Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 22:7-17 is about the seven warnings, rebukes, or pieces of advice to the church on the last days.
The first warning is about the joy.
Revelation 22:722:7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book." The joy is something that is desired, looked for, and fought the most by men in the world, including Christians. Nevertheless, men are often wrong in looking for the joy in the world; even they look for it through committing sin. Consequently, there is no joy, but suffering and perdition. They also look for the joy in the service to God, namely when they are singing, and so on, but getting bored when hearing the Word.
Therefore, God warns that the joy is related to hearing and obeying the Word. It brings the joy in the world up to the eternal one in heaven.
Revelation 1:3 1:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.[Revelation 22:7] There will be no opportunity anymore for reading and hearing the Word someday because we must obey the Word already until it is ingrained in our life at that time.
Matthew 12:50 12:50 "For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother." We become the family of God.
1 Timothy 3:153:15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. The process of the family of the flesh's being the one of God is as follows:
- Learning from the family of Noah, namely being in one ark.
Genesis6:18
6:18 "But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark -- you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.
Formerly, the family of Noah was saved because of being in one ark.
1 Peter3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
The ark of Noah refers to the true water baptism.
Thus, we must be in the one true water baptism in order to be the family of God.
Romans6:2, 4
6:2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The requirement is believing in Jesus and repenting or being dead to sin.
It is done through being buried in water with Jesus and raised from the burial of water with Him, so the heavens are opened. We get the new life, namely the heavenly one.
Matthew3:16
3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of Goddescending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
We get the baptism of Holy Spirit.
Genesis8:12
8:12 So he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, which did not return again to him anymore.
We live in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
Genesis6:9
6:9 This is the genealogy of Noah. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations. Noah walked with God.
The facts found in it are as follows:
- Living in righteousness.
- Being sincere and honest.
- Walking with God or serving and ministering to Him in faithfulness and righteousness.
Proverbs 10:2-3
10:2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
10:3 The LORD will not allow the righteous soul to famish, But He casts away the desire of the wicked.
The result is salvation. We do not perish, but have the eternal life. We are blessed up to our descendants and we become blessings for others.
- Learning from Abraham, namely being in one tent.
Genesis18:1-2, 6
18:1 Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.
18:2 So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw them, he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,
18:6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, "Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes."
Hebrews11:9-10
11:9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
11:10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Abraham and the family were in one tent, except Esau who went out of the tent for hunting the meat. As a result, they entered Canaan or the eternal heavenly kingdom.
Thus, we must be in one spiritual tent or shepherding pen in order to become the family of God.
The activities in the shepherding pen are as follows:
- Making ready three measures of fine meal, kneading it, and making cakes as well as preparing a calf. It refers to the perseverance in committing the Bible Study Service with the Holy Communion.
Genesis18:6-7
18:6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, "Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes."
18:7 And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.
- Setting the cake and the calf which had been prepared before them. It refers to the ordination offerings or the perseverance in committing the General Service.
Genesis18:8
18:8 So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.
Exodus29:1-3
29:1 "And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish,
29:2 "and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil (you shall make them of wheat flour).
29:3 "You shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams.
- The intercession prayer of Abraham or the perseverance in committing the Prayer Service.
Genesis18:20-21
18:20 And the LORD said, "Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave,
18:21 "I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know."
Genesis18:23-24, 26, 28-32
18:23 And Abraham came near and said, "Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
18:24 (1)"Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it?
18:26 So the LORD said, "If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes."
18:28 (2)"Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?" So He said, "If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it."
18:29 And he spoke to Him yet again and said, (3)"Suppose there should be forty found there?" So He said, "I will not do it for the sake of forty."
18:30 Then he said, "Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: (4)Suppose thirty should be found there?" So He said, "I will not do it if I find thirty there."
18:31 And he said, "Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: (5)Suppose twenty should be found there?" So He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty."
18:32 Then he said, "Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: (6)Suppose ten should be found there?" And He said, "I will not destroy it for the sake of ten."
Abraham prayed and worshiped until six times. The number six refers to the fleshly man because man was created on the sixth day. Thus, the worship prayer refers to the tearing of flesh until we can lift up the sweet-smelling aroma before God. Lot and his family could be saved.
Do not speak too much, but keep silent or worship God much more!
Acts10:1-2, 4
10:1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of what was called the Italian Regiment,
10:2 a devout man and one who feared God with all his household, who gave alms generously to the people, and prayed to God always.
10:4 And when he observed him, he was afraid, and said, "What is it, lord?" So he said to him, "Your prayers and your alms have come up for a memorial before God.
The results of being shepherded are as follows:
- Being protected from the heat of the temptation in the world and sin.
Genesis18:1
18:1 Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.
As a result, we are not brittle, dry, or destroyed.
- Sarahwas barren and in menopause, but she could give birth to Isaac.
Genesis18:14
18:14 "Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."
God is able to open the doors in the world or solve all impossible problems. He is able to open the door of the womb.
- Being blessed up to the descendants and being the blessings for others. It means rejoicing.
We are shepherded until being without blemish. We have the holiness of the bride for entering the heavenly kingdom. But, Esau was out of the tent because of pursuing the flesh until weeping and perishing.
- Learning from the family of Rahab, who belongs to the Gentiles. She was also a harlot.
James2:25-26
2:25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlotalso justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?
2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
Rahab hid the two spies when the Israelites were on their last journey to enter Canaan.
It means that the Gentiles and the family must be active in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain or the edification of the body of Christ like a donkey whom Jesus sat to go to Jerusalem.
The requirement is that the donkey must be tied to the true Vine, namely being shepherded to the true teaching Word until we get the sanctification from the sins of Gentiles as follows:
- The swine or the sin of uncleanness, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage. It is sanctified, so our deeds are holy.
- The dog licking vomit or the meaningless words such as lies, gossips, slanders, and blasphemies. It is sanctified, so our words can be holy.
- Worry.
Matthew6:31-34
6:31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'
6:32 "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
It refers to the worry about the daily and future life. It is sanctified until we can prioritize the service and ministry to God. We can believe and entrust our life or surrender fully to God.
As a result, the donkey or Gentiles can be used in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain like Rahab and her family.
Joshua 2:18-19
2:18 "unless, when we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cordin the window through which you let us down, and unless you bring your father, your mother, your brothers, and all your father's household to your own home.
2:19 "So it shall be that whoever goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood shall be on his own head, and we will be guiltless. And whoever is with you in the house, his blood shall be on our head if a hand is laid on him.
We get the line of scarlet cord, namely the blood of Jesus or the sacrifice of Christ on the cross to be bound at the door of our heart, the door of our household, the door of the shepherding, and so on. As a result, God becomes the Head of our life.
The power of the sacrifice of Christ gives us the guarantee of assurance for the salvation of our family. We are protected from accident, disaster, the Antichrist, and the punishment up to the hell.
Romans 8:32
8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
Matthew 6:33
6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
The power of the sacrifice of Christ is able to give the guarantee of assurance for the preservation of our physical and spiritual life abundantly. We can give thanks and become blessings for others.
Ephesians 2:13-15
2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
2:15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
The power of the sacrifice of Christ gives guarantee of assurance for us to be united in the marriage, shepherding, fellowship, until Israel and Gentiles become one perfect body of Christ. We are in one heart, one teaching Word, one voice of worship and we become the house of prayer. There is nothing impossible for God.
Moreover, the dead and alive will be united to be the one perfect body of Christ for welcoming Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
God blesses you.
