General Service in Surabaya, April 27, 2014 (Sunday Evening)
Peace
and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Good evening and
happy Passover, let us hear the Word of God. Let the peace, grace,
and joy of God be in the midst of us abundantly.
Revelation
1: 13-16 =
the
appearance of Jesus Himself in four real manifestations (It
has been explained since Bible
Study Service in Surabaya, February 3, 2014):
- Revelation
1: 13
= Jesus appears in His glory as The
High Priest,
being clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the
chest with a golden band (It has been explained since Bible
Study Service in Surabaya, February 3, 2014).
- Revelation
1: 14
= Jesus appears in His glory as The
King of all kings,
whose head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His
eyes like a flame of fire (It has been explained since General
Service in Surabaya, February 23, 2014).
- Revelation
1: 15
= Jesus appears in His glory as The
Just Judge,
whose feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His
voice as the sound of many waters (It has been explained since Bible
Study Service in Surabaya, March 17, 2014).
- Revelation
1: 16
= Jesus appears in His glory as The
Heavenly Bridegroom,
the peak. We will never be separated from Him, but we are with Him
forever. (It has been explained since General
Service in Surabaya, March 30, 2014).
The
husband = the head = the Heavenly bridegroom. The wife = the body
= the Heavenly bride.
The
head cannot be separated with the body forever.
These
are the appearances of Jesus as the High Priest, the King of all
kings, the Just Judge, and the Heavenly bridegroom so we will never
be separated with Him forever.
Tonight,
we still discuss the fourth part, namely JESUS
APPEARS IN HIS GLORY AS THE HEAVENLY BRIDEGROOM.
Revelation
1: 16
1:
16. He
had in
His right hand seven stars,
out
of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword,
and His
countenance was
like the sun shining in its strength.
The
signs of Jesus as the Heavenly Bridegroom are as follows.
- He
had in His right hand seven stars (It has been explained since
General
Service in Surabaya, March 30, 2014),
- Out
of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword (It has been explained
since General
Service in Surabaya, April 06, 2014),
- His
countenance was like the sun shining in its strength (It has been
explained since Passover
Service in Surabaya, April 20, 2014).
Tonight,
we still discuss the third sign, that is His
countenance is like the sun shining in its strength.
His
countenance is like the sun shining in its strength = His countenance
is shining in the light of glory (Shekinah
Glory).
Where
can we see the countenance of Jesus that is like the sun shining in
its strength?
Matthew
17: 1-2 17:1.
Now
after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led
them up on
a high mountain
by themselves; 17:2
and
He
was transfigured before them.
His
face shone like the sun,
and His clothes became as white as the light.
In
the past, Peter, James, and John went up on a high mountain with
Jesus. There they could see the countenance of Jesus that shone like
the sun.
Now
it means that
we
can see the countenance of Jesus that is like the sun shining in its
strength in
a worship prayer.
We
must be careful because there is a true worship and a false one.
Revelation
13: 11-13
13:11.
Then
I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns
like
a lamb and spoke like a dragon.
13:12
And
he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence,
and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship
the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13:13
He
performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from
heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
"like
a lamb and spoke like a dragon"
= false teacher with false teachings.
"the
first beast"
= Revelation
13: 1
"a
beast rising up out of the sea"
= antichrist.
The
signs of a false worship are as follows.
- Being
driven by false teaching (false teacher).
- Leading
to worshiping antichrist with the mark 666.
- False
worship yields physical signs without
life renewal ("whose
deadly wound was healed").
The dead is raised refers
to life renewal.
Jesus has died as flesh man, but when He is raised, He is in the
body of glory or spiritual body.
Being
without life renewal
(without spiritual signs) means keeping being flesh man with the
mark 666 (the body, soul, and spirit are flesh) that will be
destroyed. The figure 6 refers to the flesh ("man
is created on the sixth day").
Let
us now worship God without being forced, but with
pleasure or joy.
If one feels forced to worship God, later he will be forced to
worship antichrist.
The
signs of a true worship are as follows.
- Being
encouraged by the true teaching Word in the anointing of Holy
Spirit.
Luke
9: 28 9:28.
Now
it came to pass, about eight days after
these sayings,
that He took Peter, John, and James and went
up on the mountain to pray.
Peter,
John, and James went up on the mountain to pray after receiving the
teaching.
