Prayer Service in Malang, November 08, 2011 (Tuesday Evening)

Matthew 26:30-35 is aboutTHE WARNING TO PETER, especially about shepherding and about shaking that will happen.

Matthew 26:30-32
26:30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
26:31 Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I will strike the Shepherd, And the sheep of the flock will be scattered.'
26:32 "But after I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee."

The Mount of Olives will produce many olive fruits. The pressed olive fruits will produce olive oil. It refers to Jesus who suffers and dies on the cross to do these things:
  1. To pour out Holy Spirit,
  2. To become Good Shepherd.
Thus, the anointing of Holy Spirit is the hand of the Good Shepherd leading us to enter the sheepfold. The sheepfold is the best place to make everything good and beautiful in time of need.

There are two things that happen in the shepherding as follows:
  1. Separation or shaking in the last days, so the sheep are scattered.
  2. Death experience (verse 31) and resurrection experience (verse 32).

In shepherding, the sheep must experience the death and resurrection experience.

The death experience is the cross experience or suffering together with Jesus such as temptations in economy, health, marriage, and children, even persecution and arrest.
The important thing now is our attitude in facing the death or cross experience.
Our attitude in facing the death experience should be as follows:
  1. Do not doubt about the true teaching Word we have confessed in our live, the true teaching Word that has helped our life.
We have to hold fast the true teaching Word.
  2. Do not be disappointed or leave God.
  3. Do not make our solution outside the true teaching Word because it is not a solution but dead-end and perdition.
  4. Surrender fully to God through worshiping Him with fasting and long night prayer.
Peter experienced the death experience with shaking in his faith. He doubted about Jesus' saying until he denied and left Jesus.

John 21:1-3,7
21:1. After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself:
21:2 Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together.
21:3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.

Peter left Jesus at the sea of Tiberias, in the region of Galilee.
In the region of Galilee, Peter's faith was shaken until he left the ministry even he left Jesus, and he turned from the fisher of men to fisherman. The consequence of leaving the ministry is as follows:
  1. Not catching anything or we can do nothing but have total failure.
  2. Being naked or living in sins, being ashamed and living in curse even perishing forever.
Jesus as Great Shepherd has risen to go to Galilee first, faster than Peter and his friends, in order to help them.
In the system of shepherding, there is the lengthening of God's patience to help the ones who have been failed and naked. Now, it refers to the true shepherding Word, whose resurrection power is able to help us, whatever condition we have now.

The true teaching Word has the power of resurrection that can sanctify our heart and mind.

John 21:5-6
21:5 Then Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any food?" They answered Him, "No."
21:6 And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.

"Children, have you any food?" refers to the sanctification to our heart and mind. Being tired after working all night, they are questioned about their failure.
"No."refers to the honest profession.
The teaching Word points to all our condition. If our heart and mind are sanctified, our mouth can confess all our sins and failures to God and other people. Being forgiven, we must not do the sins again.

"Cast the net on the right side of the boat,"also refers to the sanctification to our heart and mind. Petrus and his friends were obedient to cast the net although it was contradictory to their hearts and minds. Obedience equals to our hands that we lift up to God. He will stretch His hand to us to perform miracles as follows:
  1. Spiritual miracle.
    John 21:11
21:11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty-three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.

    153 fish = 100 + 50 + 3, meaning as follows:
    • 100 = 10 x 10.
10 = hearing the Word of God. 10 = obeying the Word.
      10 = 10 commandments of God.
10x10=100, meaning we obey the Word until the flesh does not sound anymore. The obedience should become a characteristic nothing may shake.

    • 50 = the figure of Pentecost, meaning the anointing of Holy Spirit makes us faithful and fervent in spirit in our service and ministry to God.

    • 3 = the trinity of God, meaning we have the image of the trinity of God, namely honesty.

Obedience, faithfulness, and honesty are the spiritual miracles that can result in new man God reckons, pleads, and possesses
    .

  2. Physical miracle.
    • From no fish to many fish, meaning God preserves our life in the midst of many difficulties in the world.
    • From no wine to sweet wine, meaning God gives us joy.
    • From impossible matter to possible one.
The spiritual and physical miracles happen in the shepherding. It continues until we become perfect as Jesus is when He comes a second time and we welcome Him on glorious clouds.

God blesses you.
