Prayer Service in Malang, April 11, 2019 (Thursday Evening)

Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 9:1-12 tells us about the blowing of the fifth trumpet or the fifth condemnation of the Son of God, namely one will experience the torment of the scorpion's sting for about 5 months.
Revelation 9:7-12
9:7 The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.
9:8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth.
9:9 And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle.
9:10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months.
9:11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.
9:12 One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.

The shape of the locusts was like horses. It means that the evil and unclean spirits use their speed in spiritual battle against human especially the servants of God. It is used to conquer the heart and mind of the servants of God, so they have the wrong thoughts and views in everything especially in the service and ministry to God.

For example, one is only concerned about good grades in school until justifying any means like cheating. In terms of work, one is only concerned about the profit even getting it through deception. In matchmaking, one is only concerned to get married no matter it is wrong or right. In the service and ministry to God, one is only concerned or looks for the physical things such as the figure of man, entertainment, wealth or prosperity, regardless of the spiritual one, namely the persona of God or the Word. It continues until he rejects the true word of God or the sanctification.

Proverbs 29:18
29:18. Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

The consequences of rejecting the true word of God are casting off restraint or not being shepherded and being possessed by the evil and unclean spirits.

Mark 5:1-5
5:1 Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes
5:2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
5:3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains,
5:4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.
5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

The facts found in casting off restraint and being possessed by the evil and unclean spirits are as follows:
  1. Being separated from family. It means the fall in marriage and children.
  2. Dwelling among the tombs. The tomb means a place of the extension of death or a place for the dead. The examples are the discotheque and cinema, or dark places that make ones easy to sin such as gambling place and brothel, and also church that allows the members to commit sins such as smoking, marrying-giving in marriage, getting drunk, et cetera.

  3. Being unable to be tamed, meaning being difficult to manage, difficult accepting advice instead being angry and gossiping.
  4. Wandering and crying out. It means that there is no peace or serenity, but weariness, heavy burdens, and dissatisfaction. One of the signs is the dry mouth, namely gossiping, slandering, et cetera, until looking for other satisfaction in the world.

  5. Cutting himself with stones or self-destruction. It means corrupting the heart and mind or being insane.
    2 Timothy 3:5,8
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
    3:8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith;

The acts of being insane are resisting against the truth and having the corrupt mind, so the faith is destroyed.
The consequences are as follows:
  1. Living a broken life.
The examples are the violences in marriage such as resisting against parents and being rude to the wife or husband, neglecting the children, having affairs, adultery, mixed marriage up to free sex. Consequently, one will enter the punishment of God until be perishes forever in hell.

    Proverbs 6:32
6:32 Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.

  2. The service and ministry can not please God and the prayers are not answered by God, but become an abomination to Him.
If a shepherd doesn't want to feed the congregation, his intercession prayers are not answered by God, but become an abomination to Him. So, his life is upside-down and everything is going in vain.

    Proverbs 28:9
28:9. One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.
John 4:23-24
4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

John 17:17
17:17. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

The true worship prayer is driven by the true teaching Word in the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is able to sanctify the heart and mind up to the whole life.

Matthew 6:17
6:17 But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face,

The fasting prayer accelerates the sanctification of the heart and mind.
It gives the widest opportunity to the true teaching Word to sanctify the heart and mind up to the whole life.

Matthew 15:19
15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.

We are renewed especially from the seven sin of evil and uncleanness desires as well as the bitterness.
The result of sanctification is a holy heart filled with Holy Spirit in the seven manifestations. It continues up to worshipping God in groaning. We feel unworthy and weak and fully surrender to God.

Romans 8:26
8:26. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Proverbs 6:16-19
6:16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
6:17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood,
6:18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,
6:19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.

The Holy Spirit will sanctify us, so we hate sins up to lies. If there is lie, one will not be helped.

The results of sanctification are as follows:
  1. The candlestick is burning, meaning there is light or a new hope.
  2. A renewed heart.
    Colossians 3:10-14
3:10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
3:11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.
    3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
3:13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
3:14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

Tender mercy means not judging the sinful people.
Kindness means being generous or liking to give.
Humility means the ability to confess sin.
Meekness means being able to forgive and forget others' sin as well as accept the Word or advices although it is hard for us.
The longsuffering means being patient in waiting His time and not taking any way which is outside God's will because such way is a dead end that leads to destruction.

  3. God is also working for us.
    Romans 8:27-28
8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

In all things, God works for good. It means that all things become successful and beautiful in His time. Everything will be done in His time. When Jesus comes a second time, we will be perfected like Him.
God blesses us.
