22. His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone confessed that He was Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.
99:37. And Jesus said to him, "You have both seen Him and it is He who is talking with you."
9:38. Then he said, "Lord, I believe!" And he worshiped Him.

Worshipping God means that our eyes only see Him, our mouth cries out Jesus' name, and our hand is stretched out to Him. It is the same as surrendering, crying out, and totally trusting and committing ourselves to God. We stretch out our hands to God, and He will stretch out His merciful hands to us.

    2 Kings 4:18-20,32
4:18. And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers.
4:19. And he said to his father, "My head, my head!" So he said to a servant, "Carry him to his mother."
4:20. When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
4:32. When Elisha came into the house, there was the child, lying dead on his bed.

A woman of Shunem faced the death of her child on his bed.
A child who dies means spiritual death or sinning up to the peak, namely the sins of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage, impossibilities in all things, sorrow, tears, and having no future. If it continues, he will weep forever like Esau and be destroyed forever in the hell.

    2 Kings 4:28
4:28. So she said, "Did I ask a son of my lord? Did I not say, 'Do not deceive me'?"

The weakness of a woman or the church of God that is deeply distressed is that she often assumes the word of God as an empty hope or word. Consequently, she becomes disappointed and desperate. It is the arrogance and disobedience because she does not want to stretch out her hands to God.

    Mark 9:22-24
9:22. "And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us."
9:23. Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes."
9:24. Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"

A man often relies on his own power and intelligence when he is deeply distressed. It is the arrogance and disobedience.

Tonight, God waits for our worshiping and surrendering totally only to Him.
    2 Kings 4:33-37
4:33. He went in therefore, shut the door behind the two of them, and prayed to the LORD.
4:34. And he went up and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands; and he stretched himself out on the child, and the flesh of the child became warm.
4:35. He returned and walked back and forth in the house, and again went up and stretched himself out on him; then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
4:36. And he called Gehazi and said, "Call this Shunammite woman." So he called her. And when she came in to him, he said, "Pick up your son."
4:37. So she went in, fell at his feet, and bowed to the ground; then she picked up her son and went out.

'Eyes on eyes' means that we just see God, so He sees, remembers, and cares for us.
'Mouth on mouth' means that we just cry out to God, so He answers our prayer.
'Hands on hands' means that we just totally surrender to God, so He stretches out His merciful hands to us. We just hope God's merciful hands.

The result is sneezing seven times.
It means putting away the sins in heart and mind.
    Matthew 15:19
    15:19. "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts(1), murders(2), adulteries(3), fornications(4), thefts(5), false witness(6), blasphemies(7).

If we have already sneezed, we will be able to breathe.
    It means worshipping God.

The weakness of the younger people is being unwilling and unable to worship God because of too many dirts in heart and mind.

When we worship God, He will stretch out His merciful hands to us.
As a result, the miracle happens. We experience the power of lifting up ('Pick up your son').
    It means as follows:

    • The power of the renewal of life from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus.
We are honest before God. We confess all of our weaknesses.

    • The physical miracle happens. The impossible thing becomes possible. Failure is changed into success and beauty in His time.
    • Being lifted up from falls.
    • Being used in the revival of Holy Spirit in the last rain.
    • Being changed up to perfection like Jesus when He comes a second time. We are lifted up to glorious clouds. There are no more tears.
God blesses us.
