Mark 7: 37
7:37. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."

The theme is "He has done all things well."
Actually, God has created all things well in the beginning of His creation but Satan destroyed all things.
Satan destroyed men through sins, up to the peak of sin, i.e. sins concerning eating drinking and marrying and giving in marriage.

One form of destroyed men is the deaf and muteman.
One who is deaf will also be mute physically.

There are two meanings of being deaf and mute as follows:
  1. Physical meaning.
Being deaf means disability to hear the sayings of other people because of the deaf ears or because of the bad characteristics although the ears are in good condition.

Being mutemeans disability to say to other people because of disabled mouth physically or because the saying cannot be understood by other people.

Thus, being deaf and mute physically means having no relationship with other people.
    It is a sorrow.

  2. Spiritual meaning.
Being deafmeans unwillingness to hear the Word especially the teaching Word. One cannot understand the teaching Word or practice It.

The Word is God's calling. Being unwilling to hear the Word means unwillingness to receive the calling of God.

Being mutemeans disability to say to God, meaning one cannot worship God or the prayer is not answered by God.

    Zechariah 7: 12-13
7:12 "Yes, they made their hearts like flint, refusing to hear the law and the words which the LORD of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets. Thus great wrath came from the LORD of hosts.
7:13 "Therefore it happened, that just as He proclaimed and they would not hear,
so they called out and I would not listen," says the LORD of hosts.

Being unwilling to receive the calling of God, one will not be answered by God when he calls Him.

Thus, being deaf and mute spiritually means there is no relationship with God. It is a spiritual dryness which makes sorrow come and all things become dry.
Thus, the deaf and mute man has no relationshipwith God and other people. Consequently, all things become bad, destroyed and perished.

Tonight, there are examples from the Old Testament and the New Testament about the sons of God who has no relationship with God and other people as follows.

JOB(in the Old Testament).
Job was great but he was deaf and mute.

Job 19:13-19
19:13. "He has removed my brothers far from me, And my acquaintances are completely estranged from me.
19:14 My relatives have failed, And my close friends have forgotten me.
19:15 Those who dwell in my house, and my maidservants, Count me as a stranger; I am an alien in their sight.
19:16 I call my servant, but he gives no answer; I beg him with my mouth.
19:17 My breath is offensive to my wife, And I am repulsive to the children of my own body.
19:18 Even young children despise me; I arise, and they speak against me.
19:19 All my close friends abhor me, And those whom I love have turned against me.

= Job had no relationship with other people, even with his wife.

Job 19:7-10
19:7. "If I cry out concerning wrong, I am not heard. If I cry aloud, there is no justice.
19:8 He has fenced up my way, so that I cannot pass; And He has set darkness in my paths.
19:9 He has stripped me of my glory, And taken the crown from my head.
19:10 He breaks me down on every side, And I am gone; My hope He has uprooted like a tree.

= Job was separated with God.

Job 19:20,25
19:20. My bone clings to my skin and to my flesh, And I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth;

Consequently, he was in sorrow and threatened by the death.

Why did God let him have no relationship with God and other people?
It is to make Job see the Lord, the Redeemer who lives [Job 19:25], to make Job experience the power of resurrection.

Job 42:5-6
42:5 "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.
42:6 Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."

The process of seeing the Lord who lives is below:
The Lord truly tested Job, so he could feel himself as the dust and ashes, meaning confessing that he was powerless and only hoped in God.
We also have to confess that we are only the dust and ashes; we are unworthy to ministerbecause we are sinful and have many weaknesses.

If you are in the test until you have no hope, do not blame other people but confess "I am the one who is wrong."

Formerly, Job had the sin of self-truth.

Job 32:1-2
32:1. So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
32:2 Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.

The sin of self-truth means as follows:
  1. Covering sin by blaming other people.
  2. Covering sin by pretending to do good deeds.
  3. Covering sin by blaming God or the true teaching Word.
Realizing his mistake, Job confessed that he was powerless and he did not keep his self-truth. He experienced the power of resurrection and was healed doubly for his physical and spiritual life. Besides, he had good relationship again with God and other people.

