General Service in Malang, May 12, 2019 (Sunday Morning)
Peace
and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 9:11
9:11
And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit,
whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name
Apollyon.
A
king over the locusts or sins is the angel of the bottomless pit,
Abaddon, or Apollyon. So, the sin has king or head, namely the
angel of the bottomless pit, Abaddon, or Apollyon. The angel of
the bottomless pit, Abaddon, or Apollyon rules over
men, including
the servant and minister of God to do sins up to the peak. Being
bound by the sins up to the peak, ones cannot
be easily
set free until they cannot be set free from sins. In consequence,
they experience
the torment or the sting of the scorpions for five months until
perishing forever.
To be set free from the angel of the
bottomless pit, Abaddon, or Apollyon as the king of sins up to the
peak, we must put Jesus as the head.
Matthew
8:18-20 8:18
And when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to
depart to the other side. 8:19 Then a certain scribe came and
said to Him, "Teacher, I will follow You wherever You go."
8:20
And Jesus said to him, "Foxes
have holes and birds
of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His
head."
Jesus
wants us to put Him as the Head, but the fact is that He groans
because many people,
including
the servant and minister of God put the foxes and birds,
Abaddon, or
Apollyon as the Head, so they live in suffering until perishing
forever.
How is the way to put Jesus as the head over our
life? We must increase our following God through the preaching of
the word of God. It starts from the Gospel Word to bring us to
trust Jesus and be
saved. It continues to the teaching word to sanctify and perfect us.
The increasing of following
God is as follows:
-
The
following of the children to the father. But, there is still the
lost one.
-
The
following of the sheep to the shepherd. But, there is still the lost
one.
-
The
following of the of the student to the teacher. But, it can be
separated.
-
The
following to Jesus wherever He goes. It refers to the one of the
body to the head or the bride.
The
fact found in
the following of the bride is that we must be active in edifying the
perfect body of Christ. It starts from the marriage
that the
husband can love the wife, the wife can be submissive to the husband,
and the children can obey the parents. It continues to the
shepherding, inter-shepherding pen, until Israelites and Gentiles
become one perfect body of Christ.
Who can be used in edifying
the perfect body of Christ?
- A
woman who was a sinner could serve to God when she willingly
heard
the hard word which pointed out her sin, so she could realize,
regret it, and repent. As a result, the rotten things turned
into
sweet smelling aroma and the bad ones
became
good.
Luke
7:37-39 7:37
And behold,
a woman in the city who was a sinner,
when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee's house,
brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil. 7:38 and stood at
His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her
tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His
feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil. 7:39 Now when the
Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he spoke to himself, saying,
"This man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner
of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner."
- Joseph
of Arimathea
or the rich man and Nicodemus or the smart man.
John
19:38-39 19:38
After this, Joseph
of Arimathea,
being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly, for fear of the Jews, asked
Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave
him permission. So he came and took the body of Jesus. 19:39
AndNicodemus,
who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture
of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds.
The
ministry of the edifying of the perfect body of Christ is the same as
the fellowship or eating together to consume
the true teaching word. So, the true fellowship must be based on
the true teaching word.
The ministry of edifying the perfect
body of Christ is like crossing the worldly sea to the peaceful
harbor or the New Jerusalem. It means as follows:
- It
is the command of God which must be obeyed.
Matthew
8:18 8:18
And when Jesus saw great multitudes about Him, He gave a command to
depart to the other side.
Not
obeying the command means not doing
the sin.
- It
is a sacrifice.
John
2:19-21 2:19
Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple, and in
three days I will raise it up." 2:20 Then the Jews said,
"It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and will
You raise it up in three days?" 2:21
But He was speaking of the temple of His body.
Three
days refer to the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Jesus as the
head sacrifices His life first on the cross for the edifying of His
perfect body. So, there is the destroying of the service in the law
system which is signified by
the
number forty-six. It is only for Israelites.
It is destroyed and rebuilt to become the system in the
grace of God, so the Gentiles can serve and minister to Him.
The
thing which we sacrifice for edifying the perfect body of Christ is
not balance with His sacrifice on the cross. Therefore, we must
sacrifice all things for edifying the perfect body of Christ, except
one thing, namely the true teaching word, because it is Jesus as the
head. The marriage and
the shepherding without
the true teaching word will be broken and terrible. Do not be
doubtful to sacrifice all things for edifying the body of Christ
when we are moved by the true teaching word to do it. Everything
which we sacrifice will not be useless, even we meet God the Jehovah
Jireh.
- Facing
the challenge
and hindrance
from Abaddon and Apollyon or the angel of the bottomless pit with
the power of death.
There are three kinds of challenges and
hindrances as follows:
- The
foxes and birds or the wicked and unclean spirits which aim at the
edifying of the Babylon or the woman of Satan who will be destroyed
forever.
Matthew
8:20 8:20
And Jesus said to him, "Foxes
have holes and birds
of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His
head."
Revelation
18:2 18:2
And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the
great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling
place
of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every
unclean and hated bird!
To
face the foxes and birds, we must receive the true teaching word
which is sharper than any two-edged sword and obey it, so we
experience the sanctification which
begins
from the heart as the dwelling place of the wicked and unclean
spirits.