The Word says "Father
is seeking for worshippers in spirit and truth"
= the true teaching Word in the anointing of Holy Spirit or the Word
that is sharper than any two-edged sword sanctifies our heart.
We
must not hear the Word that only contains jokes, but we must hear
the Word as the sword that pierces our heart.
Matthew
5: 8 5:8
Blessed
are
the
pure in heart,
For they
shall see God.
If
the
heart
as the store of sins is
sanctified
from evil desire (envy, revenge, anger) and unclean desire
(adultery), the
eyes will see God.
The
eyes see God
means worshiping Him, or seeing
His
countenance that is like the sun shining in its strength.
- It
must direct to worshiping Jesus as the King and Heavenly bridegroom
(the
peak of worship in the world).
Revelation
19: 6-7 19:6
And
I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of
many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying,
"Alleluia!
For
the Lord God
Omnipotent
reigns!
19:7
Let
us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the
Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
=
Jesus is the King of kings or Heavenly bridegroom and we are the
bride.
In the Old Testament (the book of Genesis), the Bible
is started with physical marriage between Adam and Eve. In the book
of Revelation, the Bible is closed with spiritual marriage between
Christ and the congregation.
Thus, the true worship must
direct to worshiping Jesus as the King and Heavenly bridegroom with
the saying "Alleluia".
Revelation
19: 1, 3-4 19:1.
After
these things I heard a loud voice of a
great multitude in heaven,
saying, "Alleluia!
Salvation and glory and honor and power belong
to the Lord our God! 19:3
Again
they said, "Alleluia!
Her smoke rises up forever and ever!" 19:4
And
the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and
worshiped
God who sat on the throne,
saying, "Amen! Alleluia!"
Why
do we worship with the saying "Alleluia"?
Because
the worship in the Heaven also uses the saying "Alleluia".
The true worship in the world must be the reflection
of the worship in the Heaven. The true ministry in the world must
also be the reflection
from the Heaven.
In the past, Moses went up on the Mount of Sinai and saw the
kingdom of Heaven. Afterwards, God commanded Moses to make the
kingdom of Heaven in the world, that is the Tabernacle
(Exodus
25).
The
Tabernacle consists of:
- the
Court, that refers to righteousness,
- the
Holy Place, that refers to holiness,
- the
Most Holy Place, that refers to perfection.
We
learn from Tabernacle how life
in the world can be the same as life in the Heaven.
Thus, we minister and worship God as in the Heaven (the reflection
of the Heaven). We
learn everything from the teaching of Tabernacle and Bride Tidings.
- It
is marked with life renewal
(it is marked with death and ressurection).
We
die from old life and resurrect in new life,
meaning we experience life renewal from flesh man to become
spiritual one as Jesus.
We will experience life renewal
through
worship
(seeing the countenance of Jesus that
is like the sun shining in its strength).
The sunshine will enter our life and the bad things will be thrown
out. We will be renewed little by little until we are perfect as
God.
In
the true worship, we can see the countenance of Jesus that
is like the sun shining in its strength,
so we experience renewal
starting from the five senses
(face). There are five senses in the face, that is eyes, ears, nose,
mouth, and skin.
The
practices of the renewal of five senses are as follows.
(tonight
we only discuss three senses: ears, eyes, and mouth)
- Renewal
of the ears.
John
10: 27-28 10:27
My
sheep hear
My voice,
and I know them, and they follow Me. 10:28
And
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall
anyone snatch them out of My hand.
"My
sheep hear My voice"
= "hear"
refers to the ears; "My
voice"
refers to the voice of the Shepherd or the shepherding Word.
The
practice of the ears being renewed is hearing
the Shepherding Word and obeying it
(practicing the Word in our daily life). Hearing = the first ear
(the right ear). Being obedient = the second ear (the left
ear). Hearing and obeying the shepherding Word means being
a shepherded sheep.
If the ears have been renewed, it will not be difficult to become a
shepherded sheep. If the ears have not been renewed (like to hear
gossips, et
cetera),
it will be difficult to be shepherded. The
position of the shepherded sheep (the one who hears and obeys the
Word) is
in the embrace of the Great Shepherd's hands.
If we live
inside the embrace of the Great Shepherd's hands, the
results are as follows.
- "I
give them eternal life, and they shall never perish"
means there is certainty guarantee from the Great Shepherd to care
our life now, in the future, up to eternal life.
Diploma and
riches cannot give guarantee to our life.
