Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 22:6-17 is about the coming of the Lord Jesus.
Revelation 22:6 22:6 Then he said to me, "These words are faithful and true." And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. God has said the faithful and true words, namely the true teaching Word that shows all things which have not happened yet, but must happen quickly, especially about Jesus' second coming.
John 3:343:34 "For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The servants of God whom He sends will preach the Word in the anointing of holy Spirit that cannot be limited. The true teaching Word contains the rebuke and advice so that the congregation can be as perfect as Jesus is.
Who are they?
Mark 3:13-143:13 And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him.
3:14 Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, Luke 6:12-136:12 Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.
6:13 And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; and from them He chose twelve whom He also named apostles:They are the people who are called, chosen, and appointed by God.
- Being called from among the sinners for being justified and saved by the sacrifice of Christ.
- Being chosen. From among many people who have been saved, one is chosen to be isolated, separated, or sanctified by the teaching Word until living in holiness.
- Being appointedas priests and kings or God's servants with the ministry according to His trust.
Thus, the servants of God whom He sends are those who are called, chosen, and appointed by Him to serve and minister to Him according to the ministry which He has entrusted.
2 Peter 1:10-111:10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
1:11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The calling and election or the ministry is very important because it is the same as the beautiful tunic making our life beautiful. It is the same as the full right to enter the heavenly kingdom.
Therefore, Jesus had to go up to the mountain for giving us the ministry.
- Praying all night-long.
- Being dead on Golgotha.
Therefore, we must willingly sacrifice all things for serving and ministering to God and praying much more in order to firmly receive the beautiful tunic. We must try hard so that our calling and election become firmer, so we can enter the heavenly kingdom and become the priests and kings forever.
The requirements that our calling and election become firmer are as follows:
- [verse10] Do not stumble in the calling and election!
Stumbling means not being faithful until leaving the ministry because of something in the world, either the great ones and the bitter ones, before the end line.
Acts20:19-20, 24
20:19 "serving the Lord with all humility, with many tears and trials which happened to me by the plotting of the Jews;
20:20 "how I kept back nothing that was helpful, but proclaimed it to you, and taught you publicly and from house to house,
20:24 "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my racewith joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Paul the apostle does not want to stumble because of anything in the world; not even because of his soul, so the calling and election become firmer until being able to finish the calling and election until the end line and being faithful in the ministry and teachings or keeping the faith.
2 Timothy4:7-8
4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
As a result, we are sanctified until being perfect and receiving the crown of righteousness.
- Do not be blind spiritually!
2 Peter1:9
1:9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.
Being blind spiritually, one will easily stumble.
Being blind spiritually means forgetting the forgiveness until repeating sins or being bound by sins that increase more up to the peak of sin, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage. One has done wrong thing, but he keeps hard-hearted.
Revelation21:8
21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liarsshall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
- Cowardly = the fear of something in the world until resisting against God and being fearful of sacrificing for God.
- Unbelieving = being doubtful to the true teachings because of false teachings and gossips. It also means being doubtful to the power of God.
- Abominable = evil, not being shepherded, disobedience.
- Murderers = hatred.
- Sexually immoral = uncleanness.
- Sorcerers.
- Idolaters = all things which hinder us to love God.
- Liars.
Being blind spiritually means repeating sins and there is no control in life. Consequently, the direction is wrong, not toward the New Jerusalem, but drowning in the lake of fire and brimstone or perishing in the hell forever.
One who is bound to sin is the same as the servant of sin, so he may not and cannot become the servant of God.
Romans6:18
6:18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.
The requirement of being the servant of God is that we must be set free from sins by the power of the blood of Jesus and the teaching Word. Therefore, we must persevere in committing the Bible Study Service with the Holy Communion.
1 Corinthians5:7-8
5:7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
If we are set free from sins and false teachings, we will be able to live in sincerity and truth, so we become the servants of righteousness. The border of the friendship in our life is the sincerity and truth. It is the same as the fence of protection like the ark of Noah, so nothing can touch our life. The accident, disaster, the Antichrist, and the punishment of God cannot touch our life.
As a result, we live in the atmosphere of feast of heaven, so we will never get bored.
- We must be active in the ministry for the edification of Christ's body.
2 Peter1:3-8
1:3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
1:4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
1:5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge,
1:6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness,
1:7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.
1:8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It starts from the marriage or household, shepherding, and inter-shepherding.
The process is as follows:
- Building the foundation, namely the true and firm faith--> entering through the Gate.
Romans10:17
10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The true faith comes by hearing the true teaching Word. Hearing gossip and false teachings, one enter the false gate, namely the gate of the death until perishing.
The true faith is tested until being the firm tested faith, namely nor being disappointed or hopeless and not leaving God , but keeping on believing and hoping God. The faith becomes the brake so that we do not commit any sin.
- Building the seven pillarsupon the foundation.
- Virtue or good deed --> the Altar of Burnt Offerings.
The first good deed whom God waits for is repentance, namely stopping sinning to return to God. We die to sin. All good deeds without repentance will be useless or meaningless.
- Knowledge or water baptism --> the Brazen Laver.
Philippians3:10
3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
Romans6:4
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
- Self controlor the fullness of Holy Spirit --> the Door of the Tabernacle.
Holy Spirit is able to control and put to death the flesh and all its desires, lusts, and characteristics, so w can live in righteousness.
- Perseverance.
- Godlinessor the service to God.
It refers to the perseverance in committing the three main services to God or being shepherded well and correctly.
Hebrews10:36
10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:
The need of human on the last days increases, but the salary decreases, so the life becomes so difficult. Nevertheless, all of our needs have been included in the perseverance in committing the three main services to God if we are shepherded well and correctly.
- The brotherly kindness.
- The love to all people.
We can repay good for evil.
- Building the roof.
2 Peter1:8
1:8 For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We love God more than anything, so Jesus appears as the Head that is responsible to our life until being dead on the Mount of the Skull. Jesus love, pays attention to, and cares for us.
Exodus3:7-8
3:7 And the LORD said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
3:8 "So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.
As a result, God pays attention to our inmost feeling that is suffering without being known by anyone. God gives peace.
Job31:4
31:4 Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps?
God pays attention to every step of our life so that we are set free from the death or we live in holiness and keep on being used by God in the edification of Christ's body.
Romans10:15
10:15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
The steps of life are successful and beautiful in time of need.
Matthew10:30
10:30 "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
God preserves our life although we are powerless like a piece of hair in the midst of the difficulties in the world.
We are sanctified and changed until being perfect.
God blesses you.
