Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Luke 9:28-36 is about Jesus Transfigured on the Mount.

The true worship must be driven by the true teaching word. It means we worship Jesus in His glory as the King of kings and the Heavenly Bridegroom.

Luke 9:36
9:36. When the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone. But they kept quiet, and told no one in those days any of the things they had seen.
Jesus is found alone means the center of worship is Jesus Himself.

1 Timothy 2:1-2, 8
2:1. Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanksbe made for all men,
2:2. for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

2:8. I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

There are four levels of prayer as follows:
  1. The supplication prayer.
The center of the supplication prayer is our need. We often do not pray when we do not need anything.

The term of the supplication prayer to be answered by God is His will must be in our heart or the word becomes faith in our heart, so everything we ask to Him is in accordance with His will.

    John 15:7
15:7. "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

The prayer that is in accordance with God's will (praying with faith) is surely answered by Him. We receive the blessing and helping of God that make us closer to Him.

There are two things that we must pay attention to in the supplication prayer as follows:

    • There is a teaching that teaches to pray with the lust of the flesh in the heart. One does not pray with the word of God or faith.

This prayer can be grabbed by Satan. Satan answers the prayer, so one does not receive the blessing, but temptation that dissociates him from God.

    • If we have already been blessed, we must increase in prayer. If we are satisfied in the supplication prayer only, we will become a Christian like Bartimaeus who begs to others. Bartimaeus is blind (his life is dark) and his cloth is dingy (wicked deed).

  2. The intercessions.
The center is others' need, namely our fellow and country.

    1 Timothy 2:2
2:2. for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

  3. Giving of thanks.
The center is the blessing that we have already received.
It must be increased to the worship. If we stop giving thanks, we will grumble and blame God when we have not been blessed yet.

  4. The worship.
The center is Jesus Himself, so we always worship God anywhere, anytime, and in any circumstances.

    Daniel 3:16-18
3:16. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.
3:17. "If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king.
3:18. "But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up."

For example, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego keep worshipping God either they are helped by God or not, because the center is God Himself.

    1 Timothy 2:8
    2:8. I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;

    Psalms 141:2
141:2. Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my handsas the evening sacrifice.

The terms of the worship that pleases God are as follows:

    • Being holy [1 Timothy 2:8].
We receive holiness by hearing the word of God that is sharper than any two-edged sword and obeying God.

We are purified starting from the heart, namely from evil desire (the will of money or stinginess and greediness) and unclean desire (sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage). Then, our deed and saying are purified too.

    • Being peaceful, without wrath and doubting. [1 Timothy 2:8].
We experience peace by making peace, namely confessing and forgiving one another.
So, the blood of Jesus takes our sins away and we experience peace.

    Hebrews 12:14
12:14. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

    Psalms 141:2-4
141:2. Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my handsas the evening sacrifice.
141:3. Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.
141:4. Do not incline my heart to any evil thing, To practice wicked works With men who work iniquity; And do not let me eat of their delicacies.

If we are holy and peaceful, we can see and lift up our hands to God, and our mouth call on His name. It means we cry and trust to God.

    Daniel 3:24-25
3:24. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, "Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?" They answered and said to the king, "True, O king."
3:25. "Look!" he answered, "I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."

If we worship God in purity and peace, Jesus Himself in the glory will be with us and He stretches out His merciful hand to us.

    The results are as follows:

    • God's merciful hand is able to protect and take care of us who are powerless in the middle of the difficulties of the world until the impossibilities in antichrist's age.

    • God's merciful hand is able to finish all of our problems up to the impossible ones. He gives us the way out in due time.

    • God's merciful hand is able to give the beautiful and successful future in due time.
      Daniel 3:30
3:30. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon.

    • God's merciful hand is able to change us from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus. Starting from being strong and of good courage. We keep choosing God more than anything.

      1 Chronicles 28:20
28:20. And David said to his son Solomon, "Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the LORD God--my God--will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

God will make everything complete. Everything becomes beautiful and successful in time.
When Jesus comes a second time, we will become as glorious as Him. We become the heavenly bride to greet God on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