God
never fools us!
The Good Shepherd gives His life for the sheep (John
10: 11),
to
give certainty guarantee for us.
- "neither
shall anyone snatch them out of My hand"means
the hands of the Great Shepherd give us victory
over the enemy, solve our problems even the impossible one right on
His time.
The
most important thing is our position as the sheep,
not how heavy our problem is.
One
of the examples of shepherded lives is King
David.
About
God's caring, King David says "The
Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want".
David does not say "I
am a king, I shall not want".
David
won the battle with Goliath. David also won over a lion when he was
a shepherd (it
is the power of the shepherding).
David did not fight with his own hands when he was in the battle
with Goliath, but with the hands of the Great Shepherd.
The
ears that did not want to hear the Word, being sleepy when hearing
the Word, and being disobedient to the Word, must be renewed so we
can hear and obey the Word.
We have two ears (to hear and
obey). The Word consists of 10 laws. Hearing the Word = 10, being
obedient = 10. Hearing and obeying the Word = 10 X 10 = 100
(pass).
If one only hears (10), but does not obey (0) -->
10 X 0 = 0 (fail). If one hears (10), but disobeys (-1), and
disobeys again (-2) --> more disobediences mean going lower.
Do
not be unserious when hearing the Word!
It decides the destiny of our life. If we hear and obey the Word,
our destiny is clear in the hands of the Great Shepherd. When
we face difficulties in the world, we must repair our ears.
We ask God to illuminate our ears so we can hear and obey the Word.
- Renewal
of the eyes.
John
10: 31-32 10:31
Then
the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. 10:32
Jesus
answered them, "Many good works I
have shown
you
from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?"
"I
have shown you"
= it can be seen. It refers to the eyes. "Many
good works I have shown you from My Father"
= Jesus does not kill or harm the others. He even raises the dead
and heals the sick. If the eyes are not renewed, one will keep
blaming Jesus although He heals the sick, et
cetera.
The light of glory from His countenance illuminates our eyes
(the flesh sight), so our eyes will be renewed, that is being
able to see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ
(the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword).
2
Corinthians 4: 3-4 4:3
But
even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are
perishing, 4:4
whose
minds the god of this age has
blinded,
who do not believe, lest
the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is the image of God, should shine on them.
If
one is blind, he will not be able to see the light of the gospel of
the glory of Christ.
Paul the apostle divides the preaching
of the Word into two parts as follows.
- The
gospel of salvation
(Ephesians
1: 13)
= the
gospel Word =
Good
News,
that is the gospel that preaches Jesus' first coming to the world
to die on the cross and save sinful lives.
It is important
for the people who have not believed Jesus yet. For us who have
believed Jesus, we must firm the salvation.
The
signs of being saved are believing,
repenting, and being baptized in water and Holy Spirit, so we
receive new life, that is living
in righteousness.
After being saved and living in righteousness, one still can fall
in sins, therefore we need the sword that sanctifies us up to
perfection.
Paul the apostle calls the gospel of salvation
as milk/baby's
food.
If we have become Christians for a long time but still drink milk,
the growth will be abnormal. Therefore, there is the second type.
- The
light of the gospel of the glory of Christ
(2
Corinthians 4: 3-4)
= solid
food
= the
teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword
= Bride
Tidings,
that is the gospel that preaches Jesus' second coming in glory as
the King and Heavenly bridegroom to sanctify the saved one up to
perfection, being as glorious as Him and becoming the bride of God.
If
our eyes have been renewed, we will be able to see the light of the
gospel of the glory of Christ. It means we can receive and
understand the true teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged
sword, so our eyes can see the form of holiness up to perfection.
The
more we understand the Word, the more we will be sanctifified.
Our
sins are sanctified little by little until there is no more sin and
we are perfect on His second coming. Being
saved means living in righteousness.
But it must be continued with living in holiness,
that is our eyes can see the light of the gospel of the glory of
Christ. If we live in holiness, our
eyes can see the work of God
(His field).
John 10: 32 10:32
Jesus
answered them, "Many
good works I
have shown
you from My Father.
For which of those works do you stone Me?"
"Many
good works I have shown you from My Father"
= the work of God = God's field.
John
4: 35-36 4:35
Do
you not say, 'There are still four months and then
comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and
look
at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 4:36
And
he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life,
that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together.
"look
at the fields, for they are already white for harvest"
= the work of God = God's field.
