Bible Study Service in Malang, February 13, 2020 (Thursday Evening)
Peace
and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation
11:1 11:1.
Then I was given a reed like a measuring rod. And the angel stood,
saying, "Rise and measure the temple of God, the altar, and
those who worship there.
It
is about the measuring reed, the one of the shepherd, or the
shepherding Word, namely the Word which God entrusts to a pastor that
he may preach to the congregation faithfully, regularly, continually,
and repetitively, so it becomes food for the congregation and command
about what to and not to do. It also becomes the measuring rod for
measuring our spirituality until the flesh does not speak anymore.
There are two kinds of worship as follows:
-
The true worship.
- The
false worship.
The
signs of the false worship are as follows:
-
The idolatry
to apis/oxen (animals, trees, and so on).
Acts
14:11,13-15 14:11.
Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their
voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have come
down to us in the likeness of men!" 14:13 Then the priest
of Zeus, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and
garlands to the gates, intending to sacrifice with the multitudes.
14:14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard this, they
tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude, crying out 14:15
and saying, "Men, why are you doing these things? We also are
men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that you should
turn from these useless things to the living God, who made the
heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that are in them,
Acts
12:22 12:22.
And the people kept shouting, "The voice of a god and not of a
man!"
It is also to
the angel. Colossians
2:18 2:18.
Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false
humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he
has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
It
is to
Satan or demon too. Leviticus
17:7 17:7.
"They shall no more offer their sacrifices to demons, after
whom they have played the harlot. This shall be a statute forever
for them throughout their generations." '
- The
worship which is based on the tradition.
John
4:20-21 4:20.
"Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that
in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship." 4:21
Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when
you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the
Father.
It
is only to get the physical blessings.
Joshua
8:33 8:33.
Then all Israel, with their elders and officers and judges, stood on
either side of the ark before the priests, the Levites, who bore the
ark of the covenant of the LORD, the stranger as well as he who was
born among them. Half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and
half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the
LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of
Israel.
The
worship in Jerusalem refers to the one with the heart which is like
the den of thieves, namely not in sincerity/honesty, but full of
evil and uncleanness.
Matthew
2:8,13 2:8.
And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search
carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring
back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also." 2:13
Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared
to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and
His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word;
for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him."
- The
worship to the Antichrist.
It is encouraged by the false teachings and only looks for the
physical signs.
Revelation
13:13-15 13:13.
He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from
heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 13:14 And he deceives
those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to
do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth
to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and
lived. 13:15 He was granted power to give breath to the image
of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and
cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be
killed.
The power of the Antichrist is Mammon or the bond of money.
Christians or the servants of God who are bound by money will
worship and be destroyed together with the Antichrist forever.
The
process of worshiping antichrist is as follows:
- The
will of money.
1
Timothy 6:9-10 6:9.
But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare,
and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in
destruction and perdition. 6:10 For the love of money is a
root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the
faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many
sorrows.
It
will increase to the fleshly lust to get money and it cannot be
controlled anymore by the Word.
Then, it will be the love
of money or there is no more love to God and others. The form
is hunting or looking for money until departing the faith and
righteousness and making all ways legal. Consequently, ones only
pierce
themselves through with many sorrows until weeping.
- Money
is put in the heart (the main place of human).
Thus, there is no more room for God or the Word. One is not
faithful and fervent in spirit anymore in the service and ministry
to God.
The form of money in the heart is stinginess and
greediness. The stinginess means that one cannot give to the
work of God and other people who are in need. If there is
stinginess, one will not be able to unite in the body of Christ.
1
Corinthians 5:11 5:11.
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named
a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or
a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat
with such a person.
The greediness is the same as the idolatry or worshiping
the Antichrist.
Colossians
3:5-6 3:5.
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth:
fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness,
which is idolatry. 3:6 Because of these things the wrath of
God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,
It means stealing the possession of God, namely the tithes
and offerings.
Revelation
9:20-21,16 9:20.
But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did
not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not
worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood,
which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 9:21 And they did not
repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual
immorality or their thefts. 9:16 Now the number of the army of
the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them.
Colossians
3:5-6 3:5.
Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth:
fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness,
which is idolatry. 3:6 Because of these things the wrath of
God is coming upon the sons of disobedience,
How
can God set us free from the bond of money? It is through the
tithes and offerings. The tithes refer to God's way to set us
free from the greediness. The offerings refer to God's way to
set us free from the stinginess.
We can give to others who
are in need and God's work. It is the same as giving for edifying
the perfect body of Christ.
Exodus
25:1-2,8 25:1.
Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 25:2 "Speak to the
children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone
who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering.
25:8 "And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell
among them.
It
is for making Jesus dwell among us, so there is no more room for the
wolves and birds.
Exodus
35:5-7 35:5.
'Take from among you an offering to the LORD. Whoever is of a
willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the LORD: gold,
silver, and bronze; 35:6 'blue, purple, and scarlet thread,
fine linen, and goats' hair; 35:7 'ram skins dyed red, badger
skins, and acacia wood;
Exodus
36:6 36:6.
