Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Revelation 10:1-4
10:1 I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.
10:2 He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
10:3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices.
10:4 Now when the seven thunders uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them."

The appearances of Jesus with seven lights of glory are as follows:

  • [Revelation 10:1] Being clothed with a cloud.
  • [Revelation 10:1] A rainbow is on the head.
  • [Revelation 10:1] The face is like the sun.
  • [Revelation 10:1] The feet are like pillars of fire.
  • [Revelation 10:2] Having a little book open in His hand.
  • [Revelation 10:2] Setting the right foot on the sea and the left foot on the land.
  • [Revelation 10:3] Crying out with a loud voice as when a lion roars.

ad. 7. Crying out with a loud voice as when a lion roars

The voice of the roaring lion refers to the prophecy word or the word of God which reveals all things which have not happened yet, but they will happen for sure, especially about the second coming of Jesus in the glory as the King of all kings and the Heavenly Bridegroom while the condemnation of God Is also happening in the world, namely the three times of the seven condemnations, the doomsday, and the hell forever.

The voice of the roaring lion also refers to the seven thunders which uttered their voices or the word of God which reveals sins up to the peak that are hidden, rebukes hardly, and gives exhortation.

Actually, the prophecy word is being sealed [Revelation 10:4] and none knows the revelation. We can hear the prophecy word although it is hard and sharp because of the mercy of God for us.

1 Corinthians 14:3
14:3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.

The functions of the prophecy word, the voice of the roaring lion, or the seven thunders are as follows:

  1. Comforting men especially in facing the following two things:

    • The suffering with Jesus especially in the service, ministry, and following God.
      2 Corinthians 1:3-6
1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
1:4 who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
1:6 Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

So, we can be patient in suffering. We do not complain, murmur, or get disappointed but always give thanks to God. We can be patient in waiting the time of God or we do not take a solution outside the word of God. We do not hope other things but only God.

    • The sorrow because the people whom we love passed away.
      1 Thessalonians 4:13, 16-18
4:13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.
4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
4:18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

So, we are neither disappointed nor hopeless, but keep on giving thanks to God. We can also repent and Seriously follow God.

  2. Revealing the wrong things, rebuking, and exhorting.
    2 Timothy 4:2
4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

The content of the teaching word is as follows:

    • Revealing the wrong things with all longsuffering repetitively so that men realize, regret, and confess sins, so they are forgiven and not condemned.

    • Rebuking men so that they repent, stop sinning, and return to God.
When men still repeat and keep the sins, the reproof of the word will be harder. If men receive the word, they will be set free from sins, but if they reject the word, they will fall from the true teaching word.

    • Exhorting. It refers to the leading hand of God, so we will still be in the rail of the will of God.
In the rail of the will of God is the safest place, so we cannot be disturbed by anyone.
The exhortation of the word is the solution of all impossible problems up to the way to heaven.

  3. Speaking edification.
    1 Corinthians 14:3
14:3 But he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men.

    The meanings are as follows:

    • Sanctifying us from the root of all sins or the root of wicked, unclean, and bitter sins, so we can be more blessed to give than to receive.
      Acts 20:32-35
20:32 "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
20:33 "I have coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel.

20:34 "Yes, you yourselves know that these hands have provided for my necessities, and for those who were with me.
20:35 "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

It begins from returning the things that belong to God, namely the tithes and the special offerings. We can give joyfully, not by force, to the work of God (time, energy, finance, and thought) and the people who are in need. It continuous until we can give our whole life to God.

If we can give our life to God, He will give the ministry and the gifts of Holy Spirit or the beautiful tunic, so our life becomes beautiful.

    • We are used in the revival of the edification of the perfect body of Christ or the revival at the later rain.
The ministry of edification of the body of Christ begins from the marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding, until Israelites and Gentiles become one perfect body of Christ and the heavenly bride who is ready to welcome Jesus on the glorious clouds.

When we are used in the ministry of the edification of the body of Christ, we are putting Jesus as the Head. We trust and entrust ourselves fully only to Jesus who has died on the mountain of skull.

The facts and the results of putting Jesus as the Head are as follows:

      • Being silent and calm.
        Isaiah 30:14-15
30:14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter's vessel, Which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare. So there shall not be found among its fragments A shard to take fire from the hearth, Or to take water from the cistern."
30:15 For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength." But you would not.

Being silent means doing the introspection in our life through the sharpness of the sword of the word. If we find sin, we must confess it to God and other people. After being forgiven, do not do the sin anymore. When we do not find sin, we must keep silent. We repent and live in righteousness, so we are saved and neither thrown nor condemned.

Being calm means controlling ourselves and not worrying. We do not get disappointed and hopeless, and hope on other people. We keep on believing and hoping God, so we can pray.

Repenting and praying refer to stretching our hand to God, so He will stretch out His merciful hand to do the following things:

        • Healing all things which have broken to become good again; even better.
        • Calming the storm of the sea of the world, so all problems are finished until the things which have been drowned like Jonah can be helped by God.

      • Being patient and persevering.
        James 5:10-11
5:10 My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.
5:11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord--that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

We can be patient in waiting the time of God and persevere in doing the three main services to God.
Being patient and persevering are the same as stretching our hand to God, so He stretches out His compassionate and merciful hand to perform the miracle of the life renewal.

        2 Corinthians 4:16-18
4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
4:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We are strong and a good courage. We only look at God.
        Acts 27:33-36
27:33 And as day was about to dawn, Paul implored them all to take food, saying, "Today is the fourteenth day you have waited and continued without food, and eaten nothing.
27:34 "Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you."
27:35 And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat.
27:36 Then they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves
        .

If we are strong and courageous, a hair from our head will not fall. It means that God protects and preserves us who are small and powerless in the midst of difficulties in the world until the time when Antichrist rules over the world for three and a half years.

        1 Chronicles 19:13
19:13 "Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the LORD do what is good in His sight."

The merciful hand of God is able to make all things good, successful, and beautiful in due time.
        1 Thessalonians 3:13
3:13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

The merciful hand of God is able to perfect us to be worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds.

God blesses you.