If our eyes can see the
true teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword, or if
we are sanctified, our eyes will directly see the work of God. It
means
we
can be active in ministry.
For those who have not served
God, you must pray so the eyes can see the sword of the Word (being
sanctified) and His field.
There
are two types of ministry in His field as follows.
- Sowing.
Sowing is the work of the gospel of salvation. We testify and
preach about the gospel of salvation to bring sinful lives to
believe Jesus and be saved.
The sown seed will grow fast.
In a while, the quantity will increase.
If it is sown
continually but not reaped, there will be no meaning.
- Reaping.
We
testify and preach the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ
(the true teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword)
that chooses
saved lives to be sanctified until as perfect as God.
Thus,
our tasks are sowing and reaping. If there are many people within
our house, it is not by accident, but it is the trust from God so we
can testify.
Proverbs
20: 12 20:12.
The
hearing ear
and the seeing eye,
The
Lord has made them both.
"The
Lord has made them both"
= both are created or made by God. It refers to the
servant of God who is consecrated.
If there are two senses (EARS
and EYES)
that are renewed, it is already incredible.
In the book of
Isaiah, God complains "Hear,
you deaf;
And look, you blind".
It refers to the servant of God whose ears and eyes are disabled and
not renewed.
The
renewed ears and eyes
= the servant of God who is consecrated.
It
means
we are created specially by God to be used in the ministry of
building the perfect body of Christ or the bride of God (the
ministry of sowing and reaping).
The
field of God is as follows.
- It
is started from within marriage. If one is holy, he/she will be
able to minister well.
- The
husband and the wife who are holy, will be able to minister one
another well.
- Children
who are holy will obey the parents.
- In
the shepherding.
- Between
shepherding.
The
servant of God who is consecrated
will
be equipped by God with the creation
power.
- It
is to create the things that have not existed yet,
as God created the heaven and earth with all its contents.
The
creation power from having no fish to having fishes is to care
our life
(for financial
problem).
For the servants of God, there is creation power from having no
congregation to having many people as the congregation.
- It
is to create sweet wine from having no wine.
It is about marriage.
The marriage in this world generally has honeymoon period
(it is only sweet for one month). Afterwards, it is tasteless and
even bitter. It is the condition of marriage that needs to be
helped.
John
2: 1-3 2:1.
On
the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the
mother of Jesus was there. 2:2
Now
both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 2:3
And
when
they ran out of wine,
the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They
have no wine."
The
fact of marriage in the world is
running out of wine (the feast has not finished yet, but the wine
is finished). It refers to tasteless even bitter marriage, so there
is violence inside the marriage, dishonesty, even divorce.
Divorce
means
the head (husband) is separated from the body (wife), so the
marriage is dead and there are victims (husband, wife, children).
If one still marries the other after divorcing, it
becomes an adultery
(the marriage is rotten and will be destroyed).
The victims
of the first and second world war can be counted, but the victims
of tasteless, bitter, and broken marriage cannot be counted by
anyone.
If
a marriage has been unsteady and tasteless, even leads to
bitterness (there is no happiness), we must repair our ears and
eyes,
so our ears obey the shepherding Word and eyes see the sharp Word
(we return to sanctification and ministry).
If we serve God
with the aim to become holy and repent, it
is wrong.
The true one is our eyes must see the sword first (sanctification),
and then we can see the field of God. Do
not turn it over!
Let
us be specially used by God in the building of the body of Christ,
so that tasteless, bitter, and unclean marriage that leads to
Babylon can be helped and recovered by Him, until it reaches the
marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
We marry not only in
this world, but also until Jesus' second coming.
The
entrance gate to the world
(the
book of Genesis)
is physical marriage. It is as Adam and Eve got married, and then
men were born. It is also as our father and mother got married, so
we were born to this world. We do not stay forever in this
world, because it will be destroyed and we must go out. The
exit gate from the world
is through the marriage supper of the Lamb of God. It is the
spiritual marriage between Christ and the congregation.
We
must keep the entrance and exit gate,
meaning
we must keep the holiness and unity of the marriage, starting from
the beginning of marriage, the journey, up to the end of marriage
(until we enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God).
- Renewal
of the mouth.
John 10: 35-36 10:35
If
He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture
cannot be broken), 10:36
do
you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world,
'You are blaspheming,' because
I said,
'I am the Son of God'?