So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed
throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman do any
more work for the offering of the sanctuary." And the people
were restrained from bringing,
The
true worship is encouraged by the truth and Spirit, namely the true
teaching Word in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
John
17:17 17:17.
"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Psalm
24:3-4 24:3.
Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His
holy place? 24:4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who
has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
The heart is sanctified from evil, uncleanness, bitterness,
and deceit until we have a pure heart. The deeds are sanctified
from sins up to the peak. We can do the righteous, holy, and good
deeds until we can repay good for evil.
Psalm
24:5-6 24:5.
He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the
God of his salvation. 24:6 This is Jacob, the generation of
those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah
For example, Jacob could fulfill the measurement of worship
in the holiness.
Genesis
32:24 32:24.
Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the
breaking of day.
He struggled in facing the following two things:
-
Esau = the
Antichrist.
- The
breaking of day or the second coming of Jesus on the glorious
clouds.
Hosea
12:3-6 12:3.
He took his brother by the heel in the womb, And in his strength he
struggled with God. 12:4 Yes, he struggled with the Angel and
prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in
Bethel, And there He spoke to us-- 12:5 That is, the LORD
God of hosts. The LORD is His memorable name. 12:6 So you, by
the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice, And wait on
your God continually.
He struggled while weeping much. We must struggle until
we have a broken heart and confess that we are not worthy, but
powerless in our many mistakes. We
only hope the mercy of God for the following two things:
-
We can keep our
faithfulness and righteousness.
Hosea
12:6
12:6.
So you, by the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice,
And wait on your God continually.
Isaiah
11:5 11:5.
Righteousness
shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness
the belt of His waist.
We
keep on wearing the belt from God. We keep faithful and true in the
service and ministry to God until the end line.
Luke
17:7-8 17:7.
"And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep,
will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once
and sit down to eat'? 17:8 "But will he not rather say
to him, 'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and
serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and
drink'?
The
sign is not insisting any rights, but only doing the duty. We
willingly sacrifice for glorifying God or serving and ministering to
Him.
The faithful and true servant of God refers to giving
Jesus food and drink to satisfy or please His heart. Then, He will
give us food and drink.
Revelation
12:14 12:14.
But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might
fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a
time and times and half a time, from the presence of the
serpent.
The
faithfulness and righteousness will become the two wings of a great
eagle to evacuate us to the wilderness, far away from the presence
of the Antichrist for three and a half years.
Jeremiah
13:1-7 13:1.
Thus the LORD said to me: "Go and get yourself a linen sash,
and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water."
13:2 So I got a sash according to the word of the LORD, and put
it around my waist. 13:3 And the word of the LORD came to me
the second time, saying, 13:4 "Take the sash that you
acquired, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the
Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole in the rock." 13:5
So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.
13:6 Now it came to pass after many days that the LORD said to
me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take from there the sash
which I commanded you to hide there." 13:7 Then I went to
the Euphrates and dug, and I took the sash from the place where I
had hidden it; and there was the sash, ruined. It was profitable for
nothing.
Without
the belt of faithfulness and righteousness, our life will be useless
although we are great.
- We
are able to wait for the second coming of Jesus on the glorious
clouds.
Psalm
27:14 27:14.
Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your
heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!
We
can keep strong and of good courage. We do neither become evil,
unclean, weak, nor proud. We are not disappointed. We do not leave
God, but keep faithful and fervent in spirit in the service and
ministry to God until the end line.
Being strong and of good
courage is the same as being silent and quiet. We only surrender and
cry out to God, stretch our hands to Him, and worship Him. He will
stretch out His powerful hands to us.
The
results are as follows:
- The
power of God's employment.
Joshua
1:9 1:9.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do
not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you
wherever you go."
We are used in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter
rain or the one of the edification of the perfect body of Christ.
- The
power of healing from the physical and spiritual diseases.
Mark
9:23-24 9:23.
Jesus said to him, "If you can believe, all things are
possible to him who believes." 9:24 Immediately the
father of the child cried out and said with tears, "Lord, I
believe; help my unbelief!"
- The
power of lifting up from the physical and spiritual deterioration.
Mark
6:46-51 6:46.
And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to
pray. 6:47 Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle
of the sea; and He was alone on the land. 6:48 Then He saw
them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about
the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea,
and would have passed them by. 6:49 And when they saw Him
walking on the sea, they supposed it was a ghost, and cried out;
6:50 for they all saw Him and were troubled. But immediately
He talked with them and said to them, "Be of good cheer! It is
I; do not be afraid." 6:51 Then He went up into the boat
to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in
themselves beyond measure, and marveled.
Matthew
14:23,29-31 14:23.
And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the
mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone
there. 14:29 So He said, "Come." And when Peter had
come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
14:30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was
afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord,
save me!" 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His
hand and caught him, and said to him, "O you of little faith,
why did you doubt?"
The
failures are changed into success and beauty. It continues
until the time of Jesus' second coming that we are lifted up on
the glorious clouds to be with Him forever.
God
blesses you.
