Prayer Service in Malang, March 15, 2011 (Tuesday Evening)
To coincide with fasting prayer session III
Worship is the tearing of flesh process, so we experience the renewal of life.
Why does it need to be added with fasting prayer?
Fasting prayer accelerates/hastens the tearing of flesh process, so we experience the renewal of life from carnal men to spiritual men.
Running with Jesus' second coming that will happen soon, the tearing of flesh process and the renewal of life process are accelerated through fasting prayer so we can finish the process when Jesus comes on second time.
Mark 2:20-22
2:20. "But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days
2:21. "No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse.
2:22. "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins."
The right time for fasting is when the bridegroom is being taken away from us, which means:

- When we have unfinished problems.
- When Jesus is in Heaven and we are in earth/when we are being separated from God. We fast until Jesus comes on second time. Afterward, we will be lifted up on glorious clouds and we cannot be separated with God.
- Renewal of cloth.
The Spiritual meaning is renewal of our behavior that our behavior becomes true and holy. - Renewal of wineskins.
The Spiritual meaning is renewal of heart.
Three kinds of heart that must be renewed are:
- Cold heart.
Matthew 24:12
24:12. "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
Cold heart means there is no love but disobedience and lawlessness/rebellion. To be obedient really determines our live.
II Samuel 14:25-26
14:25. Now in all Israel there was no one who was praised as much as Absalom for his good looks. From the sole of his foot to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
14:26. And when he cut the hair of his head––at the end of every year he cut it because it was heavy on him––when he cut it, he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels according to the king’s standard.
Example of disobedient life was Absalom. Absalom refers to christian life who has good potential to reach success in the world.
But, Absalom didn't obey but rebelled against David.
'David' is description of physical parent, shepherd and Teaching Word.
II Samuel 18:9
18:9. Then Absalom met the servants of David. Absalom rode on a mule. The mule went under the thick boughs of a great terebinth tree, and his head caught in the terebinth; so he was left hanging between heaven and earth. And the mule which was under him went on.
Consequence of disobedience is being left hanging.
Through fasting prayer, rebellious/disobedient life will be changed to become obedient life/love God more than everything. Cold heart is changed to become obedient heart.
Obedience is beginning of successful and beautiful life, beautiful future life until everlasting life. - Dark heart.
Dark heart contains evil desire and unclean desire.
Mark 7:21-22
7:21. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22. "thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
Through fasting prayer, we will experience renewal from dark heart to holy heart. - Weak conscience.
It means heart that is easy to be desperate, dissappointed and proud about something.
I Corinthians 8:7-9
8:7. However, there is not in everyone that knowledge; for some, with consciousness of the idol, until now eat it as a thing offered to an idol; and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
8:8. But food does not commend us to God; for neither if we eat are we the better, nor if we do not eat are we the worse.
8:9. But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.
Through fasting prayer, we experience renewal from weak conscience to strong and good courage/be endurable.
Endurable life is like golden pot.
- Holy Spirit = Spirit of truth.
Holy Spirit will lead us into all righteousness so we can bear all heaviness of true teaching Word.
John 16:12-13
16:12. "I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
16:13. "However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
In Tabernacle, righteousness refers to the court. The practise is we live right in all life aspects starting from speech, behavior, view, etc.
Ministry, marriage and work must be right too.
Psalms 37:25-26
37:25. I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.
37:26. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed.
The result of living in righteousness is we accept physically and spiritually blessing/caring from God until our descendants and we can become blessing for others. - Holy Spirit = Spirit of holiness.
Holy Spirit leads us into holiness.
In Tabernacle, it refers to Holy Place.
Holy place= shepherding= perseverance in 3 main services.
If there is Holy Spirit, we become shepherding life= branch abides to true Vine. We have relationship with holiness, faithfulness and obedience.
The result is sooner/later, we SURELY bear fruit. Bearing fruit means there are happiness and beautifully arranged future life. - Holy Spirit= Spirit of glory.
I Peter 4:14
4:14. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
Holy Spirit leads us to perfection. In Tabernacle, it refers to the Most Holy Place. Spirit of glory makes spiritual and physical miracle..
I Peter 4:15-16
4:15. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters.
4:16. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.
Spiritual miracle is the renewal of life. The renewal starts from being a peacemaker, not stealing and not being a busybody.
'Busybody' = blaspheming Holy Spirit.
If spiritual miracle happens, physical miracle will SURELYhappen. Our life steps are miracle steps. Until someday we experience the last miracle, we are lifted up to glorious clouds with God.