"because
I said"
refers to the mouth.
If the
ears
are not renewed, the
eyes
will not be renewed, and the
mouth
will also not be renewed. Thus one will get deaf
and dumb
(spiritual epilepsy).
Mark
9: 21-22, 25 9:21
So
He asked his father, "How
long has this been happening to him?"
And he said, "From
childhood.
9:22
And
often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to
destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and
help us." 9:25
When
Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the
unclean spirit, saying to it: "Deaf
and dumb spirit,
I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!"
"How
long has this been happening to him?"
= how long has he suffered from epilepsy and his body become rigid?
The epilepsy refers to uncleanness.
'From
childhood'
means epilepsy attacks since childhood (children and youth) up to
the old ones. It also attacks the healthy and the disabled one.
Therefore, we must pay attention to the children and bring them to
Sunday School. We must also pay attention to the youth so they are
serious in ministering God. The courtship period is the time to be
filled with the Word (the time to be active in ministry).
Mark
9: 18 9:18
And
wherever it seizes him, it
throws him down;
he
foams at the mouth,
gnashes
his teeth,
and becomes
rigid.
So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they
could not."
The
signs of suffering from epilepsy
are as follows.
- "he
foams at the mouth"
= dirty, evil, and unclean words, also lies.
If a
Christians starts to lie, everything that is dirty and unclean will
be there. Lie
is the entrance door
for everything that is dirty and unclean. Therefore, we must keep
our mouth not to lie.
If one does not lie, it is as closing
the door for evil and unclean things.
In James
3, it
is said
"If
anyone does not stumble in word, he is
a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body".
If the words are unclean, the whole body will be unclean (the deeds
are also unclean) until doing
the peak of sins.
- Sins
concerning eating-drinking:
smoking, getting drunk, consuming drugs.
- Sins
concerning marrying-being given in marriage:
sexuality sin with all its variety, sexuality deviation
(homosexual, lesbian, sexuality to oneself), wrong marriage.
It
means wallowing in sins, as a sow that has been washed but keeps
returning to her wallowing in the mire.
- "it
throws him down".
It is painful to be thrown down. It means experiencing physical
suffering.
- "gnashes
his teeth"
refers to spiritual suffering.
- "becomes
rigid"
means hardening
the heart,
and cannot be advised anymore.
The
example is
Pharaoh who hardened his heart to forbid the Israelites leaving
Egypt. As a consequence he received the judgment from God until
nothing left.
Philippians
2: 8-11 2:8
And
being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became
obedient to the
point of
death, even the death of the cross. 2:9
Therefore
God also has highly exalted Him and given
Him the name which is above every name, 2:10
that
at
the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of
those in heaven,
and of
those on earth,
and of
those under the earth,
2:11
and
that
every
tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
"of
those in heaven"
= Satan with evil and unclean spirit = the red dragon in heaven
(Revelation
12). "of
those on earth"
= false teaching = wild beast on earth (Revelation
13). "of
those under the earth"
=
antichrist = wild beast from the sea (Revelation
13: 1).
In
order to renew our mouth, Jesus must be obedient until He dies on
the cross, so He receives the name which is above every name to beat
Satan the Trinity that binds our mouth. The
mouth decides everything.
The bond of Satan the Trinity makes mouth say lies, slanders,
scorns, et
cetera.
If our mouth is set free from Satan the Trinity, it
will be used to confess our sins, testify, and worship God ("cry
out His name").
Mark
7: 37 7:37
And
they were astonished beyond measure, saying, "He
has done all things well. He makes both the deaf
to hear and the mute
to speak."
If
THE
EARS
and THE
MOUTH
are good,
God
will make everything good in His time.
God will give beautiful and successful future in His time.
James
3: 2 3:2
For
we all stumble in many things. If
anyone does not stumble in word,
he
is
a perfect man,
able
also to bridle the whole body.
We
have many faults from the top of our head to the sole of our feet,
but the most faults are from the tongue.
If the mouth is
renewed, it
will be renewed until it does not stumble in word
when Jesus comes a second time. We will become perfect as the bride
who is ready to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds
where there is only shout for joy with saying "Alleluia".
The left ones in the world (whose senses are disabled) will
groan in suffering and blaspheme God, while we will say "Alleluia".
Let
us keep our ears, eyes, and mouth,
because they decide the destiny of our life.
God
blesses us.