Be careful in the time of being blessed!Job was not willing to repent in dust and ashes at the time of his physical greatness but he repented in dust and ashes when he was in great test.

Herod was the example of the one who did not sit in dust and ashes because he sat on his throne.
Be careful at the time of having high position, do not preach the self-truth but the truth of the Word of God.

Acts 12:21-23
12:21 So on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throneand gave an oration to them.
12:22 And the people kept shouting, "The voice of a god and not of a man!"
12:23 Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.

Making the voice of God and the one of man equal because of position or riches, one's cheek will be struck by the angel of the Lord, be eaten by worms and perished forever.
'The cheek'= the feelings. Having no sensitive feelings, one will be struck by the Lord.

Job was healed because He saw the Lord through the process of sitting on the dust and ashes.

THE APOSTLES (in the New Testament).
John 20:19-20
20:19. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shutwhere the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you."
20:20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when
they saw the Lord.

'The doors were shut' means the disciples had no relationship with the Lord and other people. They faced a dead-lock as the shut doors and they were in fear.

This condition is also the condition of the Church of the Lord in these last days.

Therefore, the Church of the Lord should not lock the door for Jesus or the true teaching Word.
Shutting the door for Jesus equals to opening the door for false teaching.

2 Peter 2:1
2:1. But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

The false teaching is a lethal poison. Do not spread the poison, especially in fellowship! If a pastor hears the poison of false teaching, the congregation will get the poison.

Jesus could still enter although the doors were shut, meaning the true teaching Word cannot be blocked by anything. There will be a great revival in the true teaching Word, namely the last rain revival.

The Lord let the disciples face the shut doors to make them see Jesus who lives.

John 20:20
20:20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

The process of seeing Jesus who lives is below:
  1. Seeing His side which has been pierced with a spear.
    John 19: 34
19:34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

Seeing His side means seeing the blood and water.
'The blood' means the sign of repentance that we stop sinning any sin even the peak of sin to return to God.
'The water' means water baptism or the renewal of life.

    Romans 6:2-4
6:2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

The requirement to be baptized of water is repentance (being dead to sin). We will be risen in new life which is suitable for living in heaven.

The life in heaven is the righteous life.

    Psalm 5:13
5:13 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround himas with a shield.

One who lives in righteousness is being surrounded by God as with a shield.
Besides, he/she will be blessed by Him and no curse may come.

  2. Seeing Jesus' hand in which there was the hole of nail.
    The hand is for working.
Seeing Jesus' hand means we work and minister as Jesus does.
Meaning we minister with a sacrifice and holiness.

    Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
    4:12 for the equipping of
the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

We all can be employed by God as long as we are holy.
The ministry is as Joseph's tunic of many colors which was so beautiful.
Meaning we will have beautiful present and future life if we minister in holiness.

  3. Seeing Jesus' face which shines in glory as the sun, meaning we worship the Lord.
    John 20:20
20:20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

Thus, the process of seeing Jesus who lives is living in righteousness and holiness and worshiping God.
Worshiping God, we have the renewal of life from carnal men to spiritual men.

    Ephesians 4:23-25
4:23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
    4:25 Therefore,
putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.

New man will not lie. As long as a man still lies, he has not been renewed although he has ministered and sacrificed for God.

Seeing Jesus' face actually is NOT LYING.

Peter was a great priest but he lied when he was asked by a little girl about Jesus who was arrested by saying that he did not know Jesus.

Seeing Jesus' face, we will feel peace and joy in our heart, there is no more fear and sorrow.

The results of seeing Jesus are below:
    1. There is power of resurrection to crush Satan.
      Romans 16:20
16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Impossible problem may become possible even the door of heaven is opened for us.

    2. We are preserved by God in the difficult days.
      1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
5:23. Now may the God of peace Himselfsanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blamelessat the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5:24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

Our body, soul, and spirit are preserved by God. We are changed little by little until we become as glorious as He is and we are ready to welcome Jesus' second coming.
God blesses you.
