Thanksgiving Service in Malang, December 27, 2012 (Thursday Evening)

Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5: 18
5:18. in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

One of God’s wills is that we always give thanks in everything or in any situation.

James 5:9
5:9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door!

What we must heed is we should not murmur or blame each other whatever thing we are facing, or else we meet Jesus, the Righteous Judge who will condemn and destroy.

If we always give thanks to God, we are facing Jesus, the High Priest, King of kings, or Heavenly Bridegroom, who loves us so much.

Why do we have to give thanks to God?
Because of His mercy and goodness that He has redeemed us, all humans from the four corners of the earth, on the cross.

Psalm 107:1-3
107:1. Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
107:2 Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, Whom
He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
107:3 And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

There are three levels of the redemption upon the cross as follows.
  1. The redemption from the hand of the enemy or the power of sins causing weariness, heavy burden, and perdition.
It refers to the Court of Tabernacle.

    Romans 3:23-24
3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

All people have sinned since Adam and Eve sin and they are cast into the world. Meaning all men are in weariness and heavy burden with the power causing distress and death.

There is no power in the world that can set us free from the power of sin. It is only by the grace of God that we can be redeemed by the power of Jesus’ blood, so we can be justified and live in righteousness.

The result of living in righteousness is as follows.

    • The righteousness saves us from the death.
      Proverbs 11:4
11:4. Riches do not profit in the day of wrath, But righteousness delivers from death.

    • We feel silence and peace, and all things become easy and light.
      Isaiah 32:17
32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.

If we are righteous, we will get peace in our life and all things become easy and light. All our heavy burdens are born by Jesus on the cross.

  2. The redemption done by Jesus’ blood to lift us up as the priests and kings.
    Revelation 1:5-6
1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
1:6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

The priest is a holy person who bears the ministry and the gifts of Holy Spirit, referring to the tunic of many colors. Our life has not been beautiful yet before we minister to God, even we can return to serve Satan again.

One who has ministered to God must keep the ministry and the gifts of Holy Spirit until the end line. The nearest end line is the end of this year, our bodily death, or Jesus comes a second time.

    Leviticus 21:12
21:12 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.

To keep the tunic of many colors, we must do these things.

    • A priest must be in the Holy place, namely being shepherded to the true teaching Word through the perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.

      1. General Service, referring to the Golden Candlestick.
      2. Bible Study Service, referring to the Table of Showbread.
      3. Prayer Service, referring to the Golden Altar of Incense.

As a result, we are intensively sanctified by the true teaching and the anointing of Holy Spirit. The more we are sanctified, the more we are anointed and the more we bear fruits. It continues until we are specialized as the apple of God’s eye.

    • The tunic of many colors must be dipped in the blood, meaning we must be willing to experience flesh suffering together with Jesusin order to serve and minister to God.

The duty of the priests and kings is as follows.

    • To glorify God or become witness about the Good Tidings and Bride Tidings.
      Isaiah 49:3
49:3 "And He said to me, ‘You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.’

    • To be faithful and fervent in spirit ministering to God until the end line.
      Isaiah 49:4
49:4 Then I said, ‘I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the LORD, And my work with my God.’"

As a result, there is guarantee of God’s preservation for our present and future life, up to the eternal one.

  3. The redemption until we are blameless, perfect, and glorious as Jesus is when He comes a second time.
    Revelation 14:3-5
14:3 They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty–four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
14:5 And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.

The beginning of perfection is not lying but saying righteous and good words. The honesty is especially about the teaching.

    Titus 2:7
2:7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,

    Hebrews 13:4-6
13:4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
13:6 So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

If we are honest in all things, Jesus will become the Head of our life. He is able to help and solve all our problems, even the impossible one.

    James 3:2
3:2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

The beginning of perfection is honesty or not lying. The end of the perfection is when we do not stumble in words but we only give thanks and worship God.

    Revelation 19:6-7
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."

God blesses you.
