Prayer Service in Malang, August 09, 2018 (Thursday Evening)
Peace
and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation
7:15b-16 7:15b
... And He who sits on the throne will dwell
among them.
7:16
"They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun
shall not strike them, nor any heat;
God's
activity on the throne of heaven is "dwell
among them".
It refers to spreading His wings or giving shadow
for us. It starts from the barren wilderness of the world until the
eternal shadow in the throne of heaven.
Who
are worthy to receive the shadow of God?
Psalm
68:5-6 68:5
A father of the
fatherless,
a defender of widows,
Is God in His holy habitation.
68:6
God sets the
solitary
in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But
the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
Those
who are worthy to receive the shadow of God are as follows:
- "The
fatherless"refer
to ones
who have no
connection
with the old father,
Satan, or the
devil. It means having no connection with sins.
- "Widows"refer
to ones who have no connection with the husband. It means having no
connection with the flesh and its wills and lusts.
- "The
solitary"refer
to ones who have no connection with the world and its influences,
such as difficulties, business, et
cetera.
We
learn the third point, namely "the
solitary".
For
example, Abraham
lived
in tent. The
tent is easily pitched and disassembled.
It means having no connection with the world. The
tent refers to the shepherding. Thus,
having no connection with the world means living
in the
true shepherding.
The
process of being
set free
from the world and its influences
is as follows:
- Do
not make
any friendship
with the world.
James
4:4 4:4
Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship
with the world is enmity with God?
Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an
enemy of God.
Having
the friendship
with the world refers to having connection with the world and it
influences, such as the worldly
activities, business,
and
difficulties, so one becomes unfaithful in the ministry to God. In
the Old Testament, unfaithfulness
is the same
as committing
spiritual adultery. In
the New Testament, unfaithfulness
is the same
as being a
wicked and lazy servant.
Matthew
25:26,
30 25:26
"But his lord answered and said to him, 'You wicked and lazy
servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather
where I have not scattered seed. 25:30
'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There
will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
If
the servant of God is unfaithful or lukewarm, he will
become
the unprofitable servant, be vomited like the congregation in
Laodicea, and live like vomit or in uncleanness.
The
result of being unfaithful in ministering to God is living in curse
and weeping up to entering the days of Antichrist for three and a
half years until entering the hell forever.
Do
not make friendship with the world means that we are brave to
sacrifice anything to be free from the influence of the world.
We
can work hard but we must persevere in serving and ministering to
God faithfully, well, and fervently.
Matthew
25:21 25:21
"His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful
servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler
over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'
The
result of being faithful and fervent in ministering to God is living
in the atmosphere of the joy of heaven. It starts from now in the
midst of the curse world until we are employed in the revival of
Holy Spirit at the last rain or the edifying of the perfect body of
Christ.
- Do
not love the world.
Loving
the world means being
tied by the influences of the world such as the lust
of the
eyes (the sins of eating-drinking), the
lust of the flesh
(the sins of marrying-being given in marriage), and the pride
of life (arrogance or relying on something in this world more than
God like riches, position, and intelligence).
1
John
2:15-17 2:15
Do not
love the world
or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of
the Father is not in him. 2:16
For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust
of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is
of the world. 2:17
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does
the will of God abides forever.
The
result of loving the world is disobeying
and resisting
against God, so one will perish with the world forever.
Hosea
8:12 8:12
I have written for him the great things of My law, But they were
considered a strange thing.
One
who is influenced by the things in this world will feel strange to
the true teaching Word.
Hosea
8:1 8:1
"Set the trumpet to your mouth! He shall come like an eagle
against the house of the LORD, Because they have transgressed My
covenant And rebelled against My law.
If
one refuses the true Word or rebels against God, he will perish
together with the world.
Psalm
119: 19 119:19
I am a stranger in the earth; Do not hide Your commandments from
me.
The
right attitude is that we feel strange in the earth, so we long for
the revelation of the true teaching Word even though we must
sacrifice a lot (suffering
in the flesh)
until we can hear the Word solemnly with a need. It continues until
we can understand, believe, and have
faith
to the Word. We can practice the Word whatever the risk may come. It
is the same as
being a shepherded sheep.
The
result of being shepherded is that we can confess "The
LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want".
There is direct caring from God abundantly
in our physical and spiritual life
until we can give thanks. The spiritual caring is that we become
flawless and perfect like Jesus.
The
proof of loving
God is practicing the Word.
- Do
not be conformed to this world.
If
we are conformed to this world, we will perish together with the
world.
Romans
12:2 12:2
And do
not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove
what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
It
starts from our own
life.
Our appearances must not be conformed to this world. It is also in
our daily life such as in friendship, dating,
study, and work. For example, a
student does not
cheat during
the exam
at school and
an officer does not do corruption in his
work. The marriage and ministry must not be conformed to this world.
We
must experience the life renewal from carnal man to spiritual one
like Jesus. The things that must be renewed
are as follows:
- The
heart becomes sincere like a baby that can differentiate the true
teaching word, marriage, ministry, and all things from the false
ones. Thus, we can live in
righteousness and holiness up to the perfection.
- The mouth
glorifies God or worships
Him with the broken heart. We confess our physical
and spiritual weaknesses.
We confess that we live from the great mercy and lovingkindness of
God.
Matthew
21:16 21:16
and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?"
And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of
the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected
praise'?"
Psalm
8:4 8:4
What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that
You visit him?
If
we cry, God will remember and struggle to help us.
Psalm
8: 2-3, 5 8:2
Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained
strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy
and the avenger. 8:3
When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon
and the stars, which You have ordained, 8:5
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have
crowned him with glory and honor.
As
a result, God
will stretch out His merciful
hands towards us to give victory, create something that does not
exist yet, and care us miraculously. He is able to finish the
impossible problems, lift us up, and make our life successful and
beautiful. He makes us as the priests and kings,
so
we become as glorious as He is. We are worthy to greet His second
coming on the glorious clouds until we enter the throne of heaven
or the eternal shadow of God forever.
God
blesses us.
