Luke 5:35-39
5:35. "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them; then they will fast in those days."
5:36. Then He spoke a parable to them: "No one puts a piece from a new garmenton an old one; otherwise the new makes a tear, and also the piece that was taken out of the new does not match the old.
5:37. "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.
5:38. "But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved.
5:39. "And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is better.’"
The right fasting isgiving greater opportunity to the Word in the anointing of Holy Spirit to purify us that we can see and worship God.
The time to fast is when there is separation between us and Jesus. It means as follows:
So, the purpose of fasting is to be one with God until we become one with Him forever when He comes a second time on the glorious clouds.
Renewal is the result of fasting, from flesh men to spiritual one like Jesus.
There are two kinds of renewal as follows:
The usefulnesses of Holy Spirit are as follows:
God blesses us.

- When we face unfinished problems.
This condition is like Jesus on the mountain and the disciples face an epileptic at the foot of the mountain. Epilepsy is a disease that cannot be cured. - When Jesus ascends to the Heaven until He comes a second time.
So, the purpose of fasting is to be one with God until we become one with Him forever when He comes a second time on the glorious clouds.
Renewal is the result of fasting, from flesh men to spiritual one like Jesus.
There are two kinds of renewal as follows:
- The renewal of garment, renewal of behavior.
We have to be alert, so that there is no filthy and spotted garment. Do not wear old garment (patchwork clothing) and fall and rise in sin. - The renewal of wineskins, namely renewal of heart.
Luke 5:37-39
5:37. "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.

5:39. "And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is better.’"
James 3:11-12
3:11. Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitterfrom the same opening?
3:12. Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt waterand fresh.
The old heart contains the things as follows:- fresh water, namely losing heart, being disappointed and desperate, pride and arrogance.
- bitter water, namely wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking.
Ephesians 4:31
4:31. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. - salt water, namely sins of wickedness and uncleanness.
James 3:12
3:12. Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.
The sin of wickednessis the love of money, namely stinginess (one cannot give) and greediness (robbing others' right and God's right, namely tithes and special offering).
The sin of uncleanness is sin of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
If wickedness and uncleanness sins exist in our heart, we will be guided to sin of Babylon namely perfection in the wickedness and uncleanness, the bride of Satan that will perish forever.
Revelation 18:2
18:2. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!
By fasting, we experience renewal of wineskins, namely renewal of heart, so it contains the new wine, namely Holy Spirit. There is new wine because Jesus drinks old wine that makes us bitter on the cross.
John 19:29
19:29. Now a vessel full of sour winewas sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
The task of Jesusis to drink old wine.
The task of usis to change the wineskins.
Luke 5:39
5:39. "And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is better.’"
Young people, you have to be watchful!There are lots of people who do not want to drink the new wine but choose the old one and harden their heart, keep the lust, desire and satisfaction of flesh. Consequently, they do not experience the new wine and they will be left when Jesus comes a second time and perish forever. - fresh water, namely losing heart, being disappointed and desperate, pride and arrogance.
The usefulnesses of Holy Spirit are as follows:
- Holy Spirit pours out the love of God that we are strong and of good courage. We are not disappointed but always trust and hope in God and thank to Him. In addition, we have faithfulness and fervency in ministry.
Romans 5:5
5:5. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spiritwho was given to us. - Holy Spirit gives joy and power of Heaventhat we are happy even in sorrow, we have the joy of Heaven that cannot be influenced by the world.
Acts 13:50-52
13:50. But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, raised up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.
13:51. But they shook off the dust from their feet against them, and came to Iconium.
13:52. And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. - Holy Spirit changes us.There is spiritual miracle or the biggest one.
Titus 3:5
3:5. not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
If the spiritual miracle happens, surely the physical one will also happen. God creates something that does not exist yet, impossible things become possible and He takes away our failure. For example, Peter who fails to get fish, but God can change it into getting lots of fish.
We experience the renewal of life up to being as glorious as Jesus, we meet Him on the clouds. We go to the New Jerusalem and drink new wine forever.
God blesses us.
