to coincide with Marriage Blessing Service

Mark 16 in the arrangement of Tabernacle refers to "Shekinah Glory". In Bible passage is about the Resurrection of Jesus. So the resurrection of Jesus produces the light of glory.

In Mark 16:9-14, the light of glory/ resurrection of Jesus shone 3 groups as follows:
  1. Verse 9-11, Mary Magdalene
  2. Verse12-13, two men who were walking to Emmaus
  3. Verse14, the 11 apostles.
ad. 2. Two men who were walking to Emmaus

Mark 16:12-13
16:12 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country.
16:13
And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.

Lukas 24:17-21
24:17 And He said to them, "What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?"
24:18
Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, "Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?"
24:19
And He said to them, "What things?" So they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,
24:20
"and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him.
24:21
"But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.

Two men who were walking to Emmaus refer to hopeless and desperate lives =losing heart.
If we are losing heart, our faces look sad and unhappy.

Losing-heart attitude affects 3 things as follows:
  1. To a life that has depression/ difficult time/ temptation.

    Proverbs 24:10

24:10. If you faint in the day of adversity, Your strength is small.

Temptations/ problems often cause the child of God to become desperate, disappointed, losing-heart, so they seek for other solutions against the Word. For example : going to witch-doctor, doing sin, until doing suicide, etc.
Living with losing-heart makes her/his face looks sad/sullen. If this is continued, they will perish and deny Jesus.

The solution that is against Jesus is not solution but a dead-end and doom.

  2. To a life that ministers God.

    2 Corinthians 4:1
4:1. Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.

Many lives that minister God and become losing-hearted because of having something else (study, partner, etc), it is ended with leaving ministry. It is same as rebellious people.
Being losing-hearted makes our faces sad/sullen and we will be in doom if we are not helped.

  3. To marriage life of human/child of God.

    Colossians 3:21
3:21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.

Generally, Marriage in the world is only having happiness (wine) of the world, such as richness, occupation/position, having sex, etc. But this happiness did not last long. The beginning is sweet, then less sweet, until sour/losing-heart, even becoming bitter up to feel in Hell.

The condition of the losing-hearted marriage can be described as follows:
    • Marriage that out of wine, there were only sour and bitter feelings.
    • Unsalted salt, meaning not good feeling, always feeling tired/labored and heavy laden.

Salt is also useful to prevent rottenness. The unsalted salt will lead our lives in sins up to the peak of sins that is eating-drinking sins (smoking, getting drunk, gambling, drugs abuse) andmarrying-giving in marriage sins (sexuality sins with all its varieties, including wrong marriage).

From the beginning of marriage, and the journey of marriage, we must keep becoming salty salt so there is no rottenness.

Husband is the head, Wife is the body. Divorced marriage is marriage in spiritual death.
Being married again after being divorced means being rotten and broken.

Jesus has died upon the cross and arisen to shine human marriage in order not to become losing-heart, but
becoming the salty salt and having sweet wine even the sweetest one.

The process to become the salty salt is as follows:

    Mark 9:49-50
9:49 "For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
9:50 "Salt is good, but if the salt loses its flavor, how will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace with one another."

The process is HAVING PEACEthat is confessing and forgiving each other.
Confessing to God and neighbor in earnest and if it is forgiven, do not do it anymore.
Forgiveness is to forgive and forget sins of others, not speaking about the sins again.
If sin has been solved, we will feel peace.

Living in peace is being the salty salt as follows:
    • Face becomes radiant, everything's good and easy.
If it's good and easy, marriage will never be divorced, it will last forever.
    • When salt is salty, there is no rottenness and marriage is in righteousness and holiness.
    • Demons were conquered, meaning God is capable to solve all temptations, problems, tears. God is capable to make everything good, even the bad ones.

      Romans 16:20.
16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

In marriage, there must be confessing and forgiving each others.
If they're blaming each other, there will be demons/evil to destroy the marriage.

The processes of receiving sweet wine are as follows:

    John 2:1-3

2:1. On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
    2:2
Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
    2:3
And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."

    • Marriage must invite Jesusas the source of sweet wine up to the sweetest one.
      Meaning:
      1. The beginning of marriage must be brought to Jesus.
The requirement to be in marriage is being holy and match. Matching means being in one faith and one baptism.
      2. Marriage must be brought into the shepherded, being faithful in ministry/ service.
It is like the branch attached to the true vine. If we're faithfully attached to the true vine, we will bear sweet fruit.

    • Filling 6 waterpots: 3 waterpots are the body-soul-spirit of husband, another 3 are the body-soul-spirit of wife. It must befilled by the water of shepherding Word.

      John 2:6-7
2:6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece.
      2:7
Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.

It is by hearing the Word in earnest, understanding the Word, and having faith to the Word.

    • Drawing out some wine that is the practices of the Word according to the ability that God has given.

      John 2:8-10
2:8 And He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it
      2:9
When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
      2:10
And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"

God did not ask much, but only some of it. We must practice the Word although we need to sacrifice anything, including our hearts.
When we are obedient to the Word, there will be a miracle.

The spiritual miracle is the renewal of life that is begins with no lies.
In the marriage, there must be no lies, even from the beginning, because lie causes bitter marriage.
If there is honesty, the marriage will be beautiful and happy.

If there is a spiritual miracle, there must be a physical miracle.

      Revelation 3:8

3:8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.

Until the Jesus' second coming, we're renewed to become as glorious as God, up to entering the marriage supper of the Lamb of God, drinking the sweetest wine.
Every moment we're renewed, the marriage becomes sweeter, up to the sweetest that is being in the glorious cloud with Jesus forever.
God blesses us.
