Matthew 25:1,13
25:1 "Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
25:13 "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

Church of God (the virgins) must be watchful always to be ready in welcoming Jesus' second coming in glory as King of kings, as Heavenly Bridegroom.

What must be kept is our lamp that burns continually.

There are two requirements to keep our lamp to burn continually as follows:
  1. [Matthew 25:5-7] Receiving Bride Tidings = the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ.
  2. Having oil for supply in vessel.
    Matthew 25:2-4
25:2 "Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
25:3 "Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
    25:4 "but the wise
took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
ad. 2. Having oil for supply in vessel.
The Church of the Lord is as ten virgins who can be divided into two groups below:
  1. Five wise virgins having the oil for supply.
  2. Five foolish virgins having no oil for supply who will be left when Jesus comes a second time and perished.
There will be a separation between a husband and his wife; one will be lifted up and the other will be left. We must be careful.

Five wise virgins
The Church of the Lord is as five wise virgins having the oil for supply, meaning overflowing with Holy Spirit, so the lamp burns continually to welcome Jesus' second coming.

The daily practices of the five wise virgins are below:
  1. Hearing and doing the Word said by Jesus = being obedient to the true teaching Word.

    Matthew 7:24-25
7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
7:25 "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.

The Word said by Jesus = the Word revealed through a verse's explaining another verse.

One who obeys the true teaching Word is as the one building his house on the rock. Such will beendurable in facing testand this is the practice of the burning lamp.

We have to be endurable in facing these three tests:
    • Heavy rain --> Satan in the air with the spirit of rebellion/wickedness and uncleanness.
      Ephesians 2:1-2
2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins,
2:2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience.

Obeying Satan, one cannot obey the Word. On the other hand, one who obeys the Word will never obey Satan. We only need to choose whether we become wise virgins or the foolish ones.

The spirit of wickedness and uncleanness are the source of sins up to the peak, i.e. sins concerning eating-drinking and sexuality.

Being endurable in facing tests = not sinning = living in righteousness.

    • Blowing wind --> false prophet with deceitful false teachings or the teachings which are not in line with the one we have received.

      Ephesians 4:14
4:14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting,

The false teaching deceives man until he loses the right direction to heavenly kingdom.

      2 Peter 2:1
2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructiveheresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

Besides, the false teaching also makes him perished in hell.

Being endurable in facing tests = rejecting expressly false teachings/other doctrines which are not in line with what we have received.
Rejecting expressly = not giving a chance to hear other teachings because Eve heard Satan only once and fell into sin.

Being endurable in facing tests = holding fast the true teaching Word.

      Mark 6:30
6:30 Then the apostles gathered to Jesus and told Him all things, both what they had done and what they had taught.

When Jesus sent His disciples, they had to be responsible of the teaching they taught (not about the quantity only). If the teaching is true, the consecration will be also true because the teaching is as a commander.

    • Floods --> antichrist with the power of Mammon (the bind of money and idolatry), i.e. stinginess and greediness.
Being stingy = cannot give for the work of God or for other people who need.
Being greedy = seizing the rights of the Lord, i.e. the tithes and special offerings as well as seizing the rights of other people.

Being endurable in facing tests = loving to give until feeling more blessed to give than to receive.
We give for the Lord, in form of the tithe and special offering, and for the other people who need.
If we can feel more blessed to give than to receive, we will be able to give our whole life to Jesus, Heavenly Bridegroom.
      Ephesians 5:25
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
Do not stop after building the foundation, continue it!

  2. Building house and hewing out the seven pillars.
    Proverbs 9:1
    9:1 Wisdom has built her house, She has hewn out her seven pillars;

    James 3:16-17
3:16 For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first
pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.

The pillars mean godly characteristics as follows:
    • Pure = holy in heart.
    • Peaceable = confessing and forgiving one another, there is no bitterness in heart.
    • Gentle.
    • Willing to yield.
    • Full of mercy and good fruits.
    • Without partiality, just.
      Exodus 32:26-27
32:26 then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, "Whoever is on the LORD's side -- come to me." And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.
32:27 And he said to them, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Let every man
put his sword on his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.'

Whoever is on the Lord's side putting his sword on his side will hold fast the true teaching Word. No matter who comes, whether he is our siblings or friend, or neighbor, do not have fellowship with other doctrines!

    • Without hypocrisy = being upright and faithful.
      Matthew 24:45,48,51
24:45 "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?
24:48 "But if that evil servant says in his heart, 'My master is delaying his coming,'
24:51 "and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with
the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Being upright and faithful, we have adorned the teaching Word.
      Titus 2:10
2:10 not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of Godour Savior in all things.

      Psalm 11:7
11:7 For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.

The upright and faithful will be able to see the countenance of the Lord.

  3. Building the battlement.
    Proverbs 31:30
31:30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

    Proverbs 9:10
9:10 "The fear of the LORDis the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

The wise bride fears the Lord.

    Proverbs 8:13
8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.

Fearing the Lord means being redeemed by Jesus' blood until being delivered from sins even hating sins, include hating lies to become upright.
Uprightness means saying 'Yes' if 'Yes' and 'No' if 'No' because the other comes from Satan.
It begins with uprightness to the Lord, uprightness in teaching and in all matters.

    Song of Solomon 8:9
8:9 If she is a wall, We will build upon her A battlement of silver; And if she is a door, We will enclose her With boards of cedar.

Appreciating the redemption, being delivered from sins, hating the sins and being upright mean we build a battlement of silver.

    Revelation14:3-5
14:3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
    14:5
And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without faultbefore the throne of God.
