Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Luke 9:37-43a is about a boy is healed.
Luke 9:37-43a
9:37. Now it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him.
9:38. Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, "Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child.
9:39. "And behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out; it convulses him so that he foams at the mouth, and it departs from him with great difficulty, bruising him.
9:40. "So I implored Your disciples to cast it out, but they could not."
9:41. Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here."
9:42. And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.
9:43. And they were all amazed at the majesty of God. But while everyone marveled at all the things which Jesus did

There are two contradictory situations as follows
:

  1. The situation on the mount[Luke 9:28-36], namely the sons of God or the church in the true service ambience that culminates to the worship until they experience heavenly purity and glory (the renewal of life).

  2. The situation at the foot of the mountain[Luke 9:37-43].

ad. 2. The situation at the foot of the mountain.
The situations at the foot of the mountain are as follows:

  1. [Luke 9:39] It is influenced by the world, flesh with all of its lust, and Satan with the spirit of wickedness and uncleanness. It guides to the sin of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage (sexual sin with all of its kinds and false marriage).

The world guides to the age of Noah and Lot, so it will be destroyed by God.

  2. [Luke 9:41] One does not believe the true teaching word or he ministers to God but rejects the cross. He does not want to suffer with Jesus, so he deceives others and is deceived (losing the way to New Jerusalem and going to the hell).

    2 Timothy 3:13
3:13. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

  3. Experiencing Satan's deed or cruelty, namely throwing down and convulsing.
    Luke 9:42
9:42. And as he was still coming, the demon threw him downand convulsedhim. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child, and gave him back to his father.

Throwing down means making suffering physically and spiritually.
Convulsing means making worry, stress, disappointment, and despair to cause one to leave God.
The face becomes gloomy and without any hope.

Luke 9:37
9:37. Now it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitudemet Him.

There are many people at the foot of the mountain (a great multitude) more than the ones on the mountain (Jesus, James, Peter and John).
Beware! Many people are slump and destroyed more than the holy and glorious ones.

The way out against the situation at the foot of the mountain is as follows:

  1. Meeting Jesus.
    Luke 9:37

9:37. Now it happened on the next day, when they had come down from the mountain, that a great multitude met Him.

    John 12:20-21
12:20. Now there were certain Greeks among those who came up to worship at the feast.
12:21. Then they came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, "Sir, we wish to see Jesus."

The Gentiles must meet Jesus. It means we have to minister truly and earnestly, namely the ministry that prioritizes the true teaching word and the cross (suffering in the flesh with Jesus).

  2. We have to cry out, namely praying and worshipping God.
    Luke 9:38
9:38. Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, "Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child.

The true ministry will increase our spirituality until we can worship God (ascending to the mountain).

    Psalms 24:3-4
24:3. Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place?
24:4. He who has clean hands and
a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.

The term to worship God is we have to live in holiness.
We must experience purification that is started from the heart.

    Matthew 15:19
    15:19. "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts(1), murders(2), adulteries(3), fornications(4), thefts(5), false witness(6), blasphemies(7).

The heart must be purified from seven wicked and unclean desires, so it becomes pure.
The deed and word are purified too, so we can worship God.

    Matthew 5:8
5:8. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

Worshipping God means our eyes only see Him, our mouth cries out, and our hand is stretched out to Him. We totally surrender to God and His hand will be stretched out to us. We live in the hand of God.

    The results are as follows:

    1. Being strong and of good courage or not being moved.
      Psalms 16:8
16:8. I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

We are not disappointed or desperate and do not leave God no matter the thing that is happening to us.
We keep ministering faithfully and fervently. We keep worshipping God and living in righteousness and holiness.

    2. God's hands are stretched out to fight for us.
      2 Chronicles 20:12
20:12. "O our God, will You not judge them? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You."

If we keep the righteousness and holiness, everything will be easy, because God's hands fight for us.

God gives victory over all impossible problems just in time.

    3. We experience the biggest miracle, namely the renewal of life from carnal men to spiritual ones.
Starting from fallen countenance to beaming face.
God gives the beautiful and successful future. Until when Jesus comes a second time, we are changed to become perfect. We are worthy to greet Jesus' second coming.

God blesses us.