Mark
7:21-23 7:21
"For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil
thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 7:22
"thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil
eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. 7:23
"All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
The
heart of man consists of twelve wicked and unclean desires and the
bitterness. If one
is willingly
sanctified by the true teaching word, the heart will be filled with
twelve loaves
or the word which will sanctify
our life repetitively.
It continuous to the sanctification
from the deeds of sin up to the peak, so we only do the holy and
good ones which please God and other people. Then
it continues to the
sanctification to the marriage, so it becomes righteous, holy, and
one. Finally,
the
sanctification to the mouth
happens, so
we can say yes if yes and no if no and there is no lie
anymore.
So, Jesus will dwell in our life. It means that He
is responsible over our life.
- The
dead body.
Matthew
8:21-22 8:21
Then another of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, let me
first go and bury my father." 8:22 But Jesus said to him,
"Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead."
The
signs are as follows:
- One
is not faithful in serving and ministering to God; even he leaves
it.
- One
does not change,
but keeps
the
sinful fleshly man that is rotten, broken and perishing.
2
Timothy 3:1-5 3:1
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. 3:2
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters,
proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3:3
unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal,
despisers of good, 3:4
traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than
lovers of God, 3:5
having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such
people turn away!
Although
one serves to God, but
if
he rejects its power, namely the sword of the word of God and the
cross,
he will not
change,
but keep
the fleshly man with eighteen characteristics of the flesh which
start from being egoistic or having
no
love to other people until he does not obey the word or having
no
love of God. His life will be stamped with 666 and he becomes the
same as Antichrist.
The true teaching word and the cross are
able to change us from the fleshly man to the spiritual one like
Jesus, so we can obey and love God more than anything. If we can
love God, we can also love other people.
- The
winds and waves in the midst of the sea of the world.
Matthew
8:23-27 8:23
Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. 8:24
And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat
was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 8:25
Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord,
save us! We are perishing!" 8:26
But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little
faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and
there was a great calm. 8:27
So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the
winds and the sea obey Him?"
The
wind refers to the false teaching, gossip, and slander. It makes
man lose the direction to the New Jerusalem. The waves refer to
the sins up to the peak, namely the sins of eating-drinking and the
sins of marrying-being given in marriage. It also refers to the
impossible problems in all aspects. The winds and waves are
blown by Abaddon and Apollyon with the power of death to drown the
boat of our life, so we depart
from faith
and do not reach the harbor of peace or the New Jerusalem.
1
Peter 1:6-7 1:6
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if
need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 1:7 that the
genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that
perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise,
honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
God
permits the winds and waves to come as trials of faith so that our
faith increases until it is the same as the pure gold, so we can
welcome His second coming and enter the New Jerusalem,
whose way is made of
gold.
Matthew
8:24 8:24
And suddenly
a
great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with
the waves. But He was asleep.
The
winds and waves come suddenly. There are three things which must be
paid attention to as follows:
- Jesus
must always dwell in the boat of our life.
The
matter of the
boat is drowned or not does not depend on how big the boat is or
the waves but on
the matter whether there
is Jesus in it or not.
Jesus must always dwell in our life.
It means that we must always
be in the
service and ministry to God. Revelation
17:14 17:14
"These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will
overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and
those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful."
- Do
not be afraid or doubtful.
Matthew
8:26 8:26
But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little
faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and
there was a great calm.
Being
fearful and doubtful is the greatest
wave
which can drown
ones into the sea of the world and the sea of the fire and
brimstone or hell forever.
Revelation
21:8 21:8
"But
the cowardly, unbelieving,
abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and
all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire
and brimstone, which is the second death."
Matthew
14:29-31 14:29
So He said, "Come." And when Peter had come down out of
the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 14:30
But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and
beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
14:31
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and
said to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"
If
a pastor is doubtful, the whole congregation will be drowned. If
a father is doubtful, the whole marriage will be drowned.
Mark
9:22-24 9:22
"And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the
water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion
on us and help us." 9:23
Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are
possible to him who believes." 9:24
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears,
"Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!"
If
one is doubtful, his child will
be
epileptic.
Therefore, let us hope only to one true teaching
word from now.
John
11:39-40 11:39
Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister
of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there
is a stench, for he has been dead four days." 11:40
Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you would
believe you would see the glory of God?"
Martha
faced Lazarus who had died four days. If a woman or mother does
not believe God,
her marriage will be rotten. But, if we believe one true
teaching word, we will see the glory of God.
- The
source of help
for us
is only Jesus.
Matthew
8:24-25 8:24
And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat
was covered with the waves. But He was asleep. 8:25
Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord,
save us! We are perishing!"
Hebrews
2:14-18 2:14
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood,
He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He
might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
2:15
and release those who through fear of death were all their
lifetime subject to bondage. 2:16
For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid
to the seed of Abraham. 2:17
Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren,
that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things
pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the
people. 2:18
For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to
aid those who are tempted.
Jesus
has
died
and risen to set us free from death or Abaddon and Apollyon. He
can help us in due time. In the midst of the winds and waves,
let us surrender and cry out only to God. He will stretch His hand
to help us in due time. The thing which has been drowned will be
lifted up, the decreased thing will be healed, and the fallen
one will be helped. .
Psalms
107:30 107:30
Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to
their desired haven.
We
are sanctified and renewed to become honest, strong, and
courageous until we can welcome His second coming on the glorious
clouds and enter the harbor of peace or the New Jerusalem.
God
blesses you.
