Prayer Service in Malang, February 14, 2017 (Tuesday Evening)
(To
Coincide with Fasting Prayer Service Session III)
Peace
and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation
5:1 5:1 And
I saw in the right hand
of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back,
sealed with seven seals.
The scroll
that is held in the right hand of God who sits on the throne of
heaven is the Word of God that is written in Bible. It is the Word
that is revealed by God.
The Word of
God is written in two places in Exodus 20-23
as follows:
- Exodus
20:1-17: The Word of God is written in two tablets of stone or our
heart and mind. As a result, we experience the love of God so we can
love Him more than anything; we love others like ourselves, even we
can love our enemy.
- Exodus
20:22 up to Exodus 23: The Word of God is written in scroll or the
letter of our life or attitude.
Exodus
21:1-2 21:1 "Now
these are the
judgments which you shall set before them: 21:2
If you buy a Hebrew servant, he shall
serve six years; and in the seventh he shall go out free and pay
nothing.
The result is we experience
the liberty from sin. The sin is the
heaviest burden for men from the world up to hell. If we are free
from the burden of sin, we will be free from other burdens.
Who
can free us from sin?
Galatians
5:1 5:1 Stand
fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and
do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Only
Jesus is able to make us free from sin.
Why must we be freed
from sin? Because of the work of sin is death, living in curse (labor
and heavy burden) until perdition in hell.
How can Jesus make
us free from sin?
- It
is through the sacrifice of Christ on the cross.
- It
is through the righteousness or the Word of God.
- It
is through the Holy Spirit.
2 Corinthians
3:17 3:17 Now
the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is
liberty.
Acts
2:36-40 2:36
"Therefore let all the house of Israel
know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified,
both Lord and Christ." 2:37
Now when they heard this,
they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the
apostles, "Men and
brethren, what shall we do?" 2:38
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and
let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit. 2:39
For the promise is to you and to your
children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God
will call." 2:40
And with many other words he testified
and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse
generation."
The processes of Holy
Spirit to free us from sin are as follows:
- Having
faith or believing in Jesus as the only savior through hearing the
Word of God.
- Repenting
or stopping sinning and returning to God. One dies from sin.
- Entering
the Water Baptism.
One who dies from sin must be buried in
water baptism together with Jesus and raised together with Him to
receive the new life. It is the life in the anointing of Holy
Spirit.
Romans
8:2 8:2 For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from
the law of sin and death.
The facts
found in life that is free from sin and living in the anointing of
Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Walking
in the Spirit.
Galatians
5:16-17 5:16 I
say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of
the flesh. 5:17
For the flesh lusts against the Spirit,
and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one
another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.
We
do not do the will of flesh so we can obey the will of God. It
means obedience. The result is we never stumble and fall; our
life is successful and beautiful.
- Being
led by the Spirit.
Galatians
5:18-21 5:18 But
if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 5:19
Now the works of the flesh are evident,
which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 5:20
idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions,
jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions,
heresies, 5:21
envy,
murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you
beforehand, just as I also told you
in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit
the kingdom of God.
We put to death
the works of flesh so we can live in righteousness, become the
weapon of righteousness, and minister to God faithfully and
correctly.
Proverb 11:4 11:4
Riches do not profit in the day of
wrath, but
righteousness delivers from death.
The
result is that the righteousness makes us free from death. We are
saved and live in eternal life. The righteousness frees us from
difficulties. We are blessed and cared by God in the midst of
difficulties in the world up to the age of Antichrist.
- We
live in the Spirit.
Galatians
5:24-26 5:24 And
those who are
Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and
desires. 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also
walk in the Spirit. 5:26
Let us not become conceited, provoking
one another, envying one another.
It
means crucifying the flesh with its will until it does not sound
anymore. We honor, serve, and love each other.
If we
walk, are led, and live in the Spirit, we can produce the fruits of
the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 5:22
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 5:23
gentleness, self-control. Against such
there is no law.
It is like Aaron's
rod that budded, bloomed, and yielded fruits. Producing bud
means living in holiness until there is hope and one can be hoped.
Blooming means receiving the gift of Holy Spirit and ministry or
the tunic of many colors; being employed in the ministry of the
building of the perfect body of Christ. It starts from marriage and
shepherding. Yielding the fruit means experiencing the renewal
of life. We return to the image or the character of the Trinity of
God as follows:
- Love,
joy, and peace are the character of the Father God.
- Longsuffering,
kindness, and goodness are the character of the Son of God.
- Faithfulness,
gentleness, and self-control are the character of the Holy Spirit
God.
Genesis 1:26 1:26
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our
image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the
fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle,
over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the
earth."
The
creating of character happens when we face the pressure and trouble
in life. Let us keep silent, stretch out our hands, and worship
God. Then, the hands of God or the power of Holy Spirit are able to
create something that does not exist yet. The impossible becomes
possible. The power of Holy Spirit changes
us until we are perfect when Jesus comes a second time.
God blesses us.
